It was early afternoon when Adrienne bounded down the stairs from the living quarters at the Pantheon, a small square box in her hands. Rio's follower Nashwa had made candy, but had only given it to her after she'd promised to share it, not keep it for herself! And so, as tempting as it was to open it right up and sneak a bite - or two or three - she set off to share the goodies with someone she knew for sure would appreciate them.
Heading towards the woods, assuming that was the most likely place, she started scenting for Glyph. The sooner she found him, the sooner they could eat these things!

Glyph was just returning to the Pantheon when he caught sight of Adi sniffing around and waved, striding towards her through the woods with supernatural ease, "Adi! How are you?" In his hands were herbs and mushrooms he'd collected for use in that evening's meal, fragrant and fresh, "Did you need something?" He eyed the box in her hands curiously.

"Oh, I was just going to look for you!" How good that it was so easy to find him! She wagged her tail, sniffing now at what he held in his hands. Mushrooms looked pretty tasty too, although candy was immediately more appealing.
"I'm good!" she answered. "I brought candy - do you want some?"

Forest's ears immediately perked and he turned away from the hanging moss, ducking under it to draw closer, his interested clearly piqued, "Candy? You brought it all the way out here for me?" He seemed touched as he grinned, drawing Adi into a friendly embrace before stepping back to answer her properly, "I would love some! What kind is it?"

"Of course! I can't eat it all by myself, or I'd be sick. I think I could eat half and be safe, though." Adi giggled as she returned the hug. Once they'd finish, she opened up the box to show him - the contents, of course, looked perfectly innocuous, if liberally coated in powdered sugar. "Turkish delight! I don't know what flavor..."

"Hahaha!" Glyph laughed suddenly, the sound merry and entertained, "Half will be safe? What about saving some for later? Sweet gifts should be savored!"
But then she opened the box and revealed some most intriguing sweets. Curiosity caught him then and he bent to look at the offerings, "Turkish delights? I've never had such things... Here, let's try them~" Popping one into his mouth, he uttered an involuntary sound of pleasure and grinned around the mouthful, "Oh! Oransh! Dis ish sho gud!"
He gestured for her to take one then selected a second for himself and while he licked the powdered sugar from the cube, Glyph padded towards a fallen log and plopped down on a ledge, crossing one leg over the other as he delighted in the sweet, ears pulled back in a look of great happiness, "Good name for these!"

"See?" Adi laughed at his delighted reaction and perched next to him, stealing a few of the sugary treats for herself. "They're too good to save!" Besides, if they saved them, they might have to share them with someone else, and they'd end up with less than half! Sharing was all well and good...unless it was something really, really delicious that you didn't have much of.
Nashwa had been careful in sizing the batch, while assuming they would at least most of it - too much and they'd drop right away, but just enough, and they would become tired in a more natural-seeming way.

He bobbed a foot as he enjoyed his treat, pausing to yawn and scratch an ear after the second morsel was consumed. He leaned against Adi as one might a confidant and thanked her, quite pleased by her thoughtful offering. Sweets made things so much better!
Selecting another few cubes, Glyph savored them and tilted his head, "You know... maybe you could take sweets like this to Elik? I doubt he's had such things before. Nobody can say no to sweets, especially when they're presented by you!"
He stretched, back arcing greatly as his muscles shiverred and he flicked his ears, glancing in the direction of the Pantheon. The Aoide didn't really need the mushrooms right away... he could sit here and enjoy the treats with Adi. With a grin and a suppressed yawn, he took another and settled into the log, finding a comfortable spot to lounge on.
"Have you spoken to him yet?"

"I could! I could make some, I bet..." She'd just have to get Nashwa to teach her how to make this kind, since all she knew was how to make the hard candy Illisia had taught her. But maybe he'd like that instead? Chosing presents was harder when they were for someone you were actively trying to impress.
When Glyph yawned, she did too, and laughed a little. Contagious!
"A little, not as much as I'd like, and not about...um, anything." You know, anything like that. Adi frowned, thinking. So far, she hadn't really done anything to indicate that she liked him beyond her usual friendliness and trying to get him to teach her.

He chuckled, "Maybe you should start with asking him about himself? Laugh with him, enjoy his company..." Glyph pursed his lips thoughtfully as he sucked on a cube, quite pleased by the sweetness, "Your Father's probably full of better advice though. When I realized I liked Illisia, I wanted to impress her... but I had not idea how!"
His gaze settled on Adi, nostalgic and sad at the same time as he thought of Illisia, "Maybe go ask Xun for help too? He should know a great deal about to impress a Night Elf. Elik's a druid, so Cenarius and Elune are both sacred to him... Oh!" An idea struck him, "Maybe if you bring him 'Cenarius' Blessing' he might be interested? I'm not sure."
Another yawn and he shook his head, wondering if he'd overworked himself. The last time he'd felt as drowsy as this was his weeks-long stint of helping with Teldrassil.

"Rio said the same thing, mostly. I asked his aoidei, too, but I don't think I'm gonna do what they said, yet." If the slight color that came to Adi's cheeks was any indication, that was probably a good thing.
"Cenarius' Blessing? What's that?" She knew a little about Cenarius and Elune, at least, but this 'Cenarius' Blessing' was new to her, whatever it was.
"You need a nap," she observed, before yawning again herself. She was pretty tired, too, actually...

"Oh, I don't know what it'd be. I'd have to figure something appropriate out, I think," Glyph responded thoughtful, yawning again as he flicked his ears, "The night elves call me Cenarius in the homeland, I discovered this while visiting them with Illisia."
A lopsided, sleepy grin played across his lips at that. It pleased him something fierce to have discovered a living Name of his. "You think so? I kind of agree... I'm rather tired." Looking over at the woods, he frowned, "I didn't think I'd worked too hard... You look tired too.... There's nothing here that will bother us and I'm sure Natasha won't mind a dinner without mushrooms. You should come over for dinner and eat with us, too..."
Another yawn as he trailed off, his mouth moved again as he 'spoke' without sound and finally did drop off, as if bringing attention to the fact he was tired suddenly inspired sleep to take over. He slumped, leaning against Adi as his breathing evened out into that of someone in deep slumber.

Once Adi and Glyph had succumb to the drugged candy, the floox who'd been bid to quietly shadow the werewolf zipped off to fetch Love. No sooner had Dogwood scuttled up the tree and through the window, his return the 'signal' that the pair was asleep, than was her back out the window to lead Rio to the sleeping pair.
When Rio looked down at Forest and his servant, his sense of relief and slight excitement were tempered by a nagging guilt that he had used his daughter in this way. He could have told her, he knew, and she would have helped him willingly, but it was better this way. If Glyph ever found out, her status with him would not be at risk.
Swallowing the feeling, he summoned his bow and drew out the arrow he had carved for the Silvim Illustirre a week before. After another look around to make certain no one was watching, he notched his arrow and took aim - not that it was difficult, this close - and shot the Councillor in the heart.
His task done, Rio let the elaborate bow disappear from his hand. Before turning to go, he bent and kissed Adrienne on the forehead.
I'm sorry, my sweet.
