Maria's tail sway back and forth slowly as she waits for a master to come in through the door. The shop had been empty lately and the little neko was starting to feel lonely without someone to talk to. She missed being able to curl up in her old master's lap in front of the fire. This shop was cold and dirty, not to mention the guards always hit on her and the ones that didn't were too stupid to hold a conversation with. Her ears twitch slightly and as she looks around the shop once more with her deep-green eyes. 'I hope a nice master comes soon.' With that thought in her mind the girl curls up in a ball on the floor of her cage and closes her eyes. Her tail sways once more then drapes itself over her arm as Maria falls asleep.

Carter walked into the market, having never been to this place before he wasa bit nervous but had a excited look on his face regardless, he was certain things would change today he walked arounf the market a bit looking over all the slaves trying to find the right one. After what felt like hours of searching the look of excitement had dissapeared from his face completely, he leaned up against a nearby cage he sighed dejectedly "i'm never going to find anyone..." Carter mumbled to himself as he looked into the cage he was leaning on, seeing the sleeping Neko girl quickly brought the smile back to his face, he knelt down in front of the cage and reached in nudging the girls shoulder trying to wake her up.

Maria had been dreaming about being outside and chasing a brightly colored butterfly when she feels someone poking her shoulder. The girl curls up in a ball tighter and gives a small meow before opening her eyes and blinking once to clear the blurriness. She sees someone's hand and tilts her head to the side a little before looking at the person kneeling in front of her cage. Her tail sways with curiosity as she studies him for a moment, trying to determine if the man looked friendly or not. She then decides he seemed nice enough and crawls a little closer to the front of her cage. "Hello."

"Hello" Carter responded "sorry for waking you but i couldn't leave before I talked to you" he said chuckling softly "but i'm forgetting my manners, my name is Carter it's a pleasure to meet you Miss?"

Maria smiles at him softly and her tail sways more as her curiosity grows. "It's okay." She says with a small yawn before looking at him again. "Nice to meet you Carter. My names Maria." She smiles again. This man seemed nice, maybe he'd take her home with him too! The small neko stretches slightly then gives a small sneeze. she blushes softly and looks at the master again. "Bless me..." She says quietly. Her master had told her that manners were important when shows first impressions on new people.

As if reading her mind Carters next question seemed way easier to ask then he thought "So Maria, would you like to come home with me? You don't have to if you don't want to of course." he said rather nonchalantly he hoped she would say yes but as he said he wasn't going to force if she didn't want to go.

Maria's ears perk up as she looks at the male. The small female meows then nods her head. "I would love too!" Her tail sways quickly and with happiness. She was getting another master to live with! Maria crawls to the front of the cage and smiles at her new master.

"Great!" Carter exclaimed a look of relief on his face "I was worried you were gonna say no, well how about we get you ot of that cage then" he said waving over a worker telling him to unlock the cage "you won't be needing the leash right?" he said holding up the leash the worker had given him.

Maria lets off a gentle purr as she smiles at her new master once more. When the door to the cage was opened it takes the girl a few seconds before she climbs out of the small cage. Maria stretches her body and tail out slightly as she looks at him then at the leash. The neko shakes her head no. "I'm a good kitty. I won't run away." She looks up at him and her tail sways gently.

"Good, I didn't think you would need one, well lets get out of here then" Carter said walking towards the exit, handing one of the workers some money to pay for Maria. He walked out of the market and up to car parked close by "I hope you don't mind a car ride, I don't live close by so we can't just walk." He said holding the pasenger side door opne for her.

Maria nods her head then follows after her new master. Her tail sways with happiness. The neko looks at the car then over at Carter. "I don't mind." She smiles at him again. She looks at the car for a moment then climbs into the passengers seat. "Thank you." She purrs. Maria also makes sure that her tail is in the car so it doesn't get shut in the door.

"No need to thank me" Carter said closing the passenger side door, he quickly walked around the car and got into the drivers side started the car and drove off eager to get home. ((okay i'll quick make his house in the homes forum so once you see it feel free to post ^^))
