It was that time again. A new batch of hunters fresh from their sleeper pods, with a healthy amount of mental trauma, one viewing of Clarice golem getting killed for Dr. H’s shits and giggles, division sorting which was nothing like house sorting in harry potter, and a trip down to the weapon cave..place… The place where you got your annoying head invader.
I resent that.
I resent you.
I don’t. You have a lovely a** and we have been over why I picked-
We’re done here.

Marcus had pulled out the pizza from the cafeteria freezer’s heed been saving, (he’d had to sacrifice one in order to keep the others safe. The thing he did for- well. Certainly not love and more like comradely). Pop was set out with plastic cups in the common room with napkins and paper plates as well. No vegetarian or vegan would find anything but Marcus didn’t think that would be an issue. Pizza and pop, two simple foods that brought people together. It was a simple welcoming get together for the new trainees. Strays and Hatchings hosting, welcoming the lambs, (to slaughter). Well, trial by fire roasted jalapeño never hurt anyone.

Lounging on the edge of the pool table, Marcus wondered when they would arrive. And hopefully unlike the Hatchling batch, there wasn’t any bad blood with the candidate trials. So. Dumb.

There was an orange-and-white blur also known as the phenomenon known as Justin Case zooming towards the table, most likely attracted to the party at the smell of food. Two seconds later he had in his plate five slices of pizza.

"Awesome mage table, bro." He gave Marcus a thumbs up and started inhaling the pizza, which really, did not seem healthy for anyone to do. Another five seconds and he had already wolfed down the first slice, taking a gulp of the Pepsi-Cola he had magically poured himself somehow in the process of. Chew chew, swallow. On his third slice, he finally slowed down. "So s'up man, loving this guild so far. When are we gonna you know, do the hardcore raids and stuff?"

Even though Deryk had seen all of the lambs, he still wanted to get to know them a little more. The orientation and awakening didn't really lend too much for that. He also wanted to see what cool new weapons were hovering on about now as well. Making his way into the lounge, he spotted Marcus and Justin there, with the latter devouring the food laid out.

whistled Tooley.

"Hey guys!"

Ah heard there was a party.

We are not going to a party. you're too stupid and inbred for a party and you'll end up embarrassing me at a party.

We're goin' ta a party. Ofelia was looking over what meager clothing she had to wear, meaing she took her a-frame off and put her pretty new Jacket on, and she rubbed the back of her foot against her leg as she started towards where she'd heard rumors of a party. Or something. Ah like parties.

Why the ******** don't you even listen to me. Rue was getting tired of this whole 'my partner isn't going to listen to me' bit and they hadn't even been together a full two days. Life was sucking for the knuckledusters.

The pair moved towards were something was being set out in the lounge, her feet plodding along the floor at a happy and upbeat tempo. She rounded the corner and took in the sights, grinning ear to ear at everyone. "Howdy!" No one was safe from her greetings.

To sum it up, Ofelia was barefoot, wearing her daisy duke shorts, and her hunter jacket. At least she'd bothered to pull her hair into a ponytail.

Justin paused for a second at the new arrivals, taking a thoughtful chew before gulping. He quickly helped himself to two more pizza slices and another cup of Root Beer, giving Ofelia a thumbs up. "Cool gear man, I dig it. Must be great for roleplaying 'n stuff."

Another bite of pizza - which was really, half the pizza slice - as he stared at everyone with the biggest, brightest eyes ever, as if to communicate the words 'Are we raiding yet are we are we are we are we are we?'

"Why thank ya. Yer gears lookin' pretty good too, ya preppin' for sommin'? Mind a group member?" If she recalled correctly this had been the boy who had spent much of the time from before talking in terms she knew about vaguely. While she wasn't much of a gamer a few of the kids in town had been, always talking about things like 'buffs', 'heals' and the occasional 'newblet'. None of those words even registered in her brain but she could at least place them into proper context. Having said her piece Ofelia walked over and took a slice of pizza herself, grinning at Justin before biting in.

"Ah wonder if parties like this are part'a normal deal 'round here."

The first newbie arrived and- Marcus had no idea what was wrong with them. Did they just... have more mental problems than normal? Was the guy a savant? Plus- "Okay just- Holy ******** you are eating a lot of pizza." A step back. "uh...There isn't..any..guild? And we're trainees we dont do..raids or hardcore anything. Unless you count grunt work and having our asses handed to us on a regular basis."

Deryk's arrive was meet with a much more relaxed state from Marcus. "Hey Deryk. Seen much of these lambs yet? I've been out training and working so this is the first chance I've had to see them and not just get texts about them." The one who arrived with an enthusiastic 'Howdy' was met with a wave before her turned back to Deryk. "So taking bets on how long the optimism will last? My bet is either first mission, or first time with Caelius."

Grabbing some pizza for himself, Deryk waved as Ofelia came on by as well.

"Yeah. Was there when they woke up. Kinda neat actually. Seeing all the lambs come around," he mused before blinking as Marcus mentioned Caelius. Oh right... Most of the Hunters probably didn't know anything of that.

"Er.. About that.. Caelius is uh. Apparently missing. MIA. Some guy named Stacey in charge of Death division right now," he said.

Ofelia brightened up as she saw Deryk wave to her and she waved back, her cheeks stuffed full of too much pizza. She wasn't even really taking her time eating, she enjoyed the taste of food, and she also extended the wave to another guy who's name she had no idea. There were a lot of guys here, to be honest, and Ofelia was a little surprised. Where were all the girls at? There had been a ton of them when she first woke up but now there were none to be seen. It was sort of like having her own mini harem, if Ofelia were the kind to think such things.

She sadly wasn't, so the mood and moment was very much wasted. What wasn't wasted however was her eavesdropping on them and some of their conversation. She didn't catch most of it, just pieces here and there, and she force swallowed a large chunk before opening her mouth to speak. "So um...why are ya callin' us lambs? That some kinda code for newbies?"

He had heard a batch of trainees had woken up recently. The news made him curious. First were the Strays. He was part of the Hatchlings. Now this group was the…what was the name circulating around the facility? Lambs? Wilson wondered if the new group lived up to the name, but in the back of his name it seemed like a fitting title. Being a hunter wasn’t exactly all sunshine and rainbows (oh if only).

When he made his way over, he already spotted a few faces. A couple of them were new, causing Wilson to curiously eye the unfamiliar girl and boy before his attention strayed toward Marcus and Deryk. Waving, he walked over toward his fellow death trainee and caught the last of his words. His smile turned into a confused frown. “Caelius? He’s missing?” And now some dude named Stacey—that was odd, but then again he had once named a girl who shared his name—was in charge of them? “Really now. How’s uh…Stacey? Is he nice?” Wilson really hoped so. Once he noticed the girl’s pizza he stared at the slice before moving to retrieve a piece of his own. “Code for newbies? I guess you could say that.”

New toyssss. She'd realised it when she met Justin then, so she couldn't say she had been completely clueless about the new trainees, see, she did keep herself updated on what was going on on the island! The majority of people present she already recognised, though- those from her batch, or the one previous. One particular familiar face was stuffing himself with pizza, and there was a grand total of one other girl she didn't recognise.

Oh come on, you had to be kidding- just two? Maybe there were more, they just hadn't heard about the party yet. Reine was just slightly disappointed, since she had been looking forward to socialising a little, something Ally had encouraged as well.

Stay with your kind, she'd said.

"Hey Deryk, Wilson." Reine was glad to see the two of them looked okay, after the horseman encounter. She nodded to the new girl, and briefly introduced herself- Reine, Life division.

"What're you guys up to? Pretty sad party here."

Ofelia looked up as another person entered, another girl, and she was pleased to find that aside from her own group she wasn't going to be the only female that she'd seen here at the club house. Well, there were those people who'd been in the room too, that Candace, and she still wasn't so sure as to what to think of that person called Clarice. The whole neck snapping thing was fresh in her mind as being entirely too cool. This person titled themselves as a Life Division member, prompting Ofelia to wonder if that was how everyone was going to have to introduce themselves from now on.

Did divisions really matter? All Ofelia really recalled was being handed a jacket the moment she stepped out of the Cove with Rue on her arm and it had a sun symbol on it. The teen had taken it as a good sign, she loved sunshine and the things that came with it, but apparently there had been other divisions as well so from now on she assumed Sun had to be tacked onto the end of her name. Did she always have to introduce Rue as well?

Common sense and common decency would suggest that you should always introduce me as well. I am your better half and your soul reason for being here, useless hick. Why did she always emphasize that word? Because she felt like it, that's why.

"Meh." Ofelia went on eating pizza.

"New party members? Heck yeah!" Justin sidled over to Ophelia, as if that somehow symbolized forming a party, still managing the eating thing at the same time. Chew, chew, swallow. "So, is this everyone in our raid group then. What's your spec? I'm a-"

He spotted Reine for a second, giving her another huge thumbs up and a wink, before catching wind of some of the other guild members' conversations. "Pffft I'm totally not a newbie, I'm experienced in fighting all of the things." Yes, yes, that was Justin bragging. He was damn good at his class okay.

"Hmmm." What would Ofelia be, if anything at all? Seeing as Rue was a weapon for close combat. . . . "Ah guess Ah'm yer DPS since mah partner's a set'a knuckledusters. Hope ya dun really mind a girl sittin' in that role."

DPS ....meant damage per second right, and not something else entirely? Ofelia really, really hoped she'd used that phrase correctly.

"Hey guys!" Deryk greeted as a few others came by before focusing on Wilson for the moment, "Yeah.. Hasn't returned from fight against Conquest. Not being claimed as dead yet though. According to Clarice. Stacey is... uh. Kinda an a*****e too. Kinda wonder if that's something needed to be death division lead around here. Perhaps he was just in bad mood. Dunno. Hadn't seen him around."

Catching snippets of conversation between Justin and Ofelia, the death trainee blinked as Justin claimed to have a lot of combat experience. Wait. Were they talking about in game or reality? WoW nerds didn't seem like the types to have a whole lot... but then Ofelia mentioned DPS. But.. there weren't any games around here? None he knew of at least.

Deryk was confused.

"Raid group? Don't think we have any missions lined up right now. Could be wrong," he mused.
