I think we all know what this is about by now. Here is a thread to express your thoughts- please, don't take it for granted.

Given that nearly 3/4 of all gaia diminished from 'member created art' and all that copyright infringement yadda yadda, it's a pretty big thing since mostly all of the Rps are based off copyrighted things like vocaloid, bleach etc

I'm not American, and to be honest, I don't really know the details about this bill. But from what I've heard and what I understand about what would happen if it were to pass, I don't like it. There are a couple of letters I was reading the other day that were actually quite fascinating - they were written by professors of law from (I believe) Harvard or something, and they were pointing out all the ways this law violates the First Amendment rights.

Although from what I've heard, it's not quite as big a deal now; Obama either tabled or vetoed SOPA and has publicly stated that he is against them, so SOPA at least is not going anywhere for a while (if ever - getting it slapped down by the President as well as most of the people you're supposedly serving probably doesn't go over well for a bill). Not sure if the same has been done for PIPA yet, but with any luck, it shall be so!
