Bell's role was small, which suited her just fine - she didn't have the time to lend to theatre like she used to. Being a senshi and taking care of college work made sure of that. But just the same, she was a seasoned veteran of theatre and knew the importance of being at every rehearsal no matter how big or small the role. It was especially important since there were no understudies! That made her a bit nervous. What if someone got sick or was in an accident? Who would take over for them? Last minute double-casting would no doubt have to be done, and it would be beneficial that whoever had to take over knew the blocking at the very least! Yeah, that was another thing. You couldn't just pay attention to what you're supposed to be doing. You had to know just as much about other people's lines and stuff for your own cues.

Bell felt like she had a lot she could offer to those in the cast who had perhaps never been in a production before. She had spoken to some about it and gave her contact information. She'd yet to receive any calls though. She'd make a bigger announcement later at this first rehearsal.

Perhaps it was a matter of pride - she didn't want to be in a production that didn't at least appear to have some half-decent acting! or maybe she missed theatre more than she thought. Whatever it was, Bell was there, seated and reading over the script as she waited for others to arrive. She'd dressed comfortably, but functionally. She doubted there would be any actual blocking done today though. The first rehearsal was usually a read-over of the script. Still, it payed to be comfortable.

Nervous was a good word for it. Acting wasn’t something he’d ever had gone in for before, no, that wasn’t quite true. He’d done ‘acting’ bit nothing like this kind of acting.
He hadn’t expected to be in every ACT either, wasn’t the focus on the play Arthur? He chewed his lip and thumbed through the pages again reading the lines and exhaling nervously. He could do this, he was confident of that, or was trying to be.

He was a little afraid to face the costume crew; the last thing he wanted was to find out he’d be playing merlin with a long purple robe and bright silver glittery moon’s and stars. Guarantee that that’d be when Ever decided he’d come to the play with a disposable camera.
He glanced up and gave a small wave to Bell as he tried to remember her name from the rehearsals, whom was she playing again?

Coordinating a play and the resulting ball was hard work. Kyndall was trying to juggle the needs of her actors, crew, and the pressures of the benefit ball she was organizing. She was spending time out in the threatre proper currently, lounging back in one of the seats in the middle of the house, scribbling furiously. She could be interrupted, of course, by anyone that wanted to talk to her but mostly she was letting the students work out their own parts for the first few days to give them some freedom to make it their own.

She glanced up at Zac, giving him a strange look. "Something wrong?"

He was a major role in the play, after all. Lots of lines to learn and emotion to convey. She watched Bell, too, and didn't worry much about her. They'd work on blocking soonish and costuming soon after that. She didn't worry about understudies, either, but might have if she knew most of her cast was involved in the war in some way. Thank God for small favors. She didn't need that stress, too.

He hadn't even needed to look at the script to know he was screwed, figuratively of course. He had so many parts and in every act, and he in no way had any previous experience in acting or theater in any form for that matter. He hadn't expected to get a part, though he should have given Gently and Kyndall being in charge, but he really hadn't expected to get the lead role.

Stepping into the auditorium, hoping to not be noticed, he slipped in closing the door behind him as gently as possible. The script was held tightly in one hand while the other hand was deep inside the pocket of his favorite coat. Around his neck, tightly wound, was a scarf which was removed by the hand which had up till now been in his coat pocket. Scarf loosened he continued down toward the stage, finding a chair to lay his scarf on and as he stood still he unbuttoned his coat and laid that over the back of the chair also.

His script, which had been set on the arm of a chair so he could unbutton his coat, was picked up. Slate eyes searching for and landing on Kyndall. "Afternoon." A simple greeting from the teen. "What's the plan for this gathering?" He wanted, and needed, to dive in to this and get the hang of the lines and acting in general. He needed to do better in order to feel better about this role. His nerves needed to be settled and the only way to do that was to gain confidence through gaining skill.

“I’ve… just never done this before, I was surprised to get the roll.” He admitted and let out a breath of air he didn’t know he’d been holding. He blinked up at Kyndall with the casual air of knowing the young man before he returned to the script.

“Butterflies I guess, just tell me the costume isn’t glittery.” He said with a wan smile that said he very much hoped it wasn’t. “Hey Arthur.” He teased the young man who just entered. “Maybe we should review together some.”

Sunlight leaked into the auditorium as the backdoor was opened, a lanky, heavily freckled girl entering from the rear of the building instead of the backstage entrance. She held a black motorcycle helmet in one hand, running the other through touseled, short blonde hair, and strode to the front of the room. Tossing an a friendly grin toward anyone that happend to look her way, Kess dumped her helmet in a front row theatre seat, before stripping off her leather jacket and giving it a similar dismissal.

A finger tugged the collar of a maroon, wool sweater, and she cupped a hand to her mouth, shouting back toward the direction she'd come from. "Daph! You look fine, will you hurry it up?"

Turning back toward the stage, she shoved hands into tan jeans, dark eyes finding Zac almost immediately. "Hey, buddy," She called, "Why practice with the King, when you could throw down with his Lance?" The smile she offered Alexandre let him know she was only joking, and Kess planted her hands on the stage to push herself up, rather than using the stairs.

"There you are," her tone was amused as she reached down to give the belated Daphne a hand up. "Princess here had to fix her helmet hair." She rolled her eyes toward Zac. Maybe Daphne had needed to fix her lip gloss and a few other things, as well. Who knew? Either way, the bluenette had immediately popped into the restroom after Kess had parked the Judge in the lot.

"We miss anything exciting?" It looked like people were still showing up, which was good, because Kess and Daphne had been running a bit later than intended, a direct result of friends also being 'carpool' buddies.

Disgruntled and more than a little self-conscious, Daphne tugged at the waist of her violently lemon-yellow jeans and rolled her eyes. "Puhlease, you were the one who had to start singing Blinded by the Light at me. I had to go have a minor breakdown about ruining the play when everyone went extraordinarily blind at how fantastic I look." The fact that her jeans were violently yellow had nothing on the screamingly electric blue tee-shirt she was wearing. The only thing saving the whole outfit were the soft grey ankle boots and white zip-up sweater over the whole thing.

Broke it up a bit, anyway. It didn't hide the fact that Daphne Proudmoore was there, and she wasn't about to tout about in black no matter what role she'd been given. The blame for being late was placed squarely on the blonde biker's shoulders, tongue stuck out as Kess turned her back before she made her own commentary.

"Forget picking up your Lance, why not have a walk on the wild side?" Unfortunately for her the bold words were directed at Zac, a blush that flooded her cheeks was a bit of awkwardness for Alexandre. They were, supposedly, going to be lovers at some point in this play. So awkward. Working her way over towards the stranger she smiled. "So hey, I'm Daphne. I figure we'll be sorta...involved during this whole process so we should get to know each other. I work with Zac and I hang out with Kess and Tony a lot, but everyone else is basically a stranger to me."

For a moment the little flirtations between Kess and Daphne made him glad that Daphne hadn’t been cast in the roll she auditioned for. As easy as he suspected it would have been for Kess and her ‘Car Pool’ companion to act out the flirtations in costume he suspected they didn’t have enough make up in the theater to cover the redness it would have brought to his face.

“Don’t worry Daphne, I know Alexandre here from… a passing acquaintance. “He said with a curious pause as he chose the words. He moved on quickly from the light inflection though and waved his script. I suspect I’ll be practicing with you too.” He paused a moment before adding an arched eyebrow along with the word “Buddy”.

He glanced over to Daphne again though, a clear enjoyment of her company as well on a sort of softer more comfortable less competitive level. “Did you leave the candy store standing?” He offered with a soft tease, though he was blushing at her flirtation. He tugged absently at the braid in his bangs. If he played poker it would have been a terrible tell.

Going through the front of the theater might have been an easier feat, but Roxanne Selte felt it was a whole lot cooler to go through the backstage entrance given her position on the crew. Sure, it was just costumes - well probably others felt it was just costumes - but to her it was a high honor and position in the company and it just went to her head.

The blonde slid onto the stage, all the more easily with the traction-less slouch boots she was wearing, completing her ensemble of a pale blue sweater dress that was pretty much hidden by her long charcoal grey peacoat and rainbow colored scarf. Her curls - hairstyle of the day - under her slouch hat bounced as she spun around when she got to the center, a big smile on her face, "The name on every~body's lips is gonna be ~ Roxy ~" she sang out, not realizing just how many people were there.

Upon seeing the gathered in the theater proper though, she froze. And was very thankful she didn't go into full dance moves with the lyrics or the gigantic black binder, filled with notes and fabric swatches, would have gone crashing to the wooden floor below her feet. No, her arms wrapped around it tigher as she managed a small wave, "uh... Hey!"

Kyn watched as people began to trickle in and horse around on stage. It was fine with her for now. As Alex came up to her she smiled, waving. She wasn't going to be too friendly or affectionate with him lest someone think she'd cast him for favoritism. She hadn't. Still, she couldn't stop the smile he brought to her by being there. She knew he was nervous. Hell, she expected most of them to be. This was a serious show and they were students, after all.

"Why not get on stage Alex?" she asked, motioning for him to join his fellow actors.

She stood up, script in hand, and frowned at Act 1, Scene 1. Tony wouldn't be joining them for rehearsals, she didn't think. Maybe he would if schedule allowed. She hadn't asked and kind of twisted his arm to do it for her, anyway. She didn't think being old made him feel very good about being picked for the part but that was just one of many reasons she'd offer if he ever complained about it. He was usually a very good sport.

"Bell, Kess, Daphne, and Zac, welcome! It seems we have out main cast here for the moment with Guinevere excepting. I'm sure she'll be here soon."

It seemed that some of them knew each other and that would work well for chemistry on stage but she didn't envy Alex with his involvement with two ladies in the play and managing a challenging role. Still, she shrugged and decided it was best to start with it and see what happened. There were still more people to come but it seemed Kess was enjoying herself at Daphne and Zac's expense but no one seemed to mind.

Then Roxy entered and Kyndall raised an eyebrow of thanks. Getting measurements this early would be a blessing. She noted the refrain on her lips and smiled to herself.

"Chicago is for another time, perhaps, Roxy. I was thinking of a musical for the next production but was stuck between Phantom or Repo! The Genetic Opera. Though I suppose Chicago might be fun, too."

Though the dancing choreography might be a bit too involved for her to want to deal with. Maybe...

"Phantom!" another voice said from the doors near the back of the theater. "Oh, Phantom's my absolute favorite! You should do that next, hands down!"

Laney Sutton stood in the doorway to the auditorium, trying to get a feel for the situation. Her white hair was pulled back into a practical ponytail, and she had her hands full with a few overflowing bags' worth of stuff she'd brought for their first official rehearsal.

Obviously a little too dead-set on taking her responsibilities seriously, she'd shown up already dressed in crew style: black clothes from the neck down. Along with black leggings and Converse shoes, she had on a black Jekyll & Hyde hoodie and a black scrunchie in her hair. Most embarrassingly, she had on a black t-shirt which she wore with apparently unironic pride; emblazoned in large, white Impact-font letters were the words:

MAD
PROPZ,
YO

Laney crossed down the aisle toward the orchestra pit, where people seemed to be gathering. "I'm Laney, hi! Until we get a prop list, I brought some rehearsal props with me for people to work with, just so you guys can get used to holding something or wearing something while you move around. Just balsa wood and stuff for now, but feel free to take anything you want and use it." She set her bags down on the floor, a few wrapping paper rolls and Nerf swords poking out the tops here and there.

"Oh! And I brought brownies. I hope no one has an allergy." Laney pulled a tin foil-covered tray out of one of the bags and set it on one of the auditorium chairs, so it would be safely out of the way. She sat down in one of the front-row seats, a steno pad and Hello Kitty pen in her lap, and waited for further guidance.
