A guard carried Evalina's cage up to the bakery. He walked in and placed her cage down in the center of the shop, since it was still closed. "Slave Delivery!" he yelled, waiting for her Master to claim her. Evalina was curious about her new home and Master. A bakery, one that smelled of sweet bread. She was thinking her Master was going to be kind, but she couldn't be positive.

Thomas came downstairs from the home part of his shop, seeing Evalina in the cage. "I'm here now. Would you mind getting her out of that box?" he asked, going to the guard and frowning slightly. "Is there anything that you need me to do to finalize the transaction?" he asked, not really sure since he'd never gotten a slave before or looked into it until recently.

The guard nodded, taking a key from his pocket and unlocked the cage. Evalina graciously stepped out, and the guard closed the door. "No, I jst needed you here to make sure she wouldn't run. Not like she would, though," he said, taking the cage and walking out of the bakery. Evalina turned to her Master and curtsied. "Hello, Master, my name is Evalina, but you may call me Eva if it's easier for you."

Thomas smiled at Evalina, gently taking her hand and looking at the guard. "I'm sure that she has no reason to run other than that you would hurt her." He sighed as the guard left, glad he took the cage. Softly he smiled at the girl as she curtsied. "Hello Eva. My name is Thomas. Why don't I show you around while I explain why you're here. This is my shop here. I bake and sell my products to those around here when I can. I live above the shop in a sort of small flat. There's an extra room for you so don't worry about it."

She smiled to him as he took her hand, stepping slightly clsoer to him before the guard left. Eva nodded to him as he explained to her about the bakery and his flat. "Sounds like a plan!" she said enthusiastically, still smiling.

"Let's go upstairs then," Thomas said, leading Eva up the stairs. "I was feeling lonely now that my parents have died. Besides, I think that it would be nice for someone to help me around the place. Like cleaning things or helping me make stuff for the bakery."

She nodded to him. "Well, I can do that. And don't worry, I promise to be around for a long time." she walked upstairs with him. On the stairs, she said, "Oh, and I must tell you before I forget, I am a shapeshifter."

Thomas smiled at Eva, glad she said she'd stick around. "Well, I'm a dryad or tree spirit. It doesn't bother me any that your form isn't constant. Mine isn't really either though I only have two forms." He led the girl into his flat and to a pale green room with a bed, two dressers, a closet and desk. "This is yours. There's a bathroom just across the hall that you can use. My room is a bit further down the hall and I have my own bathroom so you don't have to worry about needing to use the bathroom while I'm using it."

"Ah, a Dryad, haven't meet one before," she said with her bright smile, looking in the bedroom. She took a few steps inside, looking at every aspect of it as he spoke. "I love it, thank you so very much," she said, hugging him.

Thomas smiled at Eva, glad that she liked the room. Gently he patted her head as she hugged him, blushing slightly. "I'm glad you do like it. If you want you can paint the walls or change the furniture around. I don't mind at all."

"Well, it's your room so you can do with it as you like," Thomas said, relaxing a bit as Eva let go of him.

Thomas smiled at Eva, lightly petting her hair. "Well you can settle in here. Latter I'll come and show you around the rest of the place if you want. There's some clothes for you if you want to look them over."
