Personality :
Fickle : Anthia takes her time making decisions, checking things over twice and more so to the point of it being a nuisance to those around her. It stemmed from not wanting to make the wrong move around a person, and has combined with a habit of being non-committal. She doesn't know what people want, and doesn't want to deal with making the wrong choice. If one didn’t know Anthia, they would just think that she was concerned with quality. When rushed or pressured she gets easily agitated and will end up biting her nails, tapping her foot, picking at her shirt: Anthia fidgets. It’s not exactly an endearing or major quality, but it does happen. If she realizes a conversation is going downhill, you’ll catch her drumming her fingers against something.
Generous : More like Anthia doesn’t mind sharing what she has. Money was never an issue, so buying and giving away things/food/gifts is second nature. This is how she’s handled appeasing people to combat her social skills. If you eat out together, she offers to pay for lunch. If you ask for a donation, she’ll give what you need. The only issue is that she is naïve to the fact that people do not have the best of intentions. A person could be exploiting her for days before someone tells her that she is being taken advantage of.
Workaholic : Luckily the work she does is work she loves. But since the death of her child this quality has upped tenfold. She does overtime at her office, and when she’s not there she sketching or fixing building plans in her bed. Her job follows her everywhere, and she can never give it up. It serves as a distraction from the empty home and memories she’d rather not have.
Dedicated : Although it blends slightly with her being a workaholic, she was like this before her life was her job. She says what she means and means what she says. Anthia is a woman of her word and will do what is promised; even if she walks with hesitation the whole way. And just as well: Anthia doesn’t excel at much outside her profession. To make up for it she drives towards what she is good at with much gusto. She is a woman who wants to prove her worth- with herself being the hardest to please.

| || ||| The History ||| || | History : Born to immigrant parents, Anthia has a history of being flighty. She’s always been timid person who likes to taste test her options before making a choice, and commitment from her never came easy. Anthia is considered the ‘youngest’ from a pair of twins. And aside from similar looks, they’re very easy to tell apart. Socially awkward, Anthia has a hard time blending in with her ignorant, point blank way of speaking and lack of empathy; as opposed to her sister who is the epitome of a social butterfly. This is not to say Anthia is malicious. She just doesn’t understand the sensitivity of others and because of this trait has a tough time building connections.
She enjoyed shapes, buildings, layouts. Throughout high school she was designing things and went to college for architecture without hesitation. If there was one thing Anthia was confident in, it was her imagination for intricate structure and pristine layouts.
Being the way she was, Anthia has had her fair share of heartache over the years. But she met a man named Micah, who himself was in construction. The man was a boisterous, arrogant, possessive sort who wore his heart on his sleeve. The two were married right out of college. It was a testament to the saying, ‘opposites attract’ because absolutely NO one had imagined the pair hitting it off- much less being committed to each other. They moved to Micah’s home in New Tokyo, and Anthia had a steady job and relationship for the next two years. At the end of the second year she was pregnant. A little girl was to be expected; and while Anthia wasn’t confident in being a mother, it was the happiest she’d ever been. Every once in awhile the architect found herself whispering ‘it’s too good to be true’.
Then The Accident happened. While collaborating with her husband at a building landsite, a collapse of piping sent Anthia to the hospital. The wounds and stress resulted in a miscarriage. The baby was lost, they both blamed themselves, and the marriage was in shambles. Communication was hard and, feeling at a dead end, six months later the two were divorced.
Anthia was stunted. She didn’t grieve- she didn’t do much of anything after losing her family. For two whole weeks she locked herself up in her apartment. When she finally emerged Anthia immersed herself in a flurry of work and comissions. It was a year of drafting, building, creating; working constantly and consistently, never ending. Her reputation skyrocketed with her personal life obliterated.
Purpose for a pet: Astelle, Anthia's twin, had had enough of her sister's obsession with work and flippant nature towards people. Only Astelle seemed to notice that her sister was spiraling and intervened. But the resulting blind dates and pushy attitude wasn’t well received. Relationships weren’t working. Socializing in itself was a nuisance to Anthia, and she couldn’t be bothered. They needed to start slower.
Astelle appealed to Anthia: what about a pet?
In a nutshell, Anthia needs something else to devote herself to. She has very, very few friends and has forgotten how to care for another person. She is also stuck in denial of feeling abandonment from her previous relationship, and acts as if it never happened. Her lackluster attitude towards people needs to be combated by someone as demanding as her own job to fully draw her attention.
