I'm seriously going to enforce these rules and the other crew members will be helping me out. These rules were summed together by StrawberryZ0mbie and Angel Mhai for the most part and I am forever grateful to them for all their help.
Right so follow these rules, and we won't have any problems!
T H E R O S E N T A L E H A N D B O O K
oo1 - Follow the Gaia ToS.
oo2 - Please follow all instructions and requests from the captain and the crew.
oo3 - No Godmodding! No one is God! Do not post in two places at once. If you leave one area, please do your best to remember to note that you are exiting that area in some form or way, preferably at the bottom of your post.
oo4 - This is a semi-lit role play. One or two line posts are usually not going to give your RP partners enough to respond to, thus making it hard to speak with your character and include them in the RP. Try for at least one small paragraph.
oo5 - Grammar and spelling count. Please write in standard, literate English. No chatspeak or other pseudo-English dialects. If your fellow RPers can't understand what you're saying, they probably won't interact with your character and you'll be left out and that would be very sad. It is fine to link to pictures, songs, etc, to augment your post in moderation.
oo6 - If you're going to be in this guild, please be active. It will be difficult for you to keep up if you do not post at least every 2-3 days. A lot of things can happen in 2-3 days, so do your best. If you have an absence or an emergency, please inform one of our crew members, or put it up in the Absences thread. We have a monthly member clean up and if you aren't active or if you don't inform a crew member your reasons, you will be taken off the member list.
oo7 - All profiles must be posted at the CHARACTER PROFILES thread for approval. Once approved, you should create your own character thread in the appropriate forum.
oo8 - All posts should have at least a picture and a name so people know who they are dealing with. With so many characters in the RP, it's hard to keep all the characters straight. Please do not use neon, or extremely pale colors because they are difficult to see.
oo9 - Play your character according the profile. Please do NOT edit in new skills, powers, or huge personality changes without crew permission. All new skills and powers must go through the approval process.
o10 - Be courteous to your fellow RPers in the OOC and do not take the RP personally. Just because a character dislikes yours or insults yours, it doesn't mean their player has a problem with you. You cannot force everyone to be nice to your character or think your character is pretty or cool. Please don't stir up drama outside the RP because of things that happened in character.
o11 - If you choose to quote another player, please edit the text and images out of the quote box. Quoting huge post formats just adds clutter to the thread, and can also be confusing.
o12 - No character is good at everything they do. Ensure that your characters flaws are actual flaws. Being "too pretty" or "too nice" is not a flaw, nor is something like depression. The flaw section is try to keep the number of Mary Sue characters to a minimum. No one is perfect; everyone has weaknesses, physical imperfections, annoying personality traits, and bad habits. These are what make characters interesting. Your character's flaws should reflect your character's limitations. Overcoming these is how they will grow. If your character is too perfect... well, sorry to tell you, but you just made a super boring character.
o13 - No weapons allowed on school grounds. The only exception is the training grounds. Yes, your characters may have weapons and they can have sparring matches in the Training Grounds or train with their weapons on the Training Grounds-- just don't go hitting any other RPers that want to use the training grounds too. Please consider that this is a School Setting RP so we don't emphasize too much in battle. The only exception to this rule are Security Guards, but they must be responsible with their weapons, of course.
o14 -New members must wait at least two weeks before submitting their second character. This allows your first character to form relationships, ensuring they will not be neglected, and also lets the crew see how well you are able to function in the guild and adapt to the RP. After your second character, we still ask that you wait around a week before submitting new characters so we avoid character spamming and ensure every character will be used. Every character takes up precious dorm space. To avoid having to create new dorm threads, if there are active members with inactive characters, you will likely be asked to remove them from the RP.
