The trainee's side quest to save floating balloon man had lead him straight into what seemed like a resting quarters of some sort. An inn, well, sans the actual food part, though the rooms were nice. Oh look, one of them even had his name on it, well kind of, whatever gaming rules were vague anyway, he was just going to set his hearth stone here now okay.
What seemed like a basic guild tabard was waiting for him in this room - he had seen several of the other guildies wearing this - it was this awful tacky gold and white but whatever, a tabard was a tabard and he needed the reputation. Shrugging the coat on, the trainee spent all of thirty seconds just sitting on his bed twiddling his thumbs before finally standing back up nearly bursting with energy. Who cares if his mana or HP hadn't replenished he had so many things to do, so many.
But first, he needed to probably get acquainted with some of the new guild mates, because as strong as he felt, he was probably not ready to take a five -man heroic all on his own. It was time for in-game socializing. Justin poked his head out of his room, taking a look left, and then right, before running down the hallways shouting very loudly. "HEY! ANYONE WANNA DO A HEROIC RUN WITH ME?"

Gale was, in fact, having a very nice little time in his room.
A nice quiet time, sans Jinhai's irritating, deliberately mock innocent comments about whatever he was doing.
<< You're reading comics again? Someone sure knows how to spend his time wisely... >>
<< A second piece of pie? Tsk tsk... >>
<< Wow, you really like dropping your clothes on the floor, don't you? >>
It got to the point where if anyone were near Room 112 they would hear a muted sort of scuffling, some muffled squabbling, and then silence as both Gale and Jinhai both lapsed into silence.
Which was, once again, broken, but this time not by Jinhai - there was someone making a racket somewhere outside of his room, and Gale, with a melodramatic sigh, pushed himself to his feet and flung open the door.
Then promptly stared.
"What," he asked. "are you doing."

Justin stopped briefly, just briefly, at the obtrusion in his path. He blinked a few times. Oh, a gnome, hadn't that other guild member said they were in Ogrimmar? What were gnomes doing there unless this guild was so awesome it combined the powers of Alliance and Horde? This would be slightly more awesome if Justin could then figure out what exactly happened when this new guild PVPed.
Having the gnome staring at him did help interrupt this current train of thought. Justin's first reaction was actually to call the unfamiliar face a dwarf, but everyone knew that dwarfs had long elegant beards. The Mist trainee didn't hesitate for a single second as he saluted the gnome, making sure to lean over a bit to emphasize his height. "Hello there short stuff! You wanna go like, party on a heroic run with me? I mean I got this legendary weapon today, and I think I got got my gear updated, and now I'm wearing the guild tabard, but I wanted to make sure to rep grind with this new guild so I could buy all the items and..."
The blather continued on and on, for a good few minutes before he stared at Gale expectantly.

Gale only heard "hey there short stuff" before reaching a hand up and sloooowly rubbing his face. It was not as if he were not used to it by now (in fact, if someone didn't mention his height, he thought it might be weird), but this guy was blathering on and on about things that Gale had no clue about.
To add to this, the lamb was leaning over and saluting him, as though talking to some sort of tiny creature.
The expression on Gale's face clearly said What on earth is wrong with you.
....guild tabard? Rep grind? Guild?
Confused Gale was confused.
"You want to...go on...a 'heroic run' with me," said Gale slowly, trying to figure out what this guy was actually saying. "Like...a...training run?"

The expression on Gale's face clearly said 'Justin, you are so amazing, I would be honoured to do any sort of heroic run or raid with you, but please how can I ever live with myself in your awesome presence?'
So really, it was no surprise that this gnome seemed very bewildered as they responded to Justin slowly. The Mist trainee knew exactly what to do in this situation: downplay himself, as to not intimidate the other even further. "Have no worry, small gnome, I will carry you the entire time and make sure you aren't hurt. You have no reason to be in awe of how amazing I am."
There, now they should fee much better.

It was probably a good thing Gale couldn't see inside of Justin's head.
A very very good thing. Especially considering that the next words out of the boy's mouth was something along the lines of "Have no worry, small gnome."
Gale's expression was quite an interesting one. It was like he was trying to figure out whether or not this new trainee was joking or whether he was completely serious.
<< I think he's completely serious. >>
I think he's completely serious.
Jinhai's voice sounded as if he were desperately trying to keep back a laugh. Gale lifted his hand, rubbing his face slowly.
"....okay?" he said, squinting blankly at Justin. "Er..."

To Justin, gnomes all had the same expression anyway, so it didn't quite matter why Gale's eyebrows were currently flat enough to roll a rolling pin against.
He stood there and waited expectantly. "Well, whenever you are done preparing your equipment, shall we head off? There are foes for us to defeat, small gnome, we cannot wait all day!"
He emphasized this with a hearty clap to Gale's back, a gesture of friendship. It was important to make all sorts of friends in this guild, look, they were bonding already!

The more this new guy talked the flatter Gale's brows got.
<< I think I like him. >>
I'm ignoring you now.
This time Gale put both of his hands over his face, rubbing them up and down in a slow, rhythmic moment. Apparently Justin was just one of those people you had to take with a grain of salt.
He sighed.
"Right, yes, I'm ready," said Gale, reaching for his coat and sliding it on with an expression of mild exasperation directed at the boy in question.
Who he was now going to refer to as Gameboy in his head, since clearly he thought he was living some sort of fantasy game.
"Let's go, let's go."

Justin did Gale proud as he sauntered through the dorms, exclaiming to any Hunters and trainees in sight with his raid chat voice, "GNOME IN PARTY COMING THROUGH, MIND YOUR STEPS."
Even people in their rooms could probably hear it, and a few Hunters walking between the dorms and training fields did give the two trainees odd looks as Justin continued to holler and strut his walk mode strut.
The simple five minute walk felt like forever before the mist trainee finally turned around. "Which dungeon should we take, sir gnome?"

Gale was starting to wonder if there was something distinctly off with this...new trainee.
<< Is he calling you a gnome? >>
Yes.
<< I think I like this kid. >>
You would, came the disgruntled reply, but it was drowned out by the sound of Jinhai's laughter, sounding immensely entertained even though he had been kidnapped the night before by one Zoobey and forced to share his living space with a ghost that doesn't really exist except in Kuro's mind.
It seemed like ten years later that Justin finally stopped. Gale stared blankly at him.
"...er. You pick?"

"Hmmmm...." Justin scrutinized the first two courses. "Nah, not those two, I need something more of a challenge." He passed by the next two as well, continuously monologue the entire way about how he preferred holy priests in raid over discipline and how avenger's shield really needed a smaller cooldown, before he suddenly stopped.
They were standing in what looked like a dilapidated, run-down barn. Perhaps if Gale searched his memory banks far enough, he would realize these were the same barns that had kept the live reindeer from last Christmas, and if that was not enough of a memory jog, the smell still permeating from it was. Justin gave the death trainee a thumbs up. "Found one!"

"More of a - what - sorry - " said Gale, struggling to keep up behind Justin and trying to figure out just what on earth he was talking about.
Then he promptly smacked into the other's back as Justin stopped abruptly, and Gale, rubbing his nose a bit, scowled at the trainee.
"What - "
The smell, however, was enough to figure out where they were.
The stables.
"And what," said Gale. "exactly are we doing in here."

"I think I got an idea!" Justin rubbed his hands together, ignoring entirely Gale's protests, or maybe he just thought it made the other seem more charming. "We're gonna run in together, and I'll pop my first cooldown, and kite the adds into the field outside, where you should pop your first two cooldowns, don't worry I'll have Might cast on you so its not so bad and..."
The trainee continued to blather on for another five minutes straight at the game plan. At this close a proximity to the infamous shed, it was really beginning to smell.

Gale was wondering whether or not Justin was speaking a different language every time he opened his mouth, since he couldn't quite grasp what he was saying.
He's speaking Justinese. I don't speak Justinese.
After five minutes of inhaling the Not Very Pleasant stench of...whatever it was that had once lived in this stable (and might as well have died there, it smelled that bad, anyway), Gale held up his hand, clapped it over Justin's mouth, and said, with a great deal of exasperation, "Okay okay I get it - " (he didn't really, but maybe Justin would stop talking now) " - let's just start already."
