High on the branches of the vibrant trees, a colorful arrange of birds tweeted their morning songs to the rising sun; it was sickening. Guinevere glared up at the creatures creating the cacophony of noise, they were unnecessary animals that were only placed upon this planet to annoy those who inhabited it; patiently she waited, until one landed hear her and with a quick flick of her horn, pierced the heart of the little bird. A loud shrill emanated from the insignificant being as it sucked in its last dying breaths; a twisted grin appeared on the mare’s countenance, the forest had become quiet. With another flick of her horn she sent the corpse flying out into the woods, her horn dripping with the blood of the innocent creature; upon a mossy patch of a tree she removed the evidence of the murder from her horn, an evil glean in her eye. Today was going to be a good day.

Araucaria was fresh and free from home. He's been on his own for days, but this was the first time in his life that he was away from his parents--away from everyone. He was free to be his own person--to have his own life. It felt strange to have to answer to no one. Odd not to be coddled and told what to do or not to do. The air already felt lighter, less oppressed. Breathing deeply, he took in the scent of the forest. It was stupid, kind of odd that everything seemed brighter and better. But you can't help what you feel right? He'd been wandering for awhile, so now it was time to search for some water.

It sickened her how lovely the world was, it was if it mocked her; she was not ugly far from it, but her heart was as black as tar and hatred seemed to emanate from her pores. Anything that appeared happy and cheerful reminded her off all that she could have had, but lost because she was the child of a mistress, not the queen; Eve’s anger built as she imagined the lush life she could have lived if her nauseating sweet sister was never born. As she seethed in her hatred, the uni-kirin was still aware of the activities occurring around her and took notice of a soquili slowly making his way to the river that rushed before her. What do we have here? A twisted grin appeared for a quick second before she hid it behind a mask of innocence, which she usually wore to placate her victims to have them believe she was someone she was not, which would usually have them play right into her traps, just like flies to honey. A sense of perverse excitement filled the mare for it was time to have some fun.

Araucaria found the water and waded his feet in, washing the dust in the swift flowing water. It felt soothing after these long days of traveling. He'd learned quickly that water wasn't just necessary for drinking but for overall happiness. Water seemed to soothe the troubled mind just as much as the aching throat. The sound of it was calming, reassuring. But why was that? Was it because there was a promise of not being thirsty?
His thoughts were interrupted when he noticed another presence. Turning, he noticed a beautiful mare. Her colouring was light with patterns on it. He was mesmerized by the intricate spades and long sweeping wrap, more like a cape on her back. Her long hair gave the impression of being well-cared for, and the jewels that bedecked her gave him the impression that she was royalty. He'd never met royalty, but he'd of course heard of them before.
"Hello," he began gently. What was she doing in a place like this? But then what was he doing in a place like this? It was at least a pleasant place. It was just as good as any place really. "Is this your territory? I didn't mean to intrude...I can leave if you like. I just needed a bit of water." He'd never had much experience outside of his family in the forest. He'd met other forest dwellers from time to time, but his talking and meeting skills weren't the best yet.

He was a fine specimen of a stallion, although she had seen better and would most likely not procreate with the male, for she did not see any noticeable traits that would result in the desired children she craved. Quickly she pushed the thought of him as a father for her evil heirs right out of her mind, he appeared to nice, too easy to manipulate, not the preferred qualities that could be passed down to her offspring, no he was only good for fun. She smiled sweetly back at the stallion, setting the trap, luring him in, making him believe that there was nothing to fear from her, oh how wrong he will be, “Hello, you are not intruding, I had been hoping for someone to come by, it seems, that I am lost and have not the slightest idea of where I am.” She pretended to be near tears; it was an easy feat, for Eve had years of perfecting her acting skills, she could now do a perfect imitation of her sister, which she planned on using to her benefit in the near future.
Eve looked up at the stallion with her brown pleading eyes, “Will you help me?”

Araucaria was unsure of how to react when she started crying. He'd not been around much crying before, and it was...rather confusing. "There, there..." He said, much in the way his mother had done to him as a foal. "I'm sure I can help or well, at least try to."
The truth was he really didn't know much about this area, but he could at least try. It was then he realized that he didn't even know her name. "Why don't you calm down and drink some water? Is there a certain place you're looking to go? I can try to help you. Just don't cry." He paused for a moment, being sucked in wholly by her. "I'm Araucaria. What's your name?"

Stallions were so easy to control, just present them a blubbering mare and they will feel like they were the one in power, oh how wrong they were. Guinevere hiccuped and sniffled, “T-thank y-you for helping me, I have been standing here for hours unsure about which way to go. I know I should follow the river, but only one way is the right direction.” More fake tears fell as her fake persona contemplated the concept of becoming more lost. Fake Eve tried to blink away the tears, but they would not stop, “I’m trying,” she sniffled, “but they just don’t seem to want to stop.” It was almost too easy, “Araucaria,” her emotion filled voice having difficulty pronouncing his name properly, “I’m Guinevere.” A second thought occurred to her and she inwardly gave a wicked smile, “Queen Guinevere.”

Araucaria tried to soothe her further. "It's okay, just breathe." He made a soft shushing sound. She was really quite scared. Poor dear, he hoped he could calm her. He'd never seen a girl this upset.
"Well, it's not that big of a deal if you go the wrong way though is it?" He nuzzled her, feeling an odd blush. He hadn't ever done that before, "I'll go with you for a ways. Where exactly do you need to go?"

Hook, line, and sinker, the human phrase seemed like a perfect representation of their current situation, she had Araucaria on a hook and she was reeling him in fast, so to speak. Fake Eve listened to the stallion’s advice and took in a deep breath, attempting to calm her made up nerves. Rage filled her as he nuzzled her, how dare he touch her! But before the rage could show on her body, she hid it, not yet wanting to show her true colors. “I didn’t want to become more lost, so that is why I did not pick a direction.” Fake Eve let her countenance light up at his words, feigning relief, “Really? You will do that for me? I need to find the ocean, and then I will know where to go from there.”

Araucaria brightened up as she smiled, practically glowed at him. He felt more masculine and helpful than ever, she felt protected by him. That was a giddy feeling. "Of course, what kind of stallion would I be if I just left you here?"
He looked up and down at the water before pointing to the left with his head. "The water runs to the ocean, that's what I was always taught. So that should be the way to go." He smiled again before nuzzling her. He was young and it was thrilling to feel needed.
"So what do you want to go to the ocean for?" He mused it gently, as he directed her that way. A child wind blew over him, and felt an odd sensation. He shook it off, it was nothing. There was nothing wrong, the skies were clear and she was kind. Everything was alright.

Bile rose in her throat, being nice to the stallion was starting to make her sick, but she knew she must persevere if she wished to fool her sister’s future dolt of a mate. Her plan was complex, and she knew that she had what it takes too see it through the end and this pathetic stallion standing before her will be practice for one of the largest performances she will have in her life.
Guinevere blinked her large brown eyes at the stallion, they were now clear of tears and felt a little puffy; Eve knew that at that moment she looked like a weak mare who needed a stallion to take control. What fun games we are about to have, her warped inner voice whispered, causing a ghost of a smile to appear on her countenance, in which the mare hid with a dip of her head.
“Oh how smart you are! I would have never known that about this river,” she turned her gaze to the cold flowing water, of course she knew that rivers flowed south and that the ocean she wished to get to would be south, any one with half a brain could have figured it out. Fake Eve turned her attention back to the stallion before her, “I am meeting one of my knights… I got separated from him and once I get to the ocean, I will know how to find him…. Well hopefully I will know.” Her brown eyes begin to well up and Fake Eve pretended to dread the idea of being alone and lost near the dangerous sea.

Araucaria watched her eyes glisten with fear and anxiety. He felt giddy--a heady, hot emotion of being needed. He'd never really been needed before. It was kind of tough to...understand and accept, it wasn't something he was use to at all.
The water in the river flowed down over the rocks, distracting him for a moment before he turned back to her to listen attentively. She was talking about her knights, of hoping she'd know where they were. "I won't leave you till you find him, I won't leave you alone until you're ready," he said it kindly. "Okay?"
He paused, steering he conversation away slightly, "So you have knights. I've never heard of anyone who had...knights before."

Plans were being set into motion, in just a few weeks all her hard work and labor will come to fruition; her sisters lifemating to the sniveling King Arthur was at the end of the moons cycle and Eve planned to be there; if this dolt of a stallion believed her to be this pathetic mare, then Arthur, who does not have enough brain cells to even fill the thick head of his, would believe that Eve (although she was darker than her sister) was the true Gwenevere.
Fake Eve plastered a grateful smile upon her countenance, “Thank you so much kind sir for not abandoning me as I go on this fruitless quest it seems to find one of my Knights.” She looked down at the ground, avoiding the jagged rocks that were placed there to trip those who rarely look at their hooves, “Yes, I had many a few years ago,” she turned her head and a small tear came to her eye, “But they were all killed, slain by an unforeseen enemy. Now I only have one knight, he is the one by the ocean; well hopefully he will be there.” Fake Eve appeared to fret about the unknown future, while Wicked Eve smiled as she contemplated the meet up with her knight, hoping that he would commit the skill she found so truly fascinating.

Araucaria stumbled over the rocks as he kept up with her. He wasn't paying attention to his feet at all. "What enemy? Who would hate you so?" Sure, she was pretty--but the whole idea and concept of knights and Kings and Queens was just...well it was really cool and unique. It was just like being trapped in a fairytale--which he hadn't thought was possible until now.
He wondered how far away this knight was, how things would happen--would they find him? Was he still alive? And why was she alone out here anyways? What kind of knight was that guy anyways?

She turned to look at him, her face showing an array of emotion, most of them sad, “My twin, she wants me dead because I am the rightful heir to the crown and she sees me as a threat to that standing.” Eve gives a shudder, “She will stop at nothing to take what she wants, she is a terrible person.” A sob escapes from Eve’s maw as she contemplated the evil things her sister supposedly did to her, “When I was younger, she kidnapped me and kept me hostage, while she took my place at the place. I felt so alone; I do not want that to happen to me again. Will you protect me?” Her brown eyes pleading with the stallion whose coat had the same coloration as a forest fire. The lies were coming so easily, it was beneficial that she knew so much about the torment her sister suffered, since she was the one that caused it all.
