This is a story that was derived from the full moon series. It is a story of what happened in the orphanage. the only difference is, in this story, mitsuki reacts differently at the news of eichi's death.

Eichi walked into the orphanage, and smiled. He knew she'd be here soon... he went over to the little seat that Mitsuki always sat at. His smile was warm as he remembered every moment he spent with her at this table. "Mitsuki..." he whispered... "I've got to tell you..." his warm smile swiftly turned into a frown... "I love you... but..." A tear fell down his face as he looked upon the chair...

Mitsuki walked into the room. She smiled and was cheery like she always was. She came in and jumped ontop of Echi... "Hi!" she said with a high pitch scream and she gave him a warm hug.
Her smiled grew as she awaited a reply from Echi, the one whom she didn't know that she had loved... Yet...

Eichi's frown swiftly turned into a smile... "Hi!" he embraced Mitsuki back. His smile grew wider as he let her go and looked into her eyes. "how was your night?" he asked as he reached for her hand. "I love seeing your smile in the morning, it makes the rest of the day worthwhile" as he said this his eyes started to grow moist.

"My night was wonderful!" She said with a smile as big as the ocean. "I looked at the moon all night long... It's beautiful..." She smiled once again, "How was your night? Did anything intresting happen?" Mitsuki's was filled with questions, but she felt as if something wasn't right... She hadn't ever seen that look on Echi's face before.
"Is something wrong..." She whispered as she looked into his eyes...

Eiechi's smile grew even wider, "You were doing the same thing as I was!! It was a full moon last night, I wanted to look at it's beauty for a while..." his words started to grow quiet, and his smile drooped. "Mitsuki... Everytime you look into the moon... Remember me... Please remember me..." a tear slowly made it's way down his cheek. "I... Mitsuki..." He grabbed her hand, "I... can't tell you now... but I will tell you soon..." He closed his eyes tightly and grabbed at her, embracing her tightly.

Mitsuki was worried, she felt as if something was tormenting Echi inside, and she had no clue what to do. "How could I ever forget you anyhow? You've always been here for me... Ever since the day I came to the orphanage, ever since that day... You've always been here for me..." She said as a tear trickled down her own cheek, she hadn't a clue what to do. "Why can't you tell me now?" She whispered just quiet enough to be heard... What now? she thought, What now?

Eichi let go of Mitsuki, and looked into her eyes. Then, wiping the tears from her cheeks, he said "Mitsuki... I... I don't know if I can tell you... It's... too hard..." His eyes looked down at the ground and some tears dropped from his eyes to the ground. "Mitsuki... I..." He grabbed both of her hands, "I Love You Mitsuki... I have loved you since the day I met you... I can't stop thinking of you..." he lifted her hands up to his lips, and he kissed them... softly...

"I like you too Echi," she said with a smile as wide as ever on her face, she giggled a little, and gave him a hug. Mitsuki never had any clue of what Echi would say next, she would have never expected it. Her smile was still as wide as ever and nothing could wipe it off.

Eichi looked at Mitsuki and faintly smiled and looked down at the young girl in his arms. a tear slowly slid down his face... "Mitsuki" he put his chin on her head, and noticed other kids were walking in the room. He lets her go and wiped his eyes and cheeks. "I'll always feel this way for you... remember that..." Eichi looked down at the flor and laughed... "Mitsuki... I will not always be here," He looked up, into her eyes, "I'm moving to america."

"What? No..." Mistuki's eyes teared up.
"No! You can't go!" She grabbed onto him as tears ran down her eyes...
"You can't do this to me... I'm going to be alone..." then she ran off.

Eichi took a step toward her, then stopped, thinking it'd be appropriate to just let her go. "It will be easier for me to do this... I love you Mitsuki." as he turned, the Matron came up to him, and asked him to come to her office to meet his future foster parents. As he walked with her, looked in the direction Mitsuki ran away to. "I love you Mitsuki," he thought as he walked into her office.

Mitsuki cried her eyes out. She had no clue what to do. She was losing her best and one of her only friends, and was just so confused. She paced around in circles... What now? She thought to herself. Water works were still flying down her cheeks as she screamed in her pillow. "I don't know if I can do this..."

In the office of the Matron... Eichi was sitting in the leather chair in front of the Matron's desk. As Eichi was waiting, the matron leaned foward, "Eichi... the couple that were here to adopt you... well... they got into a car crash... and... now they're not... able to... adopt you... Eichi... they died..." as the matron said this, she started to cry, Eichi with her. Then a though ran through his head, "that means I don't have to leave Mitsuki!"
After 30 minutes of recuperation with the Matron (he was acting sad after he thought of that), he went over to the chair Mitsuki usually sat in... she was not there. He sat down in the chair and waited.
