Pacing along a tree line was a very confused fox. Very confused indeed. More so than usual. The fox was okay with not understanding a lot of things. Some might call him innocent. A couple, like one female, might call him mental. But honestly, Roark had never grown up around other foxes, so how was he to know how things worked? Especially about something a couple foxes had been hinting at....
The other day, Roark met two foxes, half siblings by the name Aero and Aruna. Not only were they half-siblings, but they were related to Break as well. At the thought of the other male, Roark's tail twitched franticly and his pacing increased. That was what their entire conversation had been about, even though it was a short one. Break. And it was what certain words said in the conversation that confused Roark.

Break could not remember the last time he visited his parents, and so when he did earlier that day he had been tackled by both parents, leaving rather rough marks on his person. He didn't want to visit home again for awhile, mostly he didn't want to see his father, Jack. Break loved his father, yet he disliked seeing him. He disliked knowing that he was almost the copy of his father in image, he disliked knowing that he wasn't entirely unique. Sometimes, he felt horrid for those thoughts, other times he merely felt annoyed.
Then there was another person he hadn't visited in awhile, darling Roark. Ah. Roark~ With a flick of his tail and an amused, fanged smile he quickened his pace. Today he was on the mission to see Roark again~

You know what Roark needed? A walk. That was it. A walk. Let the air and sounds calm him down. Why should he get agitated over something he didn't understand? Maybe in time he'll figure it out, like Aero said he might.
With that thought in mind, Roark started walking away from the tree line. If he wanted to get his head clear, he needed clear, open areas and sky. Humming to himself, Roark didn't bother paying attention to where he was going or what was around him. If it fell silent, maybe then he'd pay attention. And if a fox was coming up on him....oh well.

Padding ahead, he grinned ear to ear, fangs glittering slightly. Oh my my my, was that his darling Roark? Well, it was that sensual beast. He knew that scent anywhere, following it with his twitching nose. Flicking annoying hair from his eyes, the male leapt from the hill he was on, spotting his toy right away.
Toy? Oh my. Cruel. Roark was not a toy. Perhaps he was his toy, but not only one. Break liked Roark, perhaps to much. Well, Roark deserved his affection, Break believed. The cutie didn't seem to get much from anyone else, and his reactions to Break's flirtation amused him highly~
"Roark baby~" The flirty male chirped as he padded to meet the man he would one day claim.

Roark jumped as the voice that had been haunting his thoughts reached his ears. "B-Break!" It had to be a coincidence that they were here together. Right? Like, Break's siblings hadn't sent him here? That wouldn't be nice...would it? Roark's face flushed a little. "H-Hi." He took a deep breath before he made a fool of himself. "F-Fancy seeing you h-here. H-How have you been?"

He smiled at the males stutters, brushing up against Roark with a grin. "Bored, mostly. But then I saw you~" He grinned seductively, nipping Roark's ear gently before once more circling him.
"How have you been? No one trying to steal you away, right?" A cheeky wink followed his words, lips twitching into a large grin, showing off fangs once more. "I may have to bite them if they have."

Roark twitched at the nipping. "I-I've been a-alright." Roark hesitated a bit. Should he tell Break who had visited him? What harm could it do right? After all, surely Break's siblings would have told him. "T-The only foxes who had visited me were a couple of your siblings." There. It was said. "I d-doubt they were wanting to steal me." He tilted his head slightly. "Bite them? W-Why?"

Siblings? His flirty eyes widened, head tilting to the side questioningly. "Visited? Why?" Another tilt of the head, to the other side. He didn't realize his siblings knew Roark, actually.
"Did you meet them? Weird. Naoki is a bit shy and Aruna is always around the cradle robber." Frowning gently, the male pouted. "Well, I can't bite them, I guess."

Now Roark was confused, again. "Aruna was there, but there was a guy...Aero. He said he was your half-brother." He looked at the ground and moved his paw around it lightly. "T-They were wanting to see what I was like s-since I was always around you." Did Aero lie? And what was a cradle-robber? Break and his family sure did use some strange words.

Blinking, he laughed suddenly. "I can imagine Aero frightened you." He shook his head, grinning at the man before him. "Though, Fakir lately has been making sure he's controlled, usually."
With a swift flick of his tail, he brushed against Roark, cheekily licking his ear. "Actually, Aero did mention he saw you once." A throaty laugh escaped him. That was when Aero had mentioned some unmentionable things he could do to cute little Roark~ Oh my.

That time Roark jumped and he pawed at his ear. "I-Is that something all foxes do? n** and lick ears?" Of course, Aruna and Aero hadn't done that to Roark; but then again, Roark didn't know them as long as he had Break.
Roark blinked. "F-Frightened me? N-not really. Confused me actually..." Okay, so Break knew that Aero met Roark. "W-What did he say about it?"

"To their special someones, sure~ Then there's the creeps." He didn't give the male a hint of which he was, instead tilting his head and then laughing loudly.
"That is not something to share with you right now. Perhaps later. Oh yes, it'd be fun then." With a wink, Break finally rested, sitting on his haunches as he tilted his head. "Are you saying no one has ever, ever flirted with you?"

Special someone? Creeps? A creep Roark knew about. And a special someone....Which was Break? Dieties his head was hurting. He closed his eyes a moment and put a paw to his head. Only when the pain resided a little did Roark look at Break again. "N-never. I never got a-around others much." Total truth, sad as it may be. Besides Break, Aero and Aruna Roark knew....no one. And the latter two he hardly knew at all.
He studied Break a moment. What was it Aero had mentioned to the male? What was it that was fun? Did Break really want to know? Was there a side to Aero that Break hadn't seen in the brief bit. After all, Break had asked if Aero had frightened Roark...
"Is flirting what you are doing w-with me?"

He stared at Roark, dumb founded. Wait. .... He didn't know? Horror struck his face, paws reaching his cheeks. "Oh god." He turned his head to the side, about to cry out in horror. "I.... I failed Aero. He doesn't even.... Oh god! And I thought I was smooth!"
He was going to cry! This was horrible! This must be a joke! He was.... flawless! Roark must be kidding, right?! Right! .....
RIGHT?!

Concerned, Roark leaned in close to Break. "B-Break?" A step closer. "I-Is everything okay?" What did he do? Failed Aero? "D-Did I say something wrong?" It had to have been. Break only reacted when he asked about the flirting.
Roark sat down, ears drooping. "O-Oh. Y-You were. Sorry." He curled his tail around him. "I-I guesss that's what Aero meant when he said I was like him before he met Fakir; and why Aruna called me mental."
