After the Christmas cheer and the attack but Christmas ninja and everything Christmas-y related died down, Dakota had heard of the treasure cove visit. While he had opted for staying in the dorms, others hadn't and of the teams, Death hunters we're the one's, if not all that had been on the mission to recieve a terrible emotional and physical blow.
He had heard from other's what Caelius had said, what he had implied and shrugged it off. Caelius was a self entitled pompous a** after all. He sniffed at the Death hunter's attitude before stopping in front of the room of one gorgeous angel. One gorgeous angel that he had heard broken a bone that left her bedridden and broken...in terms.
Even worst, his angel was a death angel, part of that b*****d's crew who took the mission and ego blow.
in his hands we're some Hershey kisses, gumdrops and hot cocoa (courtesy of their last meeting), balancing them all, he knocked on her door before putting his ear close to it, in case she replied quietly.
"Eva? Its Dako-Gumdrop." He cringed at the nickname still before continuing, "I just wanted to come by and say hello...?"

Good thing Dakota announced his presence first. If he had opened the door, he would have found Eva flopped miserably on the floor, having fallen in her attempt to get to the door. It was so boring being bedridden--she wanted to go outside! To get some fresh air, and to train! ...But no. With a badly injured leg, it would take some time before she could go back to her usual schedule of early-morning training.
Still, that didn't stop the girl from trying to get out of her room to go for a walk. Unfortunately, she had ended up stumbling and falling in the process (ow, owowowow), and had begun to roll her way towards the door when Dakota suddenly showed up to visit her. Upon hearing her friend's voice, Eva immediately perked up, grinning brightly as she lifted her head off the floor.
"Gumdrop! Come in--door's unlocked!"

Dakota waited a beat before he heard Eva's cheerful reply. Taking a breath, he opened the do to look for her, his eye's set on her bed when well, instead he was met with a supposedly bedridden Eva on the ground. From his deduction of that moment, he assumed she had attempted to leave said bed and escape to freedom....and he was happy to oblige.
Squatting down to her figure, he cocked his head at her before smiling, "Don't like your bed very much do you?" His grin got wider, "Do you want to go outside Angel?" he waited a beat before moving to pick her up, no way in hell was she just going to roll around on the ground to outside, he'd carry around for fresh air and excitement before she'd crawl on the ground like a bug. Not his angel, no way!

Flopped on her back, the girl beamed up at Dakota when he entered, her expression surprisingly cheerful--and vaguely sheepish--as she lifted a hand and fluttered her fingers. "Hi, Gumdrop! Come to visit me?"
She grinned up at him as he spoke, but it took a few seconds until his words actually sunk in. There was a moment where Eva's expression became blank before the huge grin returned full-force. Her eyes might have been sparkling too as she suddenly pushing herself up into a sitting position, clasping her hands in front of her. "Yes, yesyesyes! I've been dying of boredom in here!"
Noting that he was moving to pick her up, she stretched out her hands like a child. If she had a tail, it would probably be wagging a mile a minute right now. "Let's go for a walk!"

Dakota sighed again before shaking his head. "I heard about the mission and was a tad concerned about you. Guess you weren't as bad as I thought..." He sighed wistfully, noticing that though she was excited, it didn't cover the bandages for her wounds or the large cast on her leg.
It was a damn shame he hadn't been there, otherwise he'd show those damn Halloween creatures what happened when you messed with Gumdrop's Angel.
"Next time though give me a text and I'll come get you." He frowned as he lifted her up, grunting a little from the effort before shifting her so that he could carry her without dropping her and so she could get comfortable. He desperately wanted to make perverted jokes about how she was cradled in his arms, pressed all snug and tight close to him but nothing came to mind.
He was just more concerned with making her happy and helping her. Funny, he usually didn't feel this way. "Okay okay." He smiled as he budged the door out of the way before slowly walking outside. it was a effort to carry someone and though Dakota thought he was strong, the training and constant missions did wear on the body. "So Angel....Besides boredom...How are you feeling? Anything you want to get off your Chest?" Yes he was legitamitly asking. Without any perverted innuendo.

Eva absolutely beamed up at him, lifting a hand to pat the front of his head when he bent down. "Nah, nah, I'm fine! I mean, everything aches a little, but it's all good!" Besides the fact that she had been super bored sitting in her room all day doing nothing, but that was already being fixed, so there was no reason to bring that up.
She tried not to shift too much once Dakota managed to successfully pick her up, afraid that her weight would be too much for him. Either way, she was certain that he would get tired of carrying her eventually, but..."Shouldn't I be on your back?" Eva pointed out, grinning, "I mean, won't your arms get tired a lot faster if you have to lug me around like this?"
Maybe she could just sot on her wheely chair and ask him to push her around, as if she was in some kind of makeshift wheelchair. However, before she could suggest this, Dakota suddenly interrupted her thoughts with a question. The seriousness--or at least, the lack of perverted joking--surprised her.
"What? Oh, no, I'm fine. I don't think there's anything I want to sa--" She suddenly thought back to Caelius' words. Disposible. At once, her lips pulled into a deep frown. "Caelius is an a**."

"Everything Aches a little yeah?" He smiled before waggling his eyebrows, "Want a Massage to make it all go away?" He grinned before shifting her again. He frowned at her suggestion.
"Why on my back? That's stupid, I like carrying you this way. Makes me feel all manly and stuff..." He nodded before emphasizing, "And Stuff."
"Nah, Again, I'm tough." He looked so dedicated. * A *.
As he headed down the hallway, he didn't think of anything they could help with their trip outside. A wheelchair? Did they even-
"Eva...Wheelchairs...3'oclock...." He turned her to face them before grinning..." Want to wheelchair race?" He waited for her answer on that before going over there, "Except I really don't want to put you down..."
He frowned at the opinion of Caelius before nodding...and then sighing. "Yup....."

Eva laughed, her mood considerably lighter now that she had a friend to keep her company and now that she wasn't confined to her bed. His offer for a massage--more specifically, the eyebrow waggle that came with that offer--earned a wry smile as she reached out to give him a playful flick on the forehead. "I'm okay, Gumdrop, but thanks anyways!"
His reasoning as to why carrying her on his back earned another laugh. Man, Eva was really glad that he had come to visit--otherwise, she would probably still be flopped on the ground. Still, she wasn't really certain about this idea of him carrying her around. If he ended up getting injured because of her--
--oh? Wheelchairs? The girl perked up, turning to look at them. Her expression was blank at first, but it quickly spread into a bright smile. "That's convenient! And hahaha--a race sounds fun, but Gumdrop, you're current uninjured, and I'd prefer that you stay that way."
Almost immediately after, the smile faded from her face. She looked up at Dakota curiously for a moment, and then, "So you heard? About what he said?" Honestly though...maybe she was making too big of a deal out of it. She always knew that the trainees were replaceable, and that Caelius probably didn't have any emotional attachment to any of them. His proclamation hadn't surprised her, but it had made her angry to actually hear him say it aloud.

"Hey Hey, no need for the flicking of my forehead..." Dakota grinned back before shrugging, "Your loss Angel, I got magic hands."
He liked her laughing, better then seeing her attempt to crawl her way to her freedom. Defenitly a better image.
"Extremely convenient..." Imagine that, wheelchairs placed just for them. Like the Rper of Dakota decided it would be so much more easier for them to have wheel chair races! "I don't question the coincidences around this place anymore cause you know....if it was any other place I would be freaked." Any place besides Dues and Dakota would probably be placed in something similar...with a padded room to bump around instead.
"Eh? What's a couple of injuries on top of the others?" He grinned down at her before placing her in the most...cushiony looking ones before taking a seat in the others. Testing out the hand to wheel ratio and just how face he was going to need to spin, he looked up before blinking.
"Yeah a friend told me." He sighed before sitting back and rubbing his eyes. He was 17.....but what he felt he needed to say was something like a veteran would after coming back from the war. "I don't think we should take too much credit into his words but....at the same time I think its his way of dealing with how much death is here." He blinked again...."I say we take his words to live our life to the fullest...Make the best memories we can? yeah?" He grinned lopsidedly, "Cause apparently we ain't got long anyways." He shrugged before bumping his wheel chair with hers. "Ready to race?"

"Maybe I'll take you up on that offer sometime," Eva chuckled, "But right now...I think fresh air and some casual chatting it what I need the most." It was nice to finally have someone to talk to! The fact that so many people had been injured made it kind of hard to meet up and stand and chat for any extended period of time.
The wheelchairs were indeed convenient, but they were a blessing to Eva (and her RPer) as it now gave her a simple way to move around--a way that did not involve breaking Dakota's back. Grinning, the girl allowed herself to be set down in of the chairs, humming thoughtfully as she grabbed the wheels with her gloved hands. If you're certain that you want to risk injuries, Gumdrop. I may be injured, but I'm definitely not losing." There was a twinkle in her eyes as she said this, and then she turned her attention towards the wheelchair. Now...how was she supposed to do this? Just...wheel yourself forward, right?
...And she had better move both wheels at the same time, unless she wanted to end up swerving into a wall.
Eva looked up in surprise as Dakota spoke, blue eyes widened slightly as she listened to him speak. What he was saying...yes, it made a lot of sense, and his last comment earned an approving grin from the death trainee. Reaching out, she put one arm around her shoulders, pulling him closer so that she could give him an affectionate noogie. "When did you get to be so grown up, huh?" She teased, before grinning and leaning back. "And ooh, yeah. Ready when you are!"

"I knew it, I'll look forward to the day you want my hands all over you Angel." He obnoxiously winked at her before nodding, "Okay okay, I'll back off for now but again, if you change your mind..." He wiggled his fingers at her before resting them on the wheels of the wheelchairs they hijacked.
"I think I can risk my hands bleeding if it means defeating you in a wheelchair race. This is practice fore when or if I make it to a old man okay?" He laughed before speeding ahead her....Zoom.
He tested the steering and bumped into Eva's chair before grinning, "Man these are a lot harder to move then I thought." Not Zoom.
"When I came here?" He pushed her arm off and gave her a endearing grin. "Alright...on your marks."
He started before rubbing his hands....
"Get Set." Placed them on the wheels and looked at her.
"Go!"

"Haha, we'll see, we'll see!" She chirped back cheerfully, waving off his words with a good-natured laugh. Oh, Dakota. He loved his women, didn't he? Eva reached out to give his hair an affectionate ruffle beneath his bandana before pulling back.
Okay, this idea was going to be all kind of stupid and amazing fun at the same time. She adjusted herself until she was settled into the wheelchair more comfortably, only to jump in surprise when she felt the light impact from Dakota bumping into her. "Haha, whoops! Just remember, Gumdrop: a race, not bumper chairs, okay?" Because the last thing she wanted was for the both of them to be flung off of their chairs.
She perked up at the indication that they were about to begin, her fingers reaching down to grasp the wheels. Eva's blue eyes were bright as they slid to meet Dakota's gaze, the grin on her lips growing. She waited for the magic word...
And there it was! The moment the "go" left her friend's lips, she pushed off, wheeling herself forward as fast as she could.
God, they were like four year old children.
