She could tell by the way he was walking that he was incredibly tired... she wasn't sure why, all she knew was that she had been put in her ball for a while, and when she was let out, he looked as if he had not slept, and ran a marathon, the smell of sweat on him was indication of that hypothesis as well, though, she had sever doubts that Asch was running marathons.
He was letting her out of her ball more and more, though never off base, she behaved when she was out, knowing she would be pulled back in if she did cross a line, or try anything... no, she had to bide her time until she had a better opportunity. She could do nothing on the rocket base.
She wasn't sure were he was heading right now either, though she was slowly starting to recognize the different halls, and where they lead. As she followed him they passed several large doors, some of the spaced quite wide apart from one another. At the ones that were open, Vahy'n would glance in as they passed, and find a human inside, a Rocket, with one of more of their pokemon... these must be the training aria.
While getting the glimpses inside, the Vaporeon took notice, once of twice, of the way the pokemon and human worked together... Had she not known better, she would say that they were just a normal trainer team... not a young criminal.
Her jewelry rattled lightly as she shook her head, trotting to keep up with Asch, though staying mostly behind him. But when something caught her eye in one of the rooms, the Vaporeon suddenly stopped. ".. Va." Vahy'n took a few steps back, to look back into the room, and once again she fell very still, though her stare was locked, and intense.

Despite his fatigue, Asch tried his best to hide it. His only times to allow his Poekmon out and allow them any attention, was between the many missions that he had to do to make up for the lack of personnel. The death of his partner and the severe injuries to several in his department from the last raid, had caused a lot of work to fall on his shoulders. Not to mention, thoughts of Aila and Natalia weighed heavily on his mind. As well as the cutting words from Izaya during his partner's memorial. He wasn't as sharp and focused as usual due to these factors.
Thus when Vahy'n paused and then backpedaled to gaze into a room, it took several moments before he realized the Vaporeon was no longer following him. Asch soon stopped and turned around to see the water type standing at the doors of the training room he'd just passed. Asch had simply been passing through and didn't have any intention to stop or train. After a moment of silent wondering, he soon walked over to Vahy'n and gazed into the room himself.
What he saw inside made the situation clear immediately.

Glancing over at Asch when he doubled back to see what she was looking back, her fins drooped a little when he saw what had caught her attention.
Agent Faleen was in the room, a few of her dark types out, and doing a mock battle under Faleen's watch, calling out orders for the pokemon while Zoroark and Absol battled again Umbreon and Banette. She was completely unaware of the audience at the door.
Vahy'n felt horrible watching this... Seeing a side of Faleen she had never seen before. How could she be a Rocket! how could she! Vahy'n shut her eyes tight for a second, trying to hold herself back, but it just grew to be too much and she slipped forward into the training room. "VAPOR!" She barked surprisingly loud, stepping half way between the door and Faleen.
The unexpected noise reached Faleen, and the agent turned to find herself staring at the Vaporeon she grew up with. "..." her lips barely turned down in a frown before she glanced up to the doorway where Asch was. "Agent Asch... welcome back."

Asch wasn't entirely surprised at Vahy'n's reaction as she ran into the room. He didn't bother to stop here, especially since she stopped short of Faleen. Considering how she reacted to Faleen before, this was to be expected.
"Sorry for the interruption," he told her, glancing at the Vaporeon as Asch walked in to stand beside her. He then looked towards Faleen's Pokemon that seemed to be battling each other. They looked to be decently strong and well trained. Asch had a liking for dark Pokemon as well, so he could certainly appreciate Faleen's. He especially liked that shiny Zoroark she had.
"We can leave if she's bothering you," he then said, looking back to Vahy'n once again.

Faleen shook her head to Asch, holding a hand up to gently dismiss his concerns "Its alright, I am not bothered." She wasn't bothered by him anyway.
Taking a moment to turn away from Asch, "Take a moment guys." she told her pokemon, who slowed, and stopped the battle with curious looks over to the door.
This time Faleen turned fully to face Asch, pointedly ignoring the Vaporeon in favor of her team mate. "looks as if you've been working quite a bit," she noticed, able to see how tired he looked.
Vahy'n's fins drooped, she couldn't believe she was being ignored... by Faleen, not a single word, not an explanation, its like the women didn't even know her, when the Vaporeon had been there all her life!

Asch certainly noticed the fact that Faleen was pointedly ignoring the Vaporeon at his side. If that's how she wanted it to be, then he would respect that. Thus, he didn't question it in the least. He watched as she turned to her Pokemon, giving them permission to stop and then turned back to him.
"I don't have a choice. Too many in my department were injured in the last raid. I have to pick up the slack. But it's nothing I can't handle."
His gaze then tilted back towards Faleen's Pokemon. "You're training them hard." It was certainly admirable that she was so dedicated to her Pokemon. He then had to wonder why she was giving Vahy'n the cold shoulder. Perhaps because she belonged to her sister. But it was none of his concern.

Faleen nodded when he explained his situation. "I certainly do, its good of you to keep things going. I'm certain your department team mates will be back to work soon." He just needed to keep going till then, she had no doubt that he could do it.
Vahy'n was staring at the pokemon that Faleen had been training, taking note on their deminor, and they're type, she had never seen any of them before... It made her think of the lie Faleen was feeling Rosie and the rest of the family about where she really was.
When her pokemon were brought up, Faleen glanced back at them for a second. "Ah, yeah, they've been improving very nicely, so I've had to start upping their training. They seem to enjoy it too."
Vahy'n couldn't take this, she couldn't just stand there and be ignored by Faleen. "VAPOR!" The Veporeon suddenly barked, loud enough to echo through the large room "POREON!"
There was a moment, where Faleen just stood there, eyes still on Asch, but not exactly looking at him. After a few seconds of silence from everyone, Faleen glanced down her nose at the water type. "... Hello Vahy'n." She said, almost drying, as if noticing the pokemon for the first time. The encounter was dripping with bitter history.

"I have no choice," he said with little emotion. After all, it was what he'd been ordered to do. So he probably shouldn't be given that much credit for it. He didn't exactly enjoy picking up the slack, in fact he hated it. But someone had to do it.
The sudden barking from Vahy'n drew Asch's attention down towards the Vaporeon yet again. He frowned, not really approving of her outburst but he knew why she did. He remained silent, even as Faleen finally acknowledged the Pokemon.
This was a bit of an awkward situation, although it didn't really seem to bother Asch. If Faleen was bothered by Vahyn's presence, then he would take care of the situation. This was between them, really.

Vahy'n fins flattened back but she didn't shrink away from the look that Faleen was giving her. No, the Vaporeon met it. Why should she be scared? She knew this women from birth.
Faleen didn't look away either, though the longer she stood there, the more flushed her face was starting to look. she might not show much interest in the pokemon, but faleen knew this Vaporeon, and she knew exactly what that look on her face was for.
Such anguished disappointment...
It was a little surreal seeing Vany'n in this life, it had been a long time since she had seen the pokemon, let alone anyone else who was tied to her. Faleen had decided to leave that life as a separate distant part of her past. To have a piece of something she wanted to leave behind suddenly thrust into this new world... it felt out of place, and unwelcome.
"I see that I wasn't the only one who found this path." She said, still talking to the Vaporeon. knowing very well that Vahy'n was not here by choice.
This comment drew a deep from from the water type, who replied with a soft noise from her throat in protest.
"You two seemed to be working better with one another." she said, mostly to Asch
"VAPOR!" Vahy'n snapped again, in a ton as if admonishing the Agent.
Faleen frowned this time, looking down at Vany'n who continued to scold her, though desperately.
Faleen's pokemon didn't take kindly to this, Umbreon and Absol were by Faleen's side quickly, the two larger pokemon staring the water eon down.

Asch knew that the two had a past, although he didn't know how extensive it was. He could only watch and listen, and interpret her body language and tone of voice. Even though this had nothing to do with him, he was responsible for the Vaporeon and her behavior now.
"That's enough Vahy'n!" he said suddenly, his tone indicating that he was losing patience with this situation. Especially as Faleen's Pokemon came to her side, ready to defend her if need be.
"No matter how much you disapprove, you can't change anything. This is the life we have chosen to live. There is no going back." Even if he or Faleen wanted to leave Team Rocket, they couldn't. They made their choice and had to stick with it, and no scolding Vaporeon was going to change that.
Arms folded, Asch gave the water type a firm stare. If she continued like this, he might as well just put her back into her ball.
Asch's attention then returned to Faleen. "We have an understanding." Of sorts anyway. A sort of... agree to disagree sort of thing. Although he was certain that Vahy'n still intended to escape should she ever get the opportunity.

Vahy'n didn't take heed to Asch's words, nor did she seem threatened by the two dark types that were not staring her down on either side of the dark blond agent. Her eyes were on Faleen, and Faleen only, her hurt unable to contain itself, disappointment, shame, betrayal. She loved this women! loved her like her own child, in a way Vahy'n felt she was as much a parent to this women as Kathryne was. Kathryne would not want this! so it was Vahy'n who had to step in, say what her beloved friend could not.
Even if Faleen could not understand Vahy'n...
But Faleen didn't need to understand the words to know the look in her eyes, or to read the body language in her stance. The Agent stood where she was, unmoving for a time as she stared down at the barking, upset Vaporeon.
But Faleen's demeanor was quickly starting to deteriorate the longer the Vaporeon snapped at her vocally. her face was becoming quite flushed, her shoulders tensing as her teeth gritted together, her face tensing in a look of anguish and anger that was rare for the usually calm Agent to wear and few people have ever seen. "You are NOT MY MOTHER!" Faleen suddenly screamed, taking a harsh step forward in an act of defiance toward the Vaporeon.
This shut the Vaporeon up, who didn't back up, but did raise a paw, her head jerking back in surprise, with wide eyes and splayed fins at the outburst.
"How dare you! How DARE you." Faleen continued, hands, having dropped forward from being folded behind her back. a finger thrusting out to point an accusing finger at Vahy'n "Don't you ever think that for a second you could ever have that right Vahy'n! You are not her! And you never will be her! You are a POKEMON, Belonging to her or not, to treat me as anything but, will NOT be tolerated!"
Vahy'n fins drooped back, though she didn't take her wide eyes off of Faleen, looking as if she was stunned into a shock. Everything hurt... the words so piercing... Faleen might as well have stabbed her in the chest. The look on the human's face, her eyes held such a cold stare, one Vahy'n had never seen in her before.
Umbreon's ears slicked back, his and Absol's eyes broke away from Vahy'n to look up at Faleen. While Absol seemed more surprised by this, Umbreon quickly returned her gaze back to the Vaporeon, blowing his head below his shoulders and baring his teeth at her. How dare she upset his master!

The fact that he was ignored was more than a little annoying. But Asch remained standing where he was, arms folded across his chest and glancing between Vahy'n and Faleen. This wasn't his fight after all, thus he kept his mouth shut.
He would find it appropriate to punish Vahy'n for not listening if it wasn't for the fact that she was essentially being punished already. Faleen's outbursts seemed to have quite an effect on the Vaporeon. This confrontation could actually be to his benefit in a way, thus he decided to let things play out and not remove her. Unless things got out of hand.
Thus Asch became an observer from the sidelines. Quietly listening and paying close attention to all parties involved.

Things fell still after Faleen's outburst, her hand dropped back to bend at her side, a boot still stepped forward as she continued to glare heatedly at the Vaporeon.
While Vahy'n herself still stood, staring back at the Hazel eyes of her adopted daughter. Angry eyes that were betraying to Vahy'n a fine layer of sadness, and the frustration that went with it. That didn't help to overpower the contempt that was being directed at the water type.
Vahy'n finally stepped back, breaking the stare and turning her head to the side, staring at the opposite wall in defeat.
"Now do as your new master tells you." Faleen said when Vahy'n looked away. "Get used to it, you are Team Rocket now."
Faleen seemed to calm down when she said this, and while her face was still red, she stepped back, turning her eyes away in the opposite direction, seeming to come to her senses and realize what she had just done.
"... My apologize Asch..."

Asch watched closely as Vahy'n finally yielded and looked away. Hm. He then looked to Faleen as she apologized.
"Don't worry about it," he muttered.
Asch then looked back to Vahy'n. "Are you done now?" His patience obviously having been worn a bit thin. Faleen was right. She was a Pokemon, and shouldn't pretend to be anything but. And Pokemon were expected to obey, and she hadn't. Maybe things would change from this point. He could hope at least.
After a moment of silence though, Asch again looked to Faleen. "... Are you okay?"

Vahy'n did even make a movement that she had heard Asch talking at all, her posture, while usually held in an elegant poise was stiff, her shoulders pressed back tightly as she just stared off at the other side of the room.
For a few seconds after Asch asked before Faleen finally righted herself, shaking her hair lightly out of her face, and leveling her gaze with the other Agent's green eye. "yes." she replied, before letting out a soft sigh, blushing a little when she started to realize that she had lost her cool in front of a fellow Agent. "I apologize for that outburst, that was inappropriate of me."
