I love this poem...And yesss. i had to memorize it for English..in LATIN
You probably heard the music to this before. This is the music to The Mouse King in the Nutcracker.

O Fortune,
like the moon
you are changeable
ever waxing
and waning;
hateful life
first oppresses
and then soothes
as fancy takes it
poverty,
and power
dissolves like ice.
Often great
and empty,
your revolving wheel,
you are malevolent,
well-being is vain
and always fades to nothing,
shadowed
and veiled
you plague me too
now by game,
a lost shirt

I tried a couple of the words out.... I knew like 3 total.. stressed
The rest i translated using an online Latin to English translator, is this what you memorized White Cherry Blossoms?

I used to be in a choir and sang that once. The version in Latin. Always loved it ! heart blaugh
