  Once again, Zarita found herself wandering the land. Ever since her incident with Majesty and the baskets, the mare hadn't been the same. It was one thing to give up one child, but to lose both. It had killed the mare. She hadn't even seen the foals pop. Perhaps it was better that way. Not knowing what they were like. What they were named, or even being a part of their lives. Perhaps Majesty would let her see the basket that he had taken with him. But was that really best? Not likely. What kind of soquili would want anything to do with a mare who had given up one of her own children? It wasn't something that even she herself had learned to live with yet.
Pushing away her thoughts, the mare surveyed her surroundings. It seemed that she had ended up in a little clearing. Not too far off she could see what appeared to be a forest with a mountain beyond that. Where was she going? What did she think she was doing? The mare didn't know, she didn't have any of the answers. She never did. Perhaps she should take it one day at a time. One step at a time. Dwelling on the past had never done her any good. It had only caused her pain and continued to do so. Shaking her head, the mare looked around for something to distract her. Something or someone to take her pain away.

The angeni hadn't seen a mare in days, and was quickly becoming bored with the world. Infact, what was the world without pretty females. He loved to tease them, woe them with pretty flowers, and read stories of romance to them. Make them fall hopelessly in love with him, have them dream deep romantic thoughts, gaze longfully into his ice blue eyes...
And then leave them.
There was no room in Marcello's heart for love. He couldn't feel it, didn't see a use for it. Love, what good was it. What fun was it to only be with one mare, when the world was filled with so many! But, ah mares. They wanted this...love, so in order for both sides to win he would give them what they wanted. Temporarily.
Speaking of love, the angeni spotted a female wandering just ahead. Light brown, black braided mane and tail. A beautiful combination. The male grinned, stood as tall as he could and walked steadily toward her.
" Well, hello m'lady..." He swept low in a deep bow to her. "Might I ask if you are lost....because heaven is truly a far distance from here..." Marcello reached around to grab the pink rose at his side and presented to her.

Almost as if by magic, it seemed that Zarita had found her distraction. At least momentarily anyway. Playfully, the mare feigned innocence, looking about as if the stallion might be talking to someone else. Seeing no other mares, she looked back to him. "Surely you can't mean me." She replied. The stallion's line may have been cheesy, but Zarita found him to be flattering all the same. Not to mention the stallion was quite handsome. It had been a long time since she had seen anyone as gorgeous as he was. Yes, Majesty had been handsome, but in a different way. Majesty. Just the one word pained her. No. She would not think about him now. She would not ruin any chance of being happy. Even if it was only momentarily so. But did she deserve to be happy? Did she truly deserve it? The mare didn't believe that she did. Not after what she had done.
Pushing away the thoughts that threatened to drown her in sorrow, Zarita focused all of her attention onto the stallion before her. "Surely you must say that to all of the mares." She told him lightly, not allowing him to see the pain that lay just under the surface.
