"Oh bloody Spirits, whyyy?! Whyyyyyy???"

Red eyes sparkled with petite tears before hardening over in a glare, like rubies reflecting an inner bonfire. The owner of said eyes would not stand for this, no matter if it was her own fault or a tad bit painful. She could overcome anything, damnit! If this retched, old tree would just cooperate with her! Ugh, the tree. The mare glared over at the plant, resting just behind her, with a puffed frown and brows furrowed and twitching with accusation. And the reason for such pointed anger could be seen if one were to look up higher, into the winter-worn branches stretching up stubbornly to the gray sky.

Twisted and coiled around the rough browns of the branches were endless waves of vibrant red.

Iskra's pride and joy, all heaped in a mess on the branches due to her wild frolicking. How was she to know the wind would pick up, favoring the tree's lower branches to engage with her long locks? In her mind, it was all a sick and twisted game of the spirits in these lands. One that she certainly did not appreciate. And after countless tugs and spins, the mare found herself compelled to admit defeat against the tree, if only for a moment. In the meantime she took a break to regard other solutions she could try, her body leaning tauntly away from the tree like a bored and crooked scarecrow left abandoned.

This sucked.

Feathered ears bristled upright as the slightest of shuffling reached the captured mare. Her shoulders froze and her spine felt as if it became cemented with mud. She wasn't alone! But who was that, just out of sight?! A raccoon? A predator?! Iskra's imagination was beginning to get the best of her, and she nearly ripped her own hair as she gave a swift twirl to view the other individual.

Giving a wince at her hasty movement, the Troll mare managed a crooked grin at the other. Thank spirits, it wasn't a fearsome foe! Else she'd have to karate kick said foe in the face while still strapped to the tree. D< "Haha, is it that obvious? I suppose an extra set of eyes and hooves could help with my situation." Lifting her chin in a friendly and confident manner, she regarded the other. Another mare was always good company, or so she liked to assume, and it was much better than having one of her brothers here taunting her instead. Although the pale stranger was slightly shorter than herself, Iskra was grateful all the same for a mention of assistance.

"It doesn't hurt all that bad, and I still have some wiggle room. I think I'm lucky though....it looks as if the hair is more in loops than an actual tangle." She gave a bashful grin, trying to give some hope to the situation.
