◊ €icяcǚ$ Ðiαbө£iqǚΣ ◊ The time period is of modern day, but even today's technology won't be able to comprehend the tale I'm about to tell.
You are merely wandering around your city, minding your own business. The sun was setting and you needed to get home, but then... Then you hear it: "Come with me..." It sounded like a child's voice, small ghostly fingers seeming to pull at your very soul in the direction of the voice. And sure enough, more voices joined the first, all pulling at your clothes, your hands, your chest (heart and soul). "This way..." "It'll be fun..." "Follow us..." "Join us...” You follow the voices of spiritual children, their laughter, their trance-like tone, the pulling of your soul. Down the street and make a few turns, cut through alleyways and parks to the outside of town. There it is... “Welcome to the Circus...”
Were there any flyers around the city? Who knew that the circus was coming? How did they set up here so quickly, as if they appeared out of nowhere? It was only in the olden days did circuses seemed to flourish around the world, providing entertainment and only needed laughter as payment. So... why was one here now?... Something seemed very wrong, yet you couldn't help but be drawn to the mysterious tents that awaited you.
There were many tents, some scarier than others. One tent had terrifying creatures locked in cages, glowing eyes piercing from darkness, chains rattling and scaring the other people nearby. In another tent was a man, seeming to be in his late twenties, but what surrounded him were living dolls. He even offered to some of the young girls to try being a doll themselves. The parents allowed it for reasons unknown. Were they in a trance? Well the girls would be soon enough. As the man took what looked like a wind-up key for toys and pressed it lightly against the girls’ backs, he turned the key, and their eyes went blank.
You get out of there quickly, looking around at the other tents. Why was everything so creepy? Weren’t circuses supposed to be fun, happy, and exciting? As you enter a third tent, this one had a group of people circled around what looked like another man, only his clothes seemed different. It was like he was from India or something, wearing the clothes of a Snake Charmer. In the center of the circle, the man stood with a few others, all of them on instruments. As they played, snakes of all kinds seemed to dance to the music as well as the people.
Again, you leave the tent and plan to get out of this circus before something went wrong. Too late. You entered the Hall of Mirrors. Poltergeists and ghostly clowns popped out of the mirrors, scaring the living daylights out of you. What could be worse than this? Finding the Haunted Carousel. You get on the ride, kicking yourself in the a** after you were seated. Why are you staying to ride this ride? Didn’t you just say to yourself not too long ago that you needed to get out of here? Again, it’s too late. The ride started. For a while, everything seemed to actually be normal. That’s when the horses and other animals of the carousel came to life. Well you sure did get the lucky ride, picking a bucking bronco that sent you flying off the ride and into the dirt.
As you get to your feet, brushing the dirt off your clothes and assessing yourself for injuries, there is a sudden group of people charging at you. They sweep you up by accident, getting you caught in the rushing people. Where were they heading? The main tent...
Well, you’re stuck in this tent now, so might as well stick around for the show. This is the main tent of the circus, larger than all the rest. Stands were at the edges of the tent so everyone had a place to sit while watching the show, and you just happened to be front row. Wanna know the worst part of it all? The main show was starting right now, exactly at midnight.
The hole in the roof of the tent spilled moonlight into the tent as all the other lights died away. Stepping into the shaft of light in the center of the ring was the Ringmaster, holding a microphone to the smirk on his lips.
“Ladies and Gentlemen! Allow me to direct your attention to the center stage, where you will bear witness to terrifying sites that will haunt you until the day you die. Behold! The Circus Diabolique! And let the nightmare begin!”

Many days later, the town that you once lived in was completely deserted; a ghost town. The circus disappeared as well. Police from all over the country swarmed to the site: sheriffs, police officers, special agents of the FBI, everyone. What had happened here exactly? Well it turns out that The Circus Diabolique is really taking the souls of everyone in a city before deserting it. Some of the luckier citizens have a special connection to the circus and actually join it, becoming one with their true self, one with their inner beast, one with their godly powers. This wasn’t the first time this has happened, however. The Circus Diabolique has visited many well-populated cities across the entire world, yet no one can find it to bring the culprits to justice.
Now, The Circus Diabolique is visiting yet another city. The circus itself is actually in town for a few days before everyone has “visited” the “entertainment”. So, are you one of the performers of the circus, taking part in the acts to steal souls and cause mischief while in town? Or are you helping the police to take down this freak-show? Maybe you’re just an unlucky citizen to have been drawn to the circus?

◊ Rules and Regulations ◊ 1. I am VERY sorry if I got carried away in the storyline. sweatdrop I had time on my hands and I was bored so.... yeah.... Also, I was lazy in finding fancy symbols for the title each post other than the first one (see the Circus Diabolique title? Tis pretty? All the others are just plain but they still have the diamond thingys. deal with it)
2. No GodModding, no one, even you are immortal.
3. Please follow both the guild rules and the Gaia Rules so we don’t get into trouble
4. Keep foul language to a minimum please, and censor please if you do cuss. The staff doesn't take to kindly to it.
5. Do not kill off another member without informing me that they are ok with it. That just wouldn't be nice.
6. We all have brain blocks here and there, so don’t worry about posting like a bajillion paragraphs like the storyline in one post.
7. No text talk and try to work on your grammar. Sorry, I’m a bit of a grammar-nazi at times, but only when I seriously can’t understand your post.
8. We can have some romance in here too, but keep it PG-18 please! Anything further, if you have to, PM's please. The rest of us don't need to see that...
9. Try to be active, if not, then why bothering joining?...

11. For Circus Occupations, it would be nice to have rather even numbers of each, but since I know most will either be Performers or Warriors, so it’s alright. We can just play random characters if needed, but no profile is needed for them in the roleplay because we probably won’t be using them often.

◊ Circus Diabolique Occupations ◊ These occupations are for those in the Circus only. There may be limits to how many there will be of certain occupations, so it's first come, first served. Other Occupations may be added later or at the request for something else. Ringmaster/Ringmistress - There is generally only one Ringmaster. If it's a male, it's master. If female, it's mistress. Sometimes (if say the Ringmaster is in a relationship), there will be a Ringmaster AND a Ringmistress, but that's it. In any case, the Ringmaster/mistress is the ruler of the entire Circus Diabolique, in charge of deciding what city to attack next, which souls are stolen and which are saved for use in the circus, etc. Do not disobey the Ringmaster/mistress no matter who you are or else you WILL feel the consequences... Head Trainers - There is only three Head Trainers allowed. This is a small group of beings who are basically second in command compared to the Ringmaster/mistress. They are obviously Trainers, so they train the others in the circus. The reason there is three is because one is in charge of the Basic and Star Performers. The second is in charge of the Warriors and Elites. The third is in charge of the Basic and Super Freaks. All three of them are in charge of the Sub-Trainers though, since they are the ones giving them instructions to the Sub-Trainers. Sub-Trainers - There can be an infinite number of Sub-Trainers. They follow the Head Trainers' orders to help train all the other members of the Circus. Simple enough, right? They can be used all around for most cases, sort of like the Super Freaks. Basic Performers - There can be a bajillion Basic Performers for all I care. These are those mythical beings that entertain the citizens. Some are used to simply draw the prey in or (when the circus stays in town a few days) they are the ones causing most of the mischief around the city (not counting the Basic Freaks). The Basic Performers are rarely used in the star performances for soul stealing. Star Performers - I'm going to be putting a maximum of about five Star Performers. These beings are just what their title says: the stars of the circus. They are most often used for the massive soul-stealing process rather than the Basic Performers. Sure, they can cause some mischief outside of the circus, but only if they are accompanied by either two Warriors or at least one Elite. The Ringmaster/mistress doesn't want anything happening to his/her stars. Warriors - There can be an infinite number of Warriors. These are the standard guards of the circus, usually just making sure there aren't any fights within the tents. They also help keep control of the Basic Performers if they get out of hand and the Basic Freaks and Super Freaks if necessary. Elites - There should probably be a maximum of ten Elites. Just as the Star Performers are special compared to the Basic Performers, the Elites are special compared to the Warriors. These Elites are personal guards for the Star Performers. The Ringmaster/mistress almost always has a least one Elite with his/her Stars at all times. This is necessary to make sure the Stars are safe. If anything happened to them, the first ones in line of feeling the Ringmaster's/mistress's wrath would be the Elites. Basic Freaks - There can be about an infinite number of Basic Freaks. These are usually deformed, monstrous beings that are required to remain in cages at all times. They are emotionally unstable and need a lot of handling. They aren't used in soul-stealing a lot, but they are used with the Basic Performers to cause havoc around the town. Super Freaks - There's a maximum of seven Super Freaks. These are also deformed and monstrous beings like the Basic Freaks are, but rather than needing so much control, the Super Freaks are much more stable. They are also used in the soul-stealing like the Stars are, but the Stars will always be the favorites. The Super Freaks can also be used with the Basic Freaks and Basic Performers for causing havoc, yet if there's a REALLY bad situation, the Super Freaks can also help the Elites in protecting the Star Performers. ◊xxStorylinexx◊xxRules and Regulationsxx◊xxC. When the police tracked her down one of the officers shot at her so she shot back in self denfense but she accidently killed the man.When she escaped from the police she met Kago Kasan. The dark side is what she calls her Dark Angel, someone cruel and seeks pleasure in hurting others. The playful side is her actual self, someone who is usually happy and loveable, maybe a little hyper and such. The shy side is her Light Angel side, someone who is very nervous around others and would rather be left alone. Appearance: In her Mythic Form, she has a White Feathery wing sprouting of her left shoulder and a Black Feathery wing that’s forever injured from her right shoulder.  Bio: Misu was born in France, but she didn’t stay there long. Her parents died in a fire and she was taken into a foster home. She was quickly adopted into a rather nice family and grew up there. However, when she was somewhere in her late teens, she was drawn into the Circus of Diabolique. She actually got lost in the circus at some point. She met up with the Ringmaster personally, and he offered her a new life. Taken in by the trance that was the Circus’s main advantage over people, she accepted. Looks 13-ish Gender: Female Height: 5’ 2” Weight: 87lbs Race: Vampire-Werewolf Hybrid Side: Circus Diabolique Occupation: Basic Performer Personality:Tsuki is just like a child, having a variety of emotions. She is usually hyper, playful, and rather cruel-minded, but she can also be nice to those she likes, hateful to those she despises, and quiet when she’s either tired or content. If she’s hungry, it’s best not to get in her way of her prey. Appearance: Tsuki is the one on the left covered in blood and drinking from what looks like a juice box. (let me tell you though that that’s not juice...)  Bio: Tsuki and Hina aren’t sisters. Tsuki was born in the middle of the 1700’s, about a hundred years before Hina would wake up from her grave (check out Hina’s bio for more information). Tsuki was abused in her family, being that she was the youngest and a girl in a family of three older brothers, a drunk of a father, and a sickly mother. The mother died soon after Tsuki was born, so once Tsuki could walk and whatnot, she was taught to be the “good house girl”. Tsuki never went to school and was forced to work at home, taking care of the house. When her father came home drunk again after work, he would often beat Tsuki until she was unconscious. Finally, when Tsuki was 7 years old, she ran away from home and never looked back. Tsuki went into an orphanage and found a nicer family that let her go to school. Unfortunately, the family was killed when Tsuki was 13. Terrified, she ran into the forest to escape, only to be tracked down by the two murderers: a vampire and a werewolf. They each bit her once, then left her to either die in the pain or become a hybrid. Either way, they didn’t care about her. Tsuki lived through the pain and became a Vampire-Werewolf hybrid, only to continue her life in sorrow, despair, and loneliness. Throughout the next two hundred years or so, Tsuki would sulk in forests around cities, preferring to stay away from all human society. She was then found by Hina, and with Hina being a mother-figure, Hina comforted Tsuki in her time of sorrow and weakness. Tsuki had finally found someone that cared about her, and thus the two grew a bond stronger than the normal bond between a mother and child, or sister to sister. As Hina and Tsuki grew closer, Tsuki got the chance to be a real child since Hina was the mother. So, at the start of the RP, Tsuki and Hina aren’t actually part of Circus Diabolique just yet, but they will probably join soon enough. She can be strict if necessary, but she’s generally a kind and caring person. Well, because she’s a doll, she doesn’t exactly have emotions. She just acts out in kindness and such. But... if anyone tries to take Tsuki away from her, even though Hina will seem expressionless, she becomes extremely hostile. Appearance: Hina is the one on the right, not covered in blood. Bio: Hina and Tsuki aren’t sisters. Hina was “born” sometime in the late 1500’s to a rather nice family. However, the entire family (except Hina) died in a fire, placing Hina in an orphanage. Hina was then adopted into another somewhat nice family, but for some odd reason, Hina died of an unknown heart condition at the age of 17. The adoptive family buried her and never saw Hina again. Years later, when the graveyard was being ransacked by a couple of grave-robbers, they came across Hina’s grave and dug it up. Though Hina had died around three hundred years ago (so this time was now somewhere in the 1800’s), Hina’s body was perfectly preserved... and somewhat alive... As soon as the moonlight hit her face, Hina’s eyes opened. The grave-robbers were scared out of their minds and took off. Hina literally rose from the grave and cleaned up the graveyard like a mother would clean the house, making sure everything was put back into place. Then Hina started to roam the world, never needing to eat or sleep or anything. The truth was that when died of the unknown heart condition, it was really some scientist at the orphanage testing an experiment. He had put something in Hina’s drinks that would slowly turn her into a doll, but Hina was adopted before the experiment was complete and thus she “died” for some hundred years. During that time, what serum that was in her body did in fact preserve her body like a doll, and in the end, the experiment was a success. In any case, Hina roamed the world for a good hundred years (so now it’s the 1900’s) before she came across Tsuki in the forest. Being a mother-figure, Hina comforted Tsuki in her time of sorrow and weakness, and thus the two grew a bond stronger than the normal bond between a mother and child, or sister to sister. So, at the start of the RP, Hina and Tsuki aren’t actually part of Circus Diabolique just yet, but they will probably join soon enough.
