 900/900 VS  900/900 ((Never done a non-stadium sanctioned battle before, bear with me, plox.)) Walpurgis and Gangrel walked through the open field. They were on a mission for Team Rocket, and had to arrive in Katarina by the morning. They were doing well on time, but they did not rest for want of looking weak. Walpurgis' mind was filled with thoughts of the upcoming hirings for the Motterosa Gym Leadership. Looking at Gangrel, his only pokemon, he knew that it would be tough. Even Brock of the stone had had two pokemon, one was simply unheard of. But with enough training, he was sure they could overcome that barrier. Turning back to reality, movement in the bushes caught his eye. A wild pokemon? Gangrel had noticed it too, it seemed, and the rattata leapt into the bushes fangs-bared to flush whatever was inside out.

Niji yelped and rushed out of the bushes, stopping abruptly when he saw the human. For a moment, he was still, vibrating with tension.

It took Walpurgis a moment to register the pokemon. Gangrel poked his head out of the bushes, red eyes gleaming with malice. Walpurgis didn't stop to think - they'd seen no trainers for the past day, this eevee was clearly wild. A second pokemon would increase his chances at the gym leader position by tenfold. Not to mention that Gangrel had been getting antsy. Turning to the battle-lusting rattata, he gave a slight nod.

Niji didn't wait for the Ratatta to attack, it was obvious it was hostile. He sent a storm of stars at the Ratatta, fluffing his fur menacingly as he did.

Gangrel was blasted into the bushes by the starry barrage, and Walpurgis was kind of unsettled - he had never fought a wild pokemon before. But there was no use in worrying about it now, the eevee was out to hurt Gangrel, so he had no time to feel bad for attacking.
"Gangrel! Use Work Up!"
Gangrel stayed in the bushes, but the rustling grew quieter as he seethed with anger. HE wanted to attack unexpectedly, damn it!

Although he couldn't see the exchange, Gangrel could imagine what had just happened. Still, he couldn't see what was going on inside the bushes, so he'd have to use a area of effect attack.
"Gangrel, freeze it all!"
The grass turned brown and wilted as the temperature dropped. The wind picked up, and Walpurgis pulled his cloak around him. It had been a while since Gangrel had used a Blizzard attack, but it seemed much stronger than before. A result of their training, he guessed.

As the ice fell from the eevee, Gangrel fell upon it like a crobat out of hell, fangs enlarged and sharpened, snapping at anything he could get his fangs on.
