Questionable Shapeshifter

Silently, the Fox-Bunny named Clowrey followed the river upstream. With a small hop in her step, her blue eyes carefully scanned the waters for the young salmon she'd been stalking for some time now. What a strong fish the salmon could be, even when so small it fought against the current and kept storming ahead. It made her curious--Where was the salmon going if it was this willful? And so she'd been following it that early morning.
But suddenly, her long ears propped upwards at a sound, and her nose gave a little bunny twitch at an unfamiliar smell. She glanced in the direction her sensitive senses caught the presence from, and then back to the fish still swimming...There was only one place for it to go, right? It couldn't hurt to take a detour...Clowrey moved away from the stream to peek at who she'd found...

 Hoshi was picking berries. He is making something for the fact that he is bored. So berries and fish are things he is after for right now. He walks into the berry bushes picking them. Hearing movement he stops and turns looking about. Something is closing in on him and he isn't looking forward to someone closing his way. After all his wounds from long ago when he fell off a cliff still stiff and make it hard for him to move fast to get away from someone who would try to hurt him.

With little difficultly, Clowrey popped her head out of the bushes on the opposite side of Hoshi, the presence she had been looking for instead of following the salmon.
Ahh! So it was another Carou! He was a fox like her mother, she noted. Clowrey noted his unusual eyes as well--or was it lack thereof? It was hard to tell...She tilted her head at him, her long bunny ears flopping over as well as she studied the older male for a bit. He seemed tense...Well, she did just appear out of nowhere. And so Clowrey wriggled through the bushes fully and sat her bottom down, curling her fluffy tail around her feet. She greeted Hoshi with a smile. The lackadaisical gaze she always had was calm, and hopefully this would assure the other that she was no threat to him.

Hoshi looks at the bunny for a moment. His eyes aren't the way they are from a lack of. More so because before he came to life some teenagers whited out his eyes. So when he got off of the Carousel and came to life his eyes became whited out as well. "Hello." Thinking that this little bunny reminds him of a fox named Jatai. He was friends with her for awhile and then the whole cliff thing and after that he hasn't seen her. He stretches a bit still watching the bunny. His jewelry shines when light hits it. Pawing at the pile of berries in front of him. "What brings you here?"

Her long, silky tail wagged a bit as Hoshi greeted her in return and her smile brightened as well. She was glad he wasn't so tense anymore and so she relaxed as well. At his query, Clowrey nudged her head at the river and her eyes trailed up the water's path. As usual the fox-bunny refused to speak, and chose to let actions speak for her. Whether or not Hoshi understood her was...to be left seen. Either way, she would not speak unless absolutely needed...
She looked at the pile of berries at Hoshi's feet before going to sniff at the bushes he'd picked them from. She snatched a few from the branches, showing her sharp fangs for a brief moment. 'Oh! These are good!' she thought to herself; she would have to remember these bushes' location for later. 'Would mother and my siblings like some? Maybe I'll bring back one branch...' Clowrey ducked her head in farther, biting at the base of one fruitful branch...and tugged with all her might so it'd snap off! The young adult fell onto her back when it did, but she had got what she wanted. She rolled back up-right and grinned at Hoshi, showing off her 'prize' with a little nudge towards the fruity end of her branch. She started to walk away, but stopped to look at him...
She wanted him to follow.

Hoshi blinks a few times. He eats his berries and then follows her. Something telling him that this might not be wise but it does seem like she wants him to follow. So without thinking about it he follows. "You don't like to talk now do you?" He wonders a bit as he noticed that she hasn't said a word to him this whole time and now she has him following her somewhere. But to where. Did he even want to think about where they were going? Maybe this is just a new found friend who is to shy to talk. He thought. Everything is going to be ok. His jewelry still catching the light shimmering from time to time as he stays behind her. He can't move as fast as he use to before he fell from a cliff. But that is because he is still healing from it all and his broken ribs will never fully heal but they are getting there.

Once Hoshi made the motion to follow after her, Clowrey began to walk again. Of course, she didn't reply to his question...Merely giving him a small grin while the branch was clutched in her teeth. She bounded easily on ahead, despite her luggage. Certainly was an agile young thing...And after a while, Clow noticed Hoshi wasn't moving as fast...The fox-bunny blinked curiously and moved back to his side. Was he limping...?
