Emolgas Explore!

[Nanashi Kage Enjeru]

Tenka quietly popped his pokeball and snuck away from Shina. Maybe she wasn't so bad, he'd had some really awesome battles with her earlier, but he suspected she wouldn't want him sneaking around at night. Normally he would be asleep, but after being healed so many times that day, he was buzzing with energy. He slipped out of the female sleeping area, and made his way to the waiting room. Wow, it sure looked different at night.

Maya tossed and turned restlessly on the pillow she had stolen from Flint's bed and dragged to floor. She had fought many battles that day, but still she was not tired. With an exasperated sigh she crawled out of her makeshift nest and made her way out of the room, maybe a walk would help make her sleepy. She scurried down the hall and out into the waiting room, it was completely dark but Maya's eyes adjusted quickly. She scanned the room and jumped a bit when she saw Tenka, she hadn't expected to see anyone else down here. She shook herself once to brush off the shock then approached him " fancy seeing you down here"

"Oh, Maya! Um, hi there. Couldn't sleep?" Tenka said, only a little bashful.

Maya nodded " yes, ive got too much energy still. What about you?" she asked tilting her head, she assumed his was the same story, but it was polite to ask anyway.  

[Nanashi Kage Enjeru]

"Yeah, too many battles. Wanna explore?" Tenka asked.

Maya thought for a moment then nodded, it was better than walking aimlessly by herself " sure, why not. I've got nothing better to do" she said with a smile and walked up closer and bumped him with her head " you lead"  

[Nanashi Kage Enjeru]

Tenka's fur fluffed. "Um, ah, okay." Looking around, he saw a table with a shiny metal cylinder on top, and a waste basket that he thought he smelled food from. "Let's look over here," he said, leading the way.

The wastebasket didn't seem to have anything other than wrappers that smelled like there had been food in them once. He jumped up on the table. He didn't know what the cylinder was, but there was a basket full of what looked like food, wrapped in something clear that blocked the food-smell. ((Packaged muffins, trail mix, etc. I'm thinking the pokemon center would have an area with coffee and muffins for trainers waiting for their pokemon to be healed.)) What was this?

Maya followed him and sniffed the wrapped food " it dosent smell like food" she commented extending her paw to touch it. She wrinkled her nose when all she felt was plastic " dosent feel like food either"

"Yeah, but it sort of looks like food, inside. And the basket down there had these clear things, but they were torn up and smelled like they had been touching food. Maybe this stuff on the outside is like an egg shell? Maybe we can open some?" Tenka suggested.

Maya nodded, that would make sense. Human's were always doing weird things like that. She reached into the basket and pulled out a bag of trail mix and dragged it to her. She examined it carefully before beginning to chew on one corner. she ripped a peice off the top and spat it out " yuck!" she exclaimed making a face, but she had succeeded in makeing a hole in the bag through witch the scent of food was beginning to emerge " You were right!" she exclaimed again, this time delighted. She widened the hole and pushed it over, causing the contents to spill over the table.

Tenka sniffed. "It smells like nuts and fruit and salt." Then the bag spilled it's contents. Tentatively, Tenka grabbed a piece of fruit and tried it. "Mmm, it's kind of wierd, salty, and dry like it was out in the sun too long, but good."

Maya sniffed at the spilled food and grabbed a nut nibbling on it experimentally then her eyes brightened "this is good! human's may be weird, but they sure make good food!"  

[Nanashi Kage Enjeru]

"Yeah!" Tenka stuffed a few nuts and bits of food into his cheek pouches, and went for another clear wrapped food. He munched the food in his cheek pouches as he searched the basket for something else that looked good, before pulling out another item. This one was larger, and many tan things spotted with blue. ((Blueberry mini-muffins.)) Eagerly, he tore it open, spitting the plastic out with a wrinkled nose. He tore the bag further open with his paws, sending the food inside all over the table. He sniffed one of the food lumps, then took a bite. "Hey, this is soft and sweet! It's really good!"

Maya mimicked him, stuffing some of the trail mix into her own cheek pouches before scurrying over to sniff at what Tenka had discovered. She took a tentative bite then smiled with delight, it tasted wonderful! She quickly devoured one of the mini muffins then rummaged in the basket for something else to investigate, she tore at it with her paws, and suddenly it opened sending a plume of brown dust into her face. She sneezed and stumbled back, tripping over a muffin and landing on her back. she laid there just looking stunned for a moment before picking herself back up and rubbing her paws over her face trying to get the dust off.

Tenka sniffed at the dust before sneezing violently. "Ick, not all of this stuff is so great. How do they even eat this?"
