Latin name: Tonitrus Scipio
Translation: Thunder Mace
Species: Earth Dragon
Eggs:
Earth dragons dig out nesting sites, bashing them smooth with their mallet-like tails, before burrying their clutches in the ground. The babies then break out of their shells and must dig their way to the surface. Much like crocodiles, they chirp in order to draw their mothers back to the nest site and once one baby hatches, it starts a chain reaction for the others to start breaking out. These clutches are fairly large in comparison to other dragon types, ranging from 3-5 eggs, with several females making their sites close together for added protection.
Juvenille:
Habitat: Caves, mines, and caverns
Characteristics:
Behavior: Exceptionally social, these dragons will often live together in groups called "quarries". While their numbers rarely reach a dangerous level, there are tales of one such quarry containing hundreds of dragons, and during their nesting season they caused a sink hole under a local bridge.
