
The dainty she-wolf was unsure of what to do with herself to be honest. It was hard to play by herself, what with her mother and father busy, her siblings all grown up (or missing, in the case of one), and her pack disturbingly still. Had they too been covered by the winter snow? She certainly hoped not . . . Arwen knew that she had only grown up as well as she had because of them. To be alone now would be too cruel.
As she wandered through the snow, a sneeze escaped her. And then another. The she-wolf shook her head, praying she wasn't already getting sick when Winter was just born. Her health, though, wasn't the best in the world . . .
