i am trying to join companions guild. i now have to turn this guys sword to another guy. but i cant find him. its the first quest for them so i can join. Anybody HELP!

the old guy with no shirt up at the forge...if hes not there then wait till daytime...if he is still not there wait till mid day...and if not then....you have to choices...go to his house by checking the name of the guy and checking all the houses. or....your game is glitching..

Go to the Skyforge it is right next to the guild. If you are heading up from the area withe Talos statue when you reach the doorrs of the guild turn left keep going untill you hit the end turn right and head up another hill. Once at the top you are at the Skyforge.

i am not at the official giuld im at that area underneath that inn in whiterun and have not explored much

...then your looking for him in the wrong place...he is up at the forge behind the comapions building...that forge that is high up on the hill
