The boy speaks: Can we talk?
No. Not this. Not now. Why would you ask me that? Of all questions? No. We will never talk. Nothing good ever comes from the talk. Three little words… So simple yet they inspire so much dread. No. Never ask me that again. I don’t want to hear it. It’s the worst phrase in the English Language, And you expected a yes? No. Not doing it. You can’t make me. It won’t help any. Just make things awkward. No. I know you want to speak, But it’s not worth it. Let’s just run from our problems Like everyone else. No. I don’t want to face facts. I don’t want to acknowledge my flaws. Just leave me alone… Just let this go… No.
Sure, what do you want to talk about?

I went on a challenge for a week where the whole point was to say exactly what we were thinking, and hold nothing back. I found myself saying things like this, and realized that this is EXACTLY what happens in our heads. We avoid saying it out loud in fear of what people may think, but at the same time don't want to know what they want to say. Wonderful look into the things an average human mind works for the sake of society.
