Q: I feel like I identify with a lot of these things, can't I have more than two elements?
A: The Circle is based on a two-axis theory that creates a rotating understanding of energies that phase from one into the other, so a person never has more than two elements.

Q: Why can't I choose elements that aren't adjacent, like Fire and Radiance?
A: Though elements do share certain properties, the underlying definitions of them in terms of things like physics makes this impossible from everything we have seen. Feeling like this has a very particular explanation though.

Q: Why don't you have elements like Wood or Metal or Holy?
A: In the case of 'Holy', this is not a concept of physical force or state. Metal and Wood are also not forces, and the properties of woods and metals differ greatly as well.

Q: How do I tell what element I, or someone else, is? A lot of the descriptions are vague.
A: This is because elementa manifest as differences in how people do things more often than what they do, so you have to pay close attention to that.

Q: Is this like some sort of personality test? Is there a test to take somewhere?
A: The Guild does not currently offer anything like that because only long term observation can really answer these things clearly. However, knowing someone's element will help one understand many parts of their personality.

Q: What's the point of all this anyway? What exactly is this 'research' trying to achieve?
A: The guild seeks to improve people's understanding of others and tolerance for diversity. It can be considered, at the very least, a relatively accurate Personality Classification/Assessment system.

Q: I don't think I like being the element that seems to describe me best! Can't I change it?
A: As far as we know this is not possible. If you dislike the weaknesses/flaws associated with your element, these can be brought under control like any bad habit or personality flaw.

Q: I figured out my parent's elements but they don't seem to connect to mine at all! What's up with that?
A: There is no correlation between your parents and you, elementally. Not your siblings either.

Q: What about astrological signs and stuff like that, the elements they are connected to?
A: The guild research does not 'believe in' astrology, since having everyone born at a particular time have the same sort of personality would have been far more obvious by now in human history. There is no connection.

Q: Is element chosen as you grow up? Or when you feel like it? Or what?
A: So far there is no way to tell at exactly what age the elemental form is 'decided'. It may be before birth even. We do know that it is nature, not nurture, with external influences only suppressing the true element over time, if anything.
