Azulon was on the trail of a rabbit. He wasn’t at all in a hurry, though, which explained why he stood at his full height and seemed to walk as slowly as he pleased. It was, after all, only a distraction, and besides. The creature’s foot was injured, so it was leaving a handy little trail of blood which he could pick up on, aside from it having rather predictable movements. The movements, of course, being away from him.
The small creature was clearly scared, considering it had even missed a couple holes to scurry into here and there. They could be so stupid sometimes. Then again, Azulon mused, he hadn’t seen it for a while. Maybe the red lion had actually lost the trail. Hm… He continued on in the direction it had last been moving, pondering what he should do for entertainment if the rabbit had actually escaped.

Yellow eyes gleamed in the sunlight as she stalked around in the tall grasses. Bi was on the look out for new play mates to take her annoyance out on. One of her brothers won a play fight against her and she did not like that at all. She wanted to be the strongest out of all her siblings! A cub growl emitted from her throat as she stalked around. That is, before the scent of blood filled her nose.
Her ears perked up and a grin appeared on her face. She adjusted her path to follow the scent of the blood and just walked. Who cared how far she wandered from home? Most adult lions would leave a cub alone, so she wasn't worried about anything dangerous. She moved as quick as she could without running before she finally spotted a blood trail. It looked like, from the tracks, a rabbit!
Following it, she saw the rabbit had gone into a hole. Peeking around, Bi saw no one around and started digging at the hole. "You better stay in there! I want to play with you!" She said, laughing as she flung dirt all around her before sticking her front half into the hole. Her paws reached in and she patted around, tail wiggling as this happened.

It seemed like she hadn't noticed him, having reached the whole first. And she seemed quite intent on it.
Azulon knew what this meant, his hare was in the hole and the cub was after it, too. Some lions might be irritated by another chasing the same thing they were after, but frankly, the red lion didn't care. Not at all. If he couldn't toy with the rabbit, he could toy with the cub.
Taking advantage of the fact that she was currently trying to reach the rabbit in the hole, and thus not looking at him, Azulon approached easily, barely making a sound. He raised a paw over the cub, and unseathed a caw. Then, simply dragged along her back. It wasn't really enough to break skin, perhaps a little towards the end, but enough to be uncomfortable, even a little bit painful.
Azulon's own little form of hello.
He didn't speak immediately after that, just pulled back his paw and placed it back on the floor, waiting to see what the creature would do.

Of course she was too busy to notice someone walking up to her. She almost had the rabbit. But when those nails raked painfully down her back, the lioness cub squealed in pain and jumped at the same time. She hit her head and struggled to come out quickly. When she did, the yellow eyed girl saw red. Growling, she looked up at the male and then let her ears go flat. "What was that for?! I didn't do anything to you!" She snapped at him, reaching out to try to scratch him like he had scratched her.
Of course, she thought better against it an stopped right before she did. But Bi did back up drastically, her bag stinging. "That hurt! You're mean!"

He watched the cub react, eyebrows slightly raised. He was even a little amused that, for a moment there, she seemed to want to hurt him too. Most cubs he'd dealt with would immediately try to run away. Not all of them really got that far, to be honest. Cubs didn't usually run fast. But Azulon found he wasn't really in the mood for such things today.
"It was supposed to." He said with a shrug. "I've been called that before." Azulon conceded, sitting down and curling his tail around his paws.
