Here you will find a list of terms that are rather important to the roleplay. For those of you who are not familiar with Final Fantasy 8, this little section is you best friend, trust me.

Galbadia- This is a Country located in the western content and is the center for Deling City, which is it's capital. It is run by a president currently and is known as a military power. Recently the country has been invading other cities and tightening it's control for some unknown reason. Galbadia Garden and Winhill Garden are both located in Galbadia, though Winhill Garden had little affiliation with Galbadia in any way. A missile base is also located in this country in the desert. Shops district of Deling And The Gateway inside of Deling. Winhill
Esthar- This term refers to both the eastern continent as well as the capital city that is located there. Esthar is a technological power and is one of the two main governments. What they lack in military might they make up for in technological might. No one has seen the city in years, it having mysteriously disappeared years ago. Esthar. Like Galbadia, Esthar is run by a president.
Centra- There was once a large civilization located on this central area of the world, but after a Lunar Cry the area was left in destruction.
Balamb - This is a small island in the north that has a small town named after it as well as the Balamb Garden. The small city of Balamb is a port city. This area has remained neutral in the fighting and the unrest with Galbadia.
Fisherman's Horizon- This city is located across the great bridge that connects the Galbadia continent to the Esthar continent. It is a city of scraps were the people living there have made their homes and lives out of the scrap metals of other places.They are experts with repair and can repair just about anything. SeeD- These are the official mercenaries of Garden. They have formal clothing to wear in their respective Gardens and on meetings, but in general they wear their own chosen clothing for comfort as they go to battle. The uniforms between all Gardens are the same aside from the color's of the females bow. Balamb is yellow, Galbadia is red, Trabia is purple, and Winhill is sky blue. There is another SeeD group known as the White SeeD who dress in all white and are the Esthar Garden SeeD, however that Garden no longer exists and the members go about by boat, always moving.
Garden- Garden is the term for the mercenary bases that hold SeeD trainees and members. They are large building of special design so old that almost no one knows what they can do. Balamb Garden Example. These buildings are all built on ancient Centra structures. The Gardens are as follows: Balamb, Galbadia, Trabia, and Winhill.
Lunar Cry- This is the rare occurrence when the monsters that are located on the moon gather together at one point before falling to the planet. When this happens, the area they land on becomes extremely hostile and massive destruction follows that can completely rewrite an area's ecosystem.
Guardian Force (GF)- Not much is known about these aside from the fact that they are creatures that humans can form bonds with, called junctioning, that inceases the human's potential. They can also be summoned to fight for short spans of time before releasing a unique attack that can easily change the flow of battle. They are of varying forms and sizes as well as skills and elements. Some can be found inside of monsters, others are beasts themselves that will let no one tame them unless the person is strong enough.
Limit Break- This is the only known way that a human could naturally use magic without being a sorcerer of some kind. These are when the potential of a person shines it brightest.This usually occurs when the persons life is on the line and they are near death. There are also special circumstances were a special magic can be cast on the person to give them this potential by a spell called Aura. Another circumstance would be seeing a close friend killed or severely injured, pulling forth power from the person that they could not usually have.
Magic- Magic is not a thing that general people can just use, in fact without using technology or a GF people cannot use magic at all. To use magic without either of these means that the individual is a sorcerer. Magic is obtained by 'drawing' it out of monsters. Due to this nature, Winhill Garden has taken to storing the magics it collects for students, though most notably they only give out weak magics. Higher ranked ones require a large sum of money as they are much rarer. Spells And a video of the skills: Video
