RockerWolfie1616 Today would be it. Chepi knew it..well okay she didn't know it for sure..but, she would try her hardest to make it happen. Today she would work once agai nto find a new travel companion..a nice mare or stallion that had the urge to see the world just as she did. It had become something new..after she had grown into full fledged adult hood a one time run in with an adventuring older mare changed what Chepi wished to do with her time. Instead of protecting her father and, spending her days trapped among their little stretch of forest Chepi would travel..go on adventures and see the world. Taking the first few steps out into the early morning light, she kept her ears at attention, tail curled about her back leg so it wouldn't trip her up. She couldn't scare off any potential travel companions. "Hmm..." LOLTERNATIVE Aras walked along, smiling as he sang. The sun shone down, lighting his hair as it flew in the wind with the breeze. Today was a wonderful day and Aras was sure it was only going to get better. He glanced up at the sky, grinning sheepishly. "Today might be the start of a new adventure, mom." Though he was speaking to someone that was dead, Aras' voice remained cheey. That was the way it was with him - always moving and looking forward. What was the point in dwelling on the past when there was nothing you could change about it? Aras glanced around as he continued walking, eyes spying a mare. He stopped singing and tilted his head to the side. She seemed nice enough. He walked over to her, smiling brightly. "Hello there! A wonderful day we're having."

RockerWolfie1616 A voice clear and, sweet broke Chepi's constant pondering, wandering mind. Unable to see who had spoken for am oment the mare gave a quick shake of her mane so her good eye would be unobscured. "Oh..hello! Yes..it's a beautiful day.." Stepping very carefully the not so graceful female worked her best to appear..light and, airy. Like her adoptive mother looked, if only her legs didn't tangle so easily. "It is good to meet someone at last! I am Chepi..." Taking the last few steps to stand before him her eye lit up, sparkling with lively curiousity. "Wings..such pretty wings you have..does that mean you can fly?!" Awed silence followed Chepi's little outburst of excitement, her nose cautiously poking one of the feathered appendages. The urge to nuzzle at the soft smooth feathers..felt rather overwhelmeing. What beautiful wings, definetly nto fairy wings but, lovely in their own special way. "So soft and smooth..It's simply too bad my wings won't let me fly..they are far too tiny." Chepi had no real wings of course but, the mare had grown up thinking of herself as a fairy and, after a few run in with 'fairy' soq she truly thought she had wings but, that they were invisible. That had forever been her only logical explanation. LOLTERNATIVE Aras watched the girl as she moved towards him, smiling. She seemed quirky in her own way - it was cute. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Chepi. My name is Aras." His wings fluttered as she nudged them with her nose and he looked at them for a moment. "Aye, I can fly. But I choose not to. No one can hear me sing from way up there." He looked into the sky, squinting at the sun.
Aras eyed her back, not seeing any wings; but then he wasn't an expert on fairy wings so perhaps they were too tiny for him to see. "Tiny wings, hm? Tiny wings suit you, I think. Very dainty and cute." He grinned at her. She really was a curious creature; almost child like in her ways. "Tell me, Chepi. What are you doing out here on your own? Could you be waiting for your love?" He said the words teasingly with a chuckle, intending to make her blush. He was also assessing his grounds - what he could and couldn't say to her. He wasn't the kind to spend too much time with a lady who was spoken for.

RockerWolfie1616 Adding his name and, face to her memory Chepi gave him one of her typical sunny smiles, tail lashing around behind her in a happy manner. "Aras..but, flying looks so fun..oh you sing? I've never done that before..except as a foal." His quesiton had her head bobbing in reply; yes tiny wings that had to be the real true perfect reason..he had figured it out! What a smart stallion. Giggling soflty at his words she shook her head looking down a little with now heating cheeks. "W-what..no..thats very silly Aras..I..just came out to find someone..to adventure with. To travel and, see the world with..plus I'm not dainty at all..I trip and fall all the time." Finding that she had started to ramble in her now more shy state Chepi ducked her head further, pretending to find a blade of grass very interesting. Having only met a few others in her time..mostly while hse had been young..all the frliting and, attention left her a bit..flustered..shaken but, not in a bad way. It felt kind of nice to be complimented for once..as she usually gave the compliments to others. "Y-you are..very handsome yourself..I would love to hear one of your songs..." LOLTERNATIVE Aras laughed as she rambled. Someone to travel with? His eyes glanced up at the sky, looking to his parents who he couldn't see. Could this be fate? The adventure that was going to start? Surely it must be a sign. "Adventure, huh?" He smiled, eyeing the lands ahead. "I'm a traveller myself, Chepi. If you wouldn't mind I'd be quite happy to accompany you." He eyed her tail curiously. He'd never seen a tail like that before. It was marvelous. "I love singing. My mother did, too. When she sung even the birds stopped to listen. Music is a gift and I love to share it with the world." He blushed a little, having said so much about him self after just meeting someone. Perhaps it was too much. "I would love to hear you sing, Chepi. I hear fairies have beautiful voices."

RockerWolfie1616 Another traveller..someone to go on adventures with had stumbled right onto her path..at just the right time. Perking up, her smile again matched the sun..bright, filled with life. Aras seemed like he would make a wonderful companion. "Oh..that's such a wonderful gift..you are quite a noble stallion..with a good heart. I can feel it. It would be an honor to travel with you, Aras." Humming softly under her breath..a soft little melody she had often heard her father humming the mare turned back towards the forest she had exited..at the small worn pathways she and, her father had made. "Siing? N-no..not me.." Giggling her cheeks colored a light pink, as her feet moved to land on the pathway. "I cannot leave jsut yet..first I must say goodbye to my..father..will you come with me? He probably won't let me leave unless he gets a good look at you.." Laughing again..this time accompanied with a soft shake of her head Chepi walked along the path..deep into the little area of forest she had always called home. Her father lay up ahead..in a more open meadow, where the flowers bloomed beautifully. Next to him lay his little stuffed tiger and, the real little 'tiger', both sharing the name Bau. "Daddy..it's time for me to leave now..I will be careful of...the dark one. Please..trust me. Aras will be my companion..Together we will keep each other safe and, I will bring back many stories for you.." The Stallion remained stoic..staring over at Aras, making sure the stallion looked good enough for his precious daughter's company. After a few minutes Tavshed finally hefted himself up, too tired to speak but, his eyes were filled with emotions. Chepi nearly lost her nerve..but, one look back at Aras and, she felt strong once more. "Stay safe..I will try to come back soon but, I make no promises." With a final loving nuzzle she turned back..moving along the path out into the great beyond. To a world she had yet to see..a world she would boldly face with Aras by her side. LOLTERNATIVE Aras watched as she smiled and could not stop the smile that broke out across his face if he tried. Her compliments made him blush. Noble.. Good heart. All these things he had thanks to his parents. His charm from his father, his voice from his mother. Even the adventures he would soon go on would be a gift from them.
Her father? Aras shuffled behind her as she moved to the clearing. He stood proud and strong, not speaking as he was not spoken to. He watched the exchange in awe. So much emtion with barely any words spoken from the stallion. Chepi must really love her father and her her. He promised himself he would keep her safe; protect her at any cost.
"You have my word she'll stay safe," Aras said, bowing his head in respect before he turned to follow Chepi. As they broke out of the forest he turned, walking backwards so he could look at her. "Tell me, dear Chepi. Where would you like to go? What adventures would you like to have? Pirates? Dragons? Perhaps we could meet a fairy Queen." He laughed; geuinely excited about the road and times ahead.
Happy, Aras began to sing. The song told the story of a knight and the Princess he'd fallen in love with; how an evil force tried to keep them apart. Of course, in the end, love conquered all and they lived happily ever after. Aras never sang sad songs. He did not like to make people cry; even if it was just a reaction to the story and not him personally. Music, he believed, was meant to bring joy not sadness.

RockerWolfie1616 Kicking up dirt as she walked Chepi turned her eye skyward, delighted at all the fluffy white clouds..her mind swimming with ideas. Adventure. Finally she would leave the forest, at first the mare had imagine it would be frightening but, she couldn't have been happier. Even if a fairy appeared right then and, there to talk to her Chepi would be too far gone..too far into her imagination to notice. "Everywhere Aras! Let's travel the world..see everything, we can look in caves and maybe..see the ocean. Pirates are near there!" The song had her pausing, heart soaring with the sounds..with the emotions rising and falling with Aras's sweet voice. Humming softly when the last notes, when the last words had been sung Chepi hurried to catch up with her new companion. What adventures would they find..what thrilling memories would they make. Whatever happened she felt safe..content and happy for now with Aras by her side. The day had taken a wonderful turn. LOLTERNATIVE Aras laughed at Chepi's excitement. It refreshed him, strengthened his belief in the good in the world. He went over locations he'd traveled in his mind, wondering where it was he could take her for her first. There was a forest not far from here; but he doubted she would want to go there for her first trip considering she just left one. AH! They weren't far from the beach. He wondered if Chepi had ever seen the beach or gone swimming in it. Personally, Aras loved the beach. The sand underneath his hooves, the waves rolling in to kiss them as he splashed just in the water. The life that lived in the water's depths; wonderful shells and stones that had been smoothed. On top of that, beaches always seemed to have SOMEONE there. The weather was always quite pleasantly warm. Fluttering his wings he turned to Chepi. "I know where we can go," he smiled. "But it's a secret." Aras couldn't wait to see her face. Perhaps there would be pirates there and caves to explore. It was possible he was just as excited as Chepi. It was like it was his first time seeing the ocean again.

RockerWolfie1616 Laughing lightly Chepi bounced along, trying hard to keep her tail in order..such a troublesome thing. Still her heart leapt with joy, curiousity bubbling up as Aras spoke. A secret? Oh bother..the mare really hadn't ever bene good at keeping secret's or standing it when others kept secrets. EVen if the surprise might be nice it made her even MORE antsy. "Oh Aras please please tell me! Secrets are meant to be told." Teasingly her tail flicked out to whap against the stallion's side, not too hard..she did thankfully know her own strength. "Will it take long? Is it magical?!" Spirits higher than the very cloudsi n the sky she kept up pace..occasionally pausing to watch Aras or listen to the song of the creatures around them. Birds chirped, squirrels chittered and the breeze rustled through the trees. Such a wonderful day..a wonderful place and, spending time with Aras made her heart sing. LOLTERNATIVE Aras trotted along and whistled along with the birds that flittered in the skies around them. He watched Chepi from the corner of his eye, grinning as she tried to manage her tail. He wondered what it was like to have such a tail. His own was small and fluffy. Hers would come in handy if she knew how to use it. Which, apparently she did. He oofed and faked a cry, bursting into laughter afterwards. Her teasing was adorable. Sniffing the air, Aras caught the faint scent of the ocean. Not long now; another hour and a half maximum. She would be able to see it on the horizon soon, assuming she what it was she was looking at. "Not long now, Chepi. I promise it will be wonderful." He grinned. It actually would be perfect. They would arrive in time to have a little bit of a splash around and wouldn't have to wait very long to see the sun set. Despite his many years of travelling, Aras had never seen the sun set over the ocean. He didn't like staying in wide open spaces at night. But with Chepi by his side, brave; unafraid, he felt his worrying was nonsense. His wing lifted up and rustled her hair lightly as Aras chuckled. "I promise it will be worth the walk." His wing moved from her head and back down to his side, though he kept it stretched out a little so his feathers brushed against his side.

RockerWolfie1616 Eye focusing Chepi could smell something..and see something off in the distance..on the horizon. What was that? All kinds of blue, stretching far beyond what the mare could see or hope to see. The delicate rustle of her hair snapped Chepi back to attention a soft laugh escaping as heat spread to her pale face. "I see something..but, I wonder what it is? I have wings too..but, they are small and, do not work well..plus others say they cannot see them. I wonder why? Can you see them Aras?" Going off on her own little rambling tangent Chepi turned to look at her back. Of course..she did not actually have real wings but, the mare had forever thought that she did. Why she had even tried to fly many times. Inhaling deeply she stepped up her speed wanting to get there faster, she had to see this amazing wonderful surprise! So intent..so focused on wanting to get to her surprise it took the mare a long while to notice that she could hear something now. Something like a crash of water..that she could smell salt even more, that a light breeze brought the taste of it to her mouth. Blinking she stopped completely..the trees were thinning and, the ground / felt/ more dry somehow. Ears pricking up fully things began to connect..and with each connection her heart beat faster, excitement filling her with adrenaline. "THE OCEAN!" Aras had led them to the ocean..one of the things Chepi had longed to see..after hearing about it so long ago..being able to almost see it thrilled her. "Hurry Aras hurry!" Much like a foal in her antics she again picked up the pace nearly galloping to get to the ocean..to the sand up ahead. LOLTERNATIVE Aras grinned at Chepi and looked at her back. "Of course I can see your wings! They're the prettiest wings I've ever seen." Of course, she didn't have any wings, but who was he to tell her what she can and can't believe? It made her happy and that was all that mattered to him. Lifting a wing, he held it over her head, shading her from the sun that got stronger the closer they got to the ocean. He chuckled, her laughter and excitement contagious. The clues were strong now; the smell of salt in the air, the rushing roar of the waves, the caw of sea birds. He breathed in the air, relished the sound of the waves and kept his eyes on Chepi, wanting to remember this moment; the look on her face when she realised where they were headed. And he was right to do so, her face was priceless and he grinned happily. He picked up his pace to join her side, laughing. She was so excited and he was glad. He was glad he was sharing this moment with her. "Fairy Chepi, may I present to you the ocean." He smiled down at her for a moment before taking off at a slow run. "Race you!"

RockerWolfie1616 Giggling brightly Chepi wrapped her tail higher up upon her leg to stop the devilish appendage from tripping her. A race, oh the joy she felt..her heart race..her body sang with such delight the mare could hardly contain herself. With a giddy squeal her hooves dug into the sandy earth below, rushing to keep up with her winged companion. "I will get you Aras!" Just breathing in the salty air gave her an extra kick of speed however..the moment her hooves hit full warm sand she slowed and came to a delicate stop. "Oh...so..warm.." Much like a foal who had found somethign new Chepi poked and, prodded at the sand..satmping her feet ot send little bits of it flying another happy laugh leaving her lips. "Eee! Aras look it flies!" LOLTERNATIVE The warmth of the beach seemed different to the warmth of their journey. It washed over Aras instantly and seemed to only get hotter when Chepi joined him in the sand. He dug his hooves into the sand, enjoying the warmth and the feeling; soft and rough at the same time. He turned as Chepi laughed and a grin broke out across his face as she stamped the sand around. "Oh, Chepi! You've awoken the..," he jumped a little, kicking more sand. Sand fairies!" He began to run towards the water. "Quick! To the water!" He reached the water, waves rolling in and out and dipped his hooves gingerly. It wasn't hot, but it wasn't freezing cold either; enough to walk in, probably not enough to swim comfortably in, especially since the sun would be setting soon. His eyes moved to the ground and he began to look for shells, especially those with naturally formed holes. He'd make a necklace for Chepi. A souvenir of her first trip to the ocean. "If we stay here tonight, tomorrow we can try and find some rock pools and maybe see some fish or star fish.. or.. Well, whatever else lives in them," he called to her, still nosing about for shells.

RockerWolfie1616 Only hearing the word Faries Chepi's eye flicked upwards, heart hammering from their run and her continuing excitement. Rushing towards the water another excited sort of sound left her..ears pricked forward. "Oh! Can we stay for a few days? Please please!" Turning she beamed, quickly moving to trail after Aras..wondering what he might be up to. "What are you looking for? Faries?! " Spotting the pretty little shells below her steps became more careful, energy slowly fading to a tiny buzz within her head. "So pretty Aras..t-thank you for bringing me here.." LOLTERNATIVE Aras turned and grinned at Chepi as she moved to his side. "We can stay here as long as you want, dear." The term of endearment came out of his mouth before he knew what he was saying and he cough lightly, turning his head to hide his blush. He spotted a medium sized shell, white in colour with a pearlish iridescence. He bent down and on further inspection, was happy to find it had a hole in the top. "Perfect." He picked it up in his mouth and popped it in the bag at his side. Turning to Chepi, he smiled. "You're more than welcome. I'll take you anywhere you want to go, all you have to do is ask." He began picking up smaller shells, placing them in his bag. "We should find somewhere to rest so we can watch the sunset."

RockerWolfie1616 Still rather giddy and, happy Chepi followed after Aras watching him intently. "Ohh! Sunset..I can't wait." Nose bumping against the stallions neck, her mind overflowed with questions and ideas. "Maybe one day we can see the mountains! Oh oh! Maybe we could also go to the fairy forest..." Voice trailing off her eye became drawn to the brilliant colors slowly seeping into the sky above. Breathtaking..prettier than anything the young mare had ever seen. "Oh Aras..." LOLTERNATIVE Aras gave a sheepish grin as the sight of the sun setting into the ocean literally took the words out of her mouth. He smiled at her and plopped onto the sand, waves rolling in not far ahead of them. This was as good a spot as ever and they could move once night fell and they were ready to sleep. His wings flared and stretched out, flapping lightly. "I'm glad you like it, Chepi. I want to show you every beautiful thing in the world." He paused, frowning a little. "No. I want to show you everything." He blushed a little, staring at the sand to hide it. Was that too forward? He wasn't sure what it was, but Chepi brought out something in him.. Something that was familiar.. Something he'd seen perhaps in his parents.. He wanted to give her everything she wanted, no matter what the request.

RockerWolfie1616 Cheeks turning a soft pink Chepi quietly kept her gaze upon the sky above. It looked truly magnificent..with the ocean below and the sky awash in color. She was a naive creature..it took tine for her to notice things but, her hearts racing told her enough. "Really? You are the kindest stallion I have ever met..I want to travel with you forever..to see all our world has to offer." Smiling she carefully settled next to Aras, leaning against him shyly. The mare had never imagined feeling this way..her father had spoken of love once but, it had made him so sad. Chepi felt no sorrow. Only a pleasant warmth and a sense of peace at having Aras close to her. "I..like you Aras..very much! Even more than fairies!
