Amphi stretched as she looked out the window from the classrooms. Considering everything that had happened up till now, it was becoming such a good year. She had made it too second year, alive and healthy if not a little traumatized. She was still nervous and shy, a little more friendlier now that she had made some connections with some other students, mainly Sheridan and Xiu, two of the kindest students she had ever come across.
Yes, she had to say overall, this had been eventful but fulfilling year. Yet her heart yearned for more. After she had met Mac she found something that her sister's like to call a puppy love. She crushed on him but it was not meant to be after all. She wasn't really sad about it considering who Mac was with, Lizzy, another one of the nicest ghouls ever and a budding friendship with her. Yes. She knew deep down, she could never be upset with either of the two because they were perfect for each other.
The only thing she had to mope about now was the fact that though she had made close friends, she didn't know anyone else in the school after all. Something she wished to remedy but....didn't know how to go about it.
As if feeling her discomfort at the thought of befriending people, her small shrine fox Himiko curled through her legs. She had taken a habit with bringing the little thing with her everywhere, if not for comfortable companionship, but for protection as well. She was even more skittish around strangers because of the hunters.
"Just how about am I suppose to go making friends when I'm more terrified of them being humans in disguise?" Amphi mused out loud, "It's not like they don't take their time to come out and remind us that they have their ways in here." She frowned, "This is no way to be thinking if I am suppose to make friends right?...Right." She didn't even bother asking the shrine fox for an actual reply. Jack dammit it, she would befriend at least one person this year if it got her killed...again.

Honestly, he wasn't sure what he was doing at the corridor where classes were normally held; it wasn't as if he had signed up for anything yet, seeing how now that he was away from home, he wanted to... Take it easy a little longer, since there weren't any elders to constantly breathe down his neck and remind him of his 'duties' and 'responsibilities'.
"Curiosssssity, perhapssss?" The snake riding on his shoulder offered helpfully, as if she could read his thoughts, "At leasssst I don't have to worry about ussss getting losssst when classsessss sssstart!"
Thanatos just chuckled, shrugging before stopping, mid-stride, at the entrance to one of the classrooms; while most of the other classrooms were empty, this one actually had someone - who was not a gnome - inside! Oddly enough, the ghoul seemed to be alone... Then again, at second glance, there seemed to be a minipet at the feet of the ghoul, so she wasn't really alone.
"I expected classes in such a big school to have more students attending," He commented as he turned in from the corridor and strutted in, his familiar's tongue flicking in and out at a mile a minute, turning this way and that as she tried to find out more about her new surroundings.
"My, my," She sounded surprised, large brown eyes staring straight at Amphi, even though she really couldn't see much of the ghoul, "You ssssmell a little sssssalty and wet, darling!"

Amphi pet the small Kushi as it squeaked at her before jumping at the sound of another person joining the empty classroom. She slowly turned to look at the boil that came in before staring.
She didn't recognize him. And he looked like a human. Her first reaction was to hightail it out of there, and it would almost seem like she would with the way that she flattened herself on the window and put desk between them before taking a breath.
She relaxed a little though as the large thing wrapped around his neck spoke before looking at it. A familiar! So this made the boy a Reaper. She relaxed even more before a small blush rose at the boy and then looking at the Snake familiar.
"Um..." Her face was becoming a embarrassing shade of rosy red again before looking at the empty seats before frowning, "No, Well um...This class isn't being used...well I mean I'm in here but it's not being used for a class....yet....today." She stuttered out before the blush on her cheeks deepened and she clenched her hands tightly together. Pull it together Mermaid. "I mean well uhm-" She was going to continue before staring at the snake and smiling, The feminie? Snake had it right on the spot. "Yes that's right! I'm a mermaid." She addressed the snake more before looking at the boy and taking a deep breath. "Hello, My name is Amphitrite and I am currently using this class to pondering the meaning....of myself." She looked at the snake and then the boy before cocking her head, "Are....Are you guys new? I mean well...I suppose I would address both of you yes? Oh, I've never really met a Reaper with a Familiar." She flushed at the confession before closing her eyes and covering her face, "Even becoming a second year and I still am not use to all the Land walker rituals and stuff....."

"Am I that intimidating?" He couldn't resist teasing, laughing as he pulled a chair up to the desk that she had placed between them, taking a seat directly opposite her; while her reaction was rather funny and amusing, it was always kind of cute, he supposed. It was like... Like she was some kind of a jumpy, timid foxfire.
"The meaning of yourself?" He echoed, stroking his chin with a thoughtful look, leaning over the desk with one arm propped up on the desk top, supporting his chin and holding his head up, "That is a pretty deep question... Not something most people would be bothered with."
He grinned at her little confession, allowing Biskoto to slide off his arm and onto the table, although part of her body was still coiled around his arm. Her tongue flicked in and out, enjoying the smells on the ghoul - it was making her want to go for a swim! Maybe she'll bother Thanatos about bringing her to the school's pool or some pond later.
"I'm Thanatos," He was about to extend out his hand to her when he remembered the reaction of another ghoul - one he had met quite recently - when he went for the alternative greeting... And instantly decided that doing that to this ghoul might be rather rewarding. Getting up from his seat, he took her hand gently, and brought it up to his lips, planting a chaste kiss on her knuckles, "I'm honored to be the first reaper with a familiar that you had met~"
Her hand was then released just as gently, Thanatos trying his best to hide his smirk behind a grin as the snake on the desk piqued up, "And I'm Bisssskoto! I'm the firsssst familiar you've met? Really? That'ssss fantasssstic!"

She flushed as he walked closer, seemingly content enough to take the seat in the desk in front of her. Which left Amphi well...Awkwardly staring at him and not sure how to answer his question. "Well..Uhm...No...It's just well." She stuttered out, her color rising before she began her ramble..."it's not that your scary it's just I am not used to boys and well..." It seemed liked she was talking a mile a minute before she clamped her hand over her mouth. "I mean to say um....Your just strange." Yes Amphi, because that was so much better. "I mean your not strange...I mean..."
She shook her head, her black hair that she had taken into habit of wearing down now (especially since she had let it grow to her waist @w@ and it was heavy in a ponytail) fanned around her and gave her something to play with...to keep her nervousness down before frowning, "Ah yes well." She rose an eyebrow during her frowning before sighing, "It's a question I haven't quite figured out why I should ponder it. I mean, I know myself...I think, So why should I worry about myself? Except well I'm changing and such..." Another new thing she had gotten into the habit of was licking the tips of the small fangs that protruded when she smiled. Becoming a full grown mermaid was having a little more drastic effect on her then she thought. "Maybe I shouldn't bother about it?" She repeated out loud before looking up.
"It's nice to meet you." She geniuely smiled at him though for the introductions, His name was easy enough for her to catch as it sounded like something she would hear from her sister's or from the area where they spent most in waters, "Is that a Greek name? I come from a Greecian Clan...-" and then he got up and came closer to her and he was taking her hand and and....All the color she had before returned full force on her cheeks before her jaw dropped.
He kissed her hand. Nobody kissed her hand before. She stared dumbstruck at it as she tried to decipher how to handle this right now. Problem was, she had too many thoughts in her head on just what to do. He had kissed her hand, the last boil to even do that had been Mac though it wasn't a kiss on the hand but it still felt like it had the same effect and her heart was beating really fast and she felt like all the blood was rushing to her head.
"Oh jack." She looked back up to Thanatos now, not sure how to respond as he released her hand back to her, tucking it in front of her chest like a precious gift...or something. "I...What...yes." She looked to the snake before deciding that it was probably easier to talk to the female half of this duo. Amphi wasn't sure but the reaper made her nervous....
"I...Yes!" She turned her dumbstruck expression into a soft smile as she bent down to the Snake's level and cocked her head, "Hello Biskoto! And yes. I've met many reapers though none with a friend such as yourself." She stood up again before looking over to Thanatos, "So what brings....you..here?" Okay eye contact too long, her face flush with the remembered kiss on the hand and she looked...elsewhere. All the while keeping the desk firmly in between them. Not that it had helped....

Thanatos had sat back down again, going back to his previous posture; arm propped up on the desk, head on his hand as he leaned forward, eyes looking towards the ghoul. Except this time, there was a smirk on his face; he's not even going to hide the fact that her reaction was just really amusing to him. In fact, he was starting to wish that she was a minipet he could tuck under his arm and bring home.
You know, like a foxfire... Except he wouldn't be able to shave her fur to make things out of.
"Very observant of you," He chuckled, raising an eyebrow, "It is indeed a Greek name... Most of the people in my family have Greek names, but there's always a few who decided that they would like to be... Special." And the elders usually don't take kindly to people who try to be too special, "That's interesting... I don't think that I've ever seen a mermaid near my home, but I suppose that as mermaid, they usually stay underwater?" So even if they had lived near each other, he wouldn't know.
"I'm glad to be your firsssst familiar-friend then!" Biskoto nodded happily, slithering closer to the ghoul while giving her hopeful, 'why don't you pat me' glances before freezing when she realized that the mermaid was not alone; there was a minipet there... And it was making her so hungry. Too bad it wasn't a wild minipet... That would solve all the problems!
"I'm new to the school, so I was just exploring it," He answered, making sure to keep looking at Amphi, just enjoying her reactions; this was better than watching skelevision!

Ahhhh now he was staring at her. Staring. Eyes away. Eyes...stop making eye contact.
Amphi's eye's flitted back and forth between him and Biskoto, then outside...then back to him before the floor and then the desk and then....Yeah anywhere but at the eye's that we're staring at her.
"Ah thanks." She smiled to herself more then to him before thinking, "Ah that's true, its not often that the mermaids went on the land..." Well now she sounded silly. "I uh...so what...uhm...Er...." Deep breath girl, deep breath. "What kind of reaper are you?"
She waited for his response before watching Biskoto make her way over and reached her hand out, hesitantly at first and then pet on the top of the head. "Such a pretty Snake you are Biskoto. I don't think I've ever seen one so large though. Is she heavy to carry?" Amphi looked over before flushing, "Not that your big in a heavy way I mean...I don't mean to insult you Biskoto, your a beautiful snake and and...and..." She flushed again before looking at them.
"So...Okay. Your new?" She smiled again, "Welcome to Amityville! Do...Do you know where are your classrooms and such or....or well...do you need to know where anything is?" Again...it was directed more to Biskoto...then...then Mr. Stare a lots right across from her....

Yup, Thanatos would love an Amphi foxfire. Endless entertainment awaits!
"Me? A Clotho reaper," He answered with a grin; what most members of his family would say with pride, he said it like it was just another fact, like his name or one of his birthdays, "I suppose most people would know me as a descendant of one of the three fates~ The one to start things." He paused, resting his whole arm on the table to lean towards the ghoul, his grin widening just a tad, "In fact, would you like me to tell your fortune?" It was hard to tell if he was just teasing.
"Awww, you're cute! Don't worry! I'm supposed to be big! In fact, I think I might grow even bigger in the future!" Biskoto grinned as she let out a series of soft hisses, the snake's version of chuckling, before leaning into the hand that was patting her, enjoying the affection, "Thank you, I'm ssssure that you're a pretty ghoul too!" She just... Couldn't really tell with her heat vision.
"Thank you," He laughed, leaning back against his seat, "Why? Are you offering to show me around?" Even more grinning and staring followed.

Amphi continued to look away. And if her gaze happened anywhere near the Reaper well, it was quickly diverted back.
"Clotho? Ah a Fate!" She smiled at...Biskoto. "It must be interesting to be descended from such a powerful figure! I've never really meant another person descended from the gods." She tapped her lips as she thought of all the ones that she met before shaking her head, "Ah the fate of beginnings." She moved closer to stare at...Biskoto. "Fortune?" Okay she had to admit, he was being mysterious and that, too Amphi who was from the sea was alluring.
"Well...If you want too...I mean you don't have too...I don't think I have much to tell...or well I think My fortune...but you would know best." She rambled again before closing her eyes..."Do I...What do I need to do?"
Her face flushed again at Biskoto before smiling...shyly. Her head ducked in a little. "Thank you for the compliment Biskoto." Her hand continued to reach out and pet the snake, leaning in for more too look at her before her eyes widened, "Ah Biskoto! Your going to get so much bigger! That's so exciting!" She smiled at the snake before flushing, "No no, Just a simple Ghoul, there's many pretty landwalkers...like Xiu and Lizzy and...Lw!"
Her gaze carried over to Thanatos before she gave him another shy smile before nodding. "If you'd like? I just graduated to Second year so...So I know where most things are around here I suppose. Though...I am told I get lost often...." Very Often.

"It's nothing special... The gods were merely celebrities. They were once like you and me, but did something for them to be named as such," He trailed away into silence, looking away briefly at Biskoto to give her a few pats, "Knowing your fortune is a double edged sword - once you know it, if it's bad, would you try to prevent it? However, if you try to prevent it, would that lead to what was predicted instead?"
He paused, eyeing Amphi, trying to gauge her reaction now that he was actually being semi-serious, catching and holding her gaze where possible, "You do not need to do anything, but if you really want to know anything, I'll not hide it from you if I do see anything." Permission was very important, even to someone like him...
"Oh, don't be sssssilly!" Biskoto tilted her head, breaking the seriousness with another series of soft hisses, "I'm ssssure those ghoulssss are very pretty too, but you ought to have more confidence in yoursssself! When complimented, accept it with a thank you!"
Thanatos just started laughing, his seriousness gone all of a sudden as he stood up, holding out a hand for Amphi to take, testing to see if she would take it despite how she looked like she was about to go hide in a hole, just as long as she was away from him, "I would love a tour! I'm sure Biskoto would too~"

"Ah..Ah right." She didn't want to dwell on the fact that perhaps Poesidian was nothing more then a playboy Merman who happened to find their mother. Yeah....that sounded so much worst then it already was. She blinked at his question though before cocking her head.
"It was the god's decree what would happen to me before I was born Thanatos." To this now, she looked him fully in the eyes, a serious expression as she pursued her lips. "However, if my fate was to end badly, I like to think that I would fight to change it...and should it end up excatly like it was predicted...Then I would keep fighting to change it." Sighing she looked away from him now. the eye contact had been to much after awhile. "I am willing for you to read my fortune. But perhaps not here?" She looked around the classroom.
She smiled at Biskoto who broke the mood before laughing. "Why thank you then Biskoto. Thank you very much for the compliment." She blushed before tucking her hair to one side and braiding it. Another nervous habit she developed.
"I well...okay. Tour it is..." She looked at his outstretched hand...hesitantly before looking up at him, "I'm...Well..." Sighing in defeat she reached out to touch his hand, warmth and much bigger then her own. The last boil's hand that held her own had been Mac, and they at the time had been together..ish. She continued to stare at her intertwined hands before coming around the desk to stand by him and then look out the door. "Well...Let's see, where should we go? Hmmm." Any where that wasn't alone together......

"Actually," He grinned, taking her hand and leading her to walk around the table before urging Biskoto to follow, "Time is not linear... Time is like the fourth dimension, affected by each and every single one of your decisions. For example... If you hadn't offered to show me around, we would probably still be seated down and talking. However, the decision you made to show me around just changed that... And we would soon be touring the school. So nobody dictates your fate, but yourself."
He paused, chuckling as he gently put her hand on his arm and patted it twice, as if to say that he meant her no harm... Really he didn't! He just thought that she was fun, amusing and absolutely entertaining to tease. Biskoto, meanwhile, was busy returning to her place on his shoulder, body coiled around one arm as she slithered down his other arm to where Amphi was, giving the ghoul an affectionate nudge on her cheek.
"It's a little too heavy a topic, since we've just met~ Let's switch to something more lighthearted, shall we?" He paused, looking down at the ghoul on his arm, "How about the school gardens? Biskoto enjoys the outdoors, especially when it gets warmer."

Her eyes widened at his at his logic before pausing to think about it. Oh man, so what if she hadn't taken a break in the class room, or what if she decided something different to do all together. Would she still have met Thanatos?
Part of her believed that a fate didn't just simply meet others, but like he said, it was something she didn't want to think about on top of all the other things she thought about it. "I, okay, something more lighthearted." She turned to look up at him, only to realize he was consipicously close to her. Invasion of personal space if anything. What was with Reapers and getting so close?
Realizing that she was just...STARING at him now, she ducked her head to look at the her's...tucked in his arm before flushing. "I...Well..Okay." She pursued her lips before thinking, what did one talk about? "Do..Do you like music?" She fondly thought of her favorite thing in the world, with Dancing being the latter.
When the Snake nuzzled her cheek, she let out a soft giggle before nuzzling Biskoto back. "Alright, I know where the gardens are...I think. Shall we go...to them...for Biskoto?" Secretly though, she adored the Gardens. Such beautiful flowers and things landwalkers had. Unlike her home under the sea, while had colorful coral reefs, had nothing like the flowers. She started to step outside into the hallways, looking around. "I think...It's...this way." She pointed before looking up at Thanatos.

"Music?" He echoed, using his free hand to stroke his chin before shrugging, "I guess I can appreciate it..." That was as far as it went; like most things that had been piled on him - music, literature, the fine arts - he doesn't really like or dislike it, "Ah, as a mermaid you must like singing? I've heard tales of how mermaids drown men just by using their beautiful voices~"
A short pause, and he leaned towards her, his gaze remaining on the corridor they were were going to, but his body tilted in such a way that he could clearly be heard by her.
"If you promise not to drown me, perhaps I could play a little something and you could sing," He laughed, straightening up again, "Just name an instrument, any instrument as long as it's not something obscure, and I'll see what I can do."
Biskoto just moved over to place her head on Amphi's shoulder, resting near her ear as she whispered, "Oh, darling... He soundssss confident, but he'sss not really that great at mosssst of the inssstrumentsss that they made him learn." With that said, she hissed softly and moved round the back of the ghoul's neck to reach the other side of her shoulder, contented to rest there.
Amphi would soon realize how heavy Biskoto actually is.
"This way? Alright then!" He chuckled softly, leading the way with Amphi on his arm and using her directions.

"Ah yes Music!" She smiled up at him, enjoying the movements he made for contemplation of the idea. It was funny to watch him...when he wasn't watching you back. "Oh well..." Her face fell a little before thinking, maybe he didn't really like music? I mean not all had to like it. It was so natural to Amphi that without it, she wouldn't really be herself. "I do very much." Her frowned deepened more before nodding, "It is ancient tradition that our voices to be beautiful enough to lure even the most stubborn of men to their dooms in our seas." She stated it so bluntly, as if the act so natural.
In this world it was after all. "My sister's are much better then I though. I am still learning..." She cut off and stared at him before gulping, "I well...see...I...Um..." She flushed again, bringing her hand up to her cheek. She didn't do well with public performances after all. The only people to hear her sing after all was Sheridan and Sparrow, the latter by pure mistake as he happened upon her in her pools.
"I wouldn't...drown you...." She looked at Biskoto who climbed over before smiling at the whispered words in her ear. "Oh well, I suppose it's cute that he offered so isn't it?" Amphi whispered back to the large snake, "Tis a shame though...." She gave a small smile again to the snake before feeling the weight of her on her shoulder. It wasn't uncomfortable but...it was different.
Being caught up with her small talk with Biskoto, she looked up a little late and noticed that they were in another corridor. Even though she had said to go down this one, she could tell by looking at it that she might've gone the wrong way. "Um...I think...we should go the right...no wait...Left...No wait...Um...I think its left...No maybe I am wrong." She tapped her lip as she looked off at the corridors that started to break off from each other. jack dammit this school was confusing to navigate around.
