Lattice was taking a well-deserved nap and Needle? Well, Needle was antsy. Unfortunately, she knew why she was antsy, too. Today the new Teen Scream would hit the shelves! She wanted to read it so badly, and yet she had to (re)learn restraint. In a few short years she would be back in the Manor, back under that rock she had lived in all her life and, to make it worse, there would be no more Teen Scream for her. Ever.
So she tried the restraint approach. Sitting in prayer, mixing inks, holding her ink brush out in front of the paper until the will to draw struck her; things she would be expected to do once more upon graduation; things she used to do, but was losing the drive for.
She couldn't sit still to do any of these things...and there was nothing else to do to distract her. Petro was off doing Petro-like things, Mot would be too hard to find in a crowd, and outside of that she didn't really have many friends.
That was okay, because she could make new ones! New ones, over New Magazines!
Well, there went that restraint!
The Engraver left her room, her dorm, and soon her campus, following the strategically hidden ink marks that would lead her to the maul and, hopefully, the latest quizzes on what boils boil your blood. Exciting stuff!
She wasn't so lost in her own world to not notice a very nice set of matching sleeve tattoos, though. Certainly wasn't reserved enough to not glide her way over and waste no time in getting right down to business.
"Pardon me, but are those real?" The ink-stained finger was pointing somewhere ambiguous, though.

Ah the maul! Michi loved to go shopping, it was the one thing in life that she could agree with her mother on. New things were supposed to be had, and Michi already had a shopping bag in hand and a drink in the other. She thrived in a setting like the maul. "Pardon me, but are those real?"Michi's pale brows rose and she continued to sip at her drink. Was she pointing at her? The other ghoul's hand was pointing in an odd direction, though Michi was pretty sure that she was being talked at. "Yeah, they're completely real. Took awhile to get done, but I think it was totally worth it!" She grinned at the ghoul, one eyebrow still lifted slightly. Whatever was going on here, she was fine with. Compliments were exactly the sorts of things the smoke demon loved.

Ee!
"They are stunning!" Needle completely bypassed all form of social courtesy as she slid nice and close up to the ghoul, focused on the beautiful tattoos along her arm. Even worse as she reached out, pressing her cold, ink stained hands against the demon's arms, tracing some of the design with long, dark nails.
"Did you do them yourself, or did you have them done to you? By whom? I suppose for something this expansive you had many sessions, how long is a 'while'?" The Engraver chattered, at least being good enough to keep her needle-riddled forearms to herself. Well, that was her intent; she was a little too focused on determining the origin of these beautiful markings than she was making sure her additions didn't tear flesh.
Too excited, too excited! Even forgot all of her courtesies! Bad Needle, bad.

Oh now she had to remember the details of how she had gotten these tats. She did remember how livid her mother had been when Michi had shown her the finished product. The red skinned ghoul did keep an eye on those large, wicked looking needles poking from the other ghoul's fore arms and tried to answer the best she could.
"One of my ex-boilfriends was a tattoo artist as a hobby. I got them while we were dating, and it took about a month... if I remember right. It hurt, so I didn't do it all too closely together," typically Michi was a big baby about pain, but this... this had been something to seriously piss her mother off so she had stuck through it all. And needless to say, Michi had broken up with the dude when the job was done. They hadn't gotten along over the tattooing sessions.
"My name is Michi, what's yours?"
