Marceline walked steadily through the brush near the human lands, still trying to figure out where it was exactly she was and where she was planning on going. Her green eyes scanned the horizon for a moment before she lowered her head to some lilies that were sprouting out from underneath a bush.
As she nibbled at the blossom she let her thoughts drift to the homeland she had accidentally left behind. Well, sort of accidentally. She had made the choice to keep going and the choice to stay here. So, one could say it really wasn't an accident that she left home. With a quick shake of her head she let that thought go for now. The flower was too good to be tainted with her thoughts. As she took her last bite, the lily being nothing more then a memory now she wondered why it had been growing in such an unusual spot. Had it been planted there by someone? Or had it been smart enough to grow there out of sight to have a better chance at life? Well, almost life. She winced slightly. Maybe next time she should refrain from eating flowers that were growing out from under bushes.
Raising her head, her brows furrowed slightly at what she had just realized. It was to late to do anything about it now. Sadly. But, it wasn't entirely her fault. It had happened to come into view during a time of great distress over her aching belly. After all, these lands were knew and she knew nothing of what things could be eaten and what things could not. This flower was familiar, thus she knew it was good to eat. She needed to eat to live. Thus the decision was a just one. With a nod Marceline ended the inner battle with herself.

Liebe absolutely could not take it anymore. Her best friend, Rosalind, and Rosalind's father, Oliver, had been arguing all morning about anything and everything under the sun, while Liebe's mother, Journey, had tried, in vain, to calm them. The shouting, the crying, the accusations... Liebe absolutely could not take another second of it.
So she ran.
She ran far, faster than she ever imagined she could go, her mane and tail blowing back in the breeze. She spread her wings and soared every few steps, propelling herself forward at a blistering speed, her heart pounding in her chest like a jackhammer. It's not that she didn't love her large, unconventional family, but she thought if she had to hear Oliver trying to explain to his daughter how wrong it was to be a harlot one more time, she would scream.
"She's not even a harlot," Liebe spat to herself, slowing her pace to a heavy, plodding walk. She growled despite herself; Rosalind was her best friend, and even if Oliver was her dad, he had no right to say anything to her.
Liebe sighed, pulling herself out of her reverie just in time to notice she was about twenty yards away from another mare. Taking it as an opportunity to forget all about the troubles back at home and have some bloody fun for a change, she smiled, forcing herself to be happy, and trotted over.
"Hi there!" she said cheerfully, trotting right up to the mare and admiring the flowers in her mane. "That must've taken forever to do!"

To say the least, Marceline had been absorbed in her own thoughts (despite dismissing them almost as soon as they appeared) thus when the mare came out of nowhere her eyes widened to an unusual size for a split second. When they had went back down to a normal size Marceline smiled, turning herself to face the mare a bit more. "Hello. And yes, it was a long and tedious process." She replied, bending her head so she could get a better look at her own flowers.
"But I suppose it was well worth it." Marceline added, lifting her head back up. It was then that she decided to check the mare over. With one eyebrow just ever so slightly raised her green eyes scanned her coat. She was a pure wind, or at least appeared to be. Standing there Marceline felt herself become a bit envious of the mare. At least she had all her proper parts for what she was. While she on the other hoof lacked a horn, which meant she was practically a lame unicorn. With a huff she shook herself of this negativity.
"You're wings are quite stunning." She said, pointing for a moment with her nose. Was that unusual for someone to say? Hm. Maybe it would have been best to start off the conversation with something else. Sighing slightly she let her tail fall to the ground, to the side of her back left hoof. "My name is Marceline." She stated with a smile, puffing up her chest ever so slightly.

"They are so pretty!" Liebe exclaimed, forgetting her manners and nudging at a flower with her nose. They smelled like spring and rain, a scent she had long forgotten and savored.
She stepped back after a moment, head held high, wings puffed out and a smile playing across her lips. "Nice to meet you, Marceline! I'm AF Goldenes Herz, but you can call me Liebe!" She looked back at her wings for a moment, feeling guilty for having them when this mare did not.
"I love my wings," she said softly, a hint of pride spoiling her guilt. Then again, she was so incredibly proud of the wings she inherited from her mother (as her mother had told her that her father was wingless), she didn't mind showing them off every once in a while. "They make me feel free."

Marceline was slightly surprised by the mare touching her flowers in her mane with her nose but said nothing as it hadn't really bothered her. "Thank you." She said, not realizing until now that they might be seen as pretty.
Blinking for a moment, Marceline looked at her wings. "That... Is a long name." She said, returning her gaze to the mare's. "Liebe. That, is much better." She smiled, not intending for what she said to be mean or otherwise unfriendly.
"Free." She repeated. That was something she could relate with. Not that wings made her feel free as she lacked them. But ever since coming to this new land she certainly felt free. Unlike before. Then again a pang of sadness hit her heart for a moment before being absorbed in the wall she had been taught to build around emotions. "Well, your wings are pretty interesting. Then again, your whole coat is rather interesting." She admitted. "I bet you can blend in with a variety of scenery." Marceline added, not sure if what she said was true or not. It really depended on the mare and what type of environment she put herself in. "What brings you here?" Marceline asked.
