Apartment layout and description.

The apartment Luther was to be stationed in was complimented to him by the council of the Magic country. It was located in a more wealthy district of the city but not too far from Death Academy and the many locations revolving around it. It was meant to be rather comfortable for him and his weapon partner(s) as long as he maintained the reputation of their order and kept his grades up.

Luther stumbled his way from the park all the way back to his apartment. He shook his head and walked in to relax on his own sofa and hopefully get his mind out of the slump it was in. He looked on the nearby wall to see one of the swords he'd carried with him from England. Luther stood up to take it down from its mantle and pulled it slowly from its scabbard before examining it. He gave it a quick swing and stood there in a pose. The sword was cold, It hadn't the warmth of Yin or Yang's guns. It made him feel sorrowful almost. It was...a lonely feeling of a soldier.

"Sheesh...I'll have to have a talk with those two...I need to know how they feel about me."
Luther slammed the sword back into its casing and putting it around his waist. "I guess i'll go ease some stress..." He went off to his room to stare at the mirror for a moment grooming himself a bit before leaving the apartment heading for shibusen.

"I mean, c'mon! You're saying you'd rather have this weapon," Yin exclaimed, poking the sword on Luther's side, "which you have to clean yourself, has no sense of humor or personality, then us, the never have to clean, super awesome, funtacular gun blades?!" Yin was making the most outrageous motions while saying all this to Luther. He had noticed his sister had caught up to them but since she was being quiet, he left her be and continued the conversation with Luther. "What's wrong with- woah." He finally paid attention to his surroundings, "Where are we?"
Yang quietly walked behind the two guys, not knowing what to say. She was furiously braiding small bits of her hair, nervous and unsure of what was going to happen. She noticed that they were heading to a better part of the city but had never been here herself since it was too expensive and not worth her time. It wasn't until they entered an apartment complex that she figured they were heading to Luther's house. "He must be pretty rich," she thought to herself when they entered into the apartment and saw it was very luxurious.

Luther had been resisting the great urge to deck Yin in the mouth but he knew that would cause unnecessary amounts of stress between them. Most of it was really him defending his sister which was something he could honestly understand. He snatched the sword away from Yin when he touched it causing Luther to glare at him even more than before. "Touch this again and your fingers will belong to me."

Luther proceeded to unlock the door to the apartment walking in quickly hoping to get away from his 'partner'. He untied the sword from his waist and placed it on the mantle he had retrieved it from before moving out of the room deeper inside. "I'd much rather had that cold piece of steel. Cleaning it keeps me calm and bonds me to it. The fact it has no humor keeps me hard, sharp and emotionless just like my blade like i need to be in battle. If you knew anything about swords you would know it has all the personality it needs in its craftsmanship. "

He went into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water before sitting at the counter placing it on his forehead. "Unfortunately, we are in 'our' apartment. The Elder's of the magic council in england are paying for this as long as i keep a successful career as a meister. Its big enough to host me and my partner or partners in this case. Though with you i'll be homeless soon enough."

Luther glanced at Yang who looked like she was a few memnts from pulling a bald spot in her head with all the braiding.

"I'm not talking about you Yang...So don't worry...What you do in your personal life doesn't concern me. I'm not your keeper." He twisted the top off the water to finally drink from the bottle.

"At least it shouldn't anyway...I'm her meister so its best she doesn't fall for me anyway. It'll conflict with our job."

"That'd be kind of hard to do, considering I can change my fingers to steel," Yin said, transforming his hand into his weapon then right back to his hand. Yin started roaming around the house, looking and touching just about everything. "I can see you're so excited to have to live with us," Yin said his voice laced with much sarcasm, "we have our own place already so if you'd rather be with your precious, lifeless, pretty swords, we'll gladly leave." Yin was joking up until the last sentence. "We wouldnt want to hold your awesome powers back," he said, shooting Luther a glare with his white eyes. He didn't like Luther's attitude towards him or his sister. He meant it when he said they weren't just metal and he and his sister deserved much more than what Luther was showing even with the ritzy place.
Yang noticed her brother was getting ticked off at Luther. "W-what he's saying is that um i-if you don't want to be our partners," Yang was staring at the floor while saying all this, "um, we'll be on our way then..." Her eyes finally glanced up at him before looking back down.

"If that's what you want then fine. Its not like you'd listen even if i asked you to stay. You don't have to listen to me right?" He shrugged and grabbed a near by kitchen knife twirling it between his fingers. "Here i was feeling bad because i was trying to find the right way to tell you guys my feelings about being your meister. Yet, I don't think that matters now. You already have this poor impression of me. It hasn't even been that long since we've known each other so i'm sure you guys have plenty of time to find someone else."

Luther jammed the knife through the counter keeping his grip on the handle. "I just know if you talk about my swords again i'll never forgive you. My swords are all i have in this world. They're like my brothers and sisters. I treat them better than i do myself. Look around. You'll see them in the open which i proudly display. I clean them every day, I keep them sturdy, I respect their power. They're able to do things i can't. Swords...They're never afraid. They carry out whatever wills them. They can make dreams come true. They can give power to those too weak to protect what they care about. They've saved my life countless times growing up in a world that teaches you the things i know."

He stared at the knife regretting how recklessly he treated it and pulled it from the counter. He went to grab his tools to immediately begin to repair it.

"Unite your body and soul. Fuse the rules of fighting. Set your mind on the path of power. That is what i was told to accomplish. My master said that each weapon has its own strength and weaknesses. Short or long. Sharp or blunt. Soft or Hard. Heavy or Light. I was trained in the ways of a weapon master. I was raised to believe that weapons are a tangible form of power. Anyone who can fuse his body and soul with them would possess the greatest power in the world. To me swords are the best weapons to hold in ones hands." He worked quickly with experienced hands repairing it as fast as it was damaged.

"Its easy to forget that swords don't have a soul. That's why people use them recklessly. They damage them and never check to see how it feels. You don't have to have a soul to weep...I'm bonded to my weapons in ways normal people never will be. This knife it crying to me. It was angry...I wronged it as if it were a person. You could hear its screams. I had to ease its pain..."

Luther cleaned the knife and put it away turning his back to the twins.

"I started thinking to myself. 'Yin and Yang aren't normal weapons. They have souls, they have themselves as family, they have friends, they have their own lives to live. They laugh, cry, breathe, sleep, even feel pain.' Do you know what kind of weight that is to carry? What if as your meister i fail to defeat a keshin. I have not only forfeited my life but yours as well. I put you in a situation that i couldn't handle and cost you everything. Yin, You're too stubborn and wouldn't know when to retreat. Yang, You're too compassionate and you wouldn't abandon us if the need called for it. I know its stupid to think that way...But why should my own negligence be the cost of your lives. The amount of pressure that is on my consciousness is overwhelming. You can't imagine how that makes me feel... "

Luther started to walk away from them and into the depths of the apartment. He followed the stairway until he stood at the top of the apartment allowing him to look over Death city and catch some air. He genuinely felt bad for how he treated them but he didn't know how to express it. Apologie weren't his forte at all.

Yin huffed. He wanted to say a lot of things but wasn't sure what to start with. Just before he started charging after Luther to give him a piece of his mind, he felt something on his arm and looked. Yang's hand was there and she was smiling at him.
"Let me go talk to him," Yang said to her brother, "Bring up a bottle of water in about 20 minutes, my throat is still a little sore from over singing." With that, she left her brother and followed after Luther.
When she saw his back, she cleared her throat to let him know she was there. "Ya know," she said as she was walking up next to him, "you and Yin are a lot alike. You both hide behind this facade that makes it seem everything is okay but inside you're both troubled with something." She never really looked at Luther. She walked up to the edge, holding onto the railing and looking out over the city. She took a deep breath before speaking again. "What Yin was getting at was that you're not alone. I know it didn't seem like he was saying that with his weird teasing and way of speaking, but that's what he meant. You don't have to rely on just your swords anymore. We'll listen to your dreams, your wills, your fears and doubts, your griping and whining; all of it, we'll listen. We may not always do everything you want us to, but that's the difference between your precious weapons and us as weapons."
Yang's voice rang clear through the night though she really wasn't speaking loudly. "And... we are weapons," she changed her hand into her gun blade, staring at her reflection in the white metal, "we have strengths and weaknesses, just like your swords, we will cry and get angry, just like the knife, but we are so much more."
She turned and faced him, changing her hand back. "You realize this and that's why you're feeling burdened, but please don't. Yin and I have been through a lot and we realize what we're getting ourselves into by staying," she smiled at him, "but we're not gonna leave, well... unless you want us to. That was never ever a choice for us to make, regardless of the fuss my brother made. We chose you as our meister and you chose us. And I think it's one of the smarter decisions we've made in our life. You were even able to shoot a round out of Yin today!"
She giggled as she remembered the scene. "It truly was amazing. And I speak for my brother and I both when I say that we'll gladly go down fighting if it's with a meister like you." Yang's eyes sparkled as she spoke to Luther, looking into his eyes. None of it was a lie nor was it exaggerated. She just hoped Luther would see that.

Luther looked away from her when she first stood next to him as she was talking. He really didn't want to hear it but at the same time he couldn't help but listen to her. Slowly he find himself looking back out at the city rubbing the back of his head taking into consideration the things she was saying to him. He sighed softly hung over the railing as she started to make him feel like a total jerk about how he handled the situation. He stood up to look at her and couldn't help but lock eyes with her. His cheeks flushed a bit at how brightly she looked at him. She had so much faith in him it was a little intimidating.

"Silvia use to look at me like that too..." He said quietly without thinking. "I guess we're stuck with each other then. To be honest...I have no idea how even did that. I wouldn't be able to do it that easily again. I don't remember what it felt like or how i did it. I doubt he even paid attention enough because he was too busy yelling at me for an accident." Luther flipped his hair back from his eyes finally calming down after all this time.

"I'm sorry if i upset you Yang. Most of what i said was directed toward Yin but i can see how it would have easily upset you too...I'm the farthest thing from amazing. I just hope you don't live to regret the decision of being my partner. I'll do my best to live up to your expectations."

Luther made a fist with his right hand and threw a punch to the night air. "I have a lot of weight to carry. Not just with the burden of taking care of you two but with the hopes of my country. They have high hopes for me and that in itself is a lot of weight..."

Yang listened quietly as Luther spoke. She giggled and lightly covered his fist with her hand. "I think I'll be doing most of the taking care of around here," she joked, "but in all seriousness, Yin and I aren't burdens, we're here to help you carry those burdens whether it is your hometown's pressure on you or your own pressure on yourself, we're not letting you take all the baggage." She let go of his fist and smiled at him. "We won't regret anything either. We never have and I'm not planning on starting."
Yin had managed to get to the roof without the two noticing. He jumped on his sister from behind making her scream and draped over her with his arms, leaning on her. There was a water bottle in his hand. "I agree with everything Yang says. Sure we'll have our bumps in the road but we're all still a team. That's not gonna change. So will you stop with the whole Atlantis syndrome." Yang corrected him saying it was Atlas not Atlantis. "Oh, we'll whatever..." Yin got off his sister and held out his hand to Luther, "So what do you say?"

Luther just crossed his arms and stared at Yin's hand. "I don't want to carry anyone else's burden. What am I supposed to do about other people's problems?" He flipped his hair back and grinned at him. "Is what i would have told you both had i been the way i was before i came to Death City. Be glad you didn't know me in the magic country." He took Yin's hand before going back toward the stairs.

"This is going to take some getting use to. After all i'm use to being a being of solitude." He yawned and started down the stairs. "I don't know about you two but i'm hella hungry."

Yin at first glared at Luther but afterwards his face spread into a full grin. He followed after Luther, "Psh, You'll get used to us in no time. And I'm starving! Whatcha got to eat?"
Yang giggled when she realized Luther was joking. She followed after them, "Ah, but we have to go get out stuff from our house after we eat, Yin!" She knew he would forget and she would have to work everything out with the landlord.

"Yeah, Get use to you? Yang'll probably keep to her self most of the time but you like to make your existence known as loudly as possible..." Luther rubbed the side of his head and looked around. "What's that smell...?"

"He walked towards the dining room and raised his eyebrow atthe large meal that laid along the length of the table. "What in the..." He walked over to examine it all soon noticing a note that laid in the center.

Dear Luther,
It seems you've finally found partners that can put up with your attitude. They seem to be a good match for your worrying personality. As a Minister Candidate Its important that you establish a close bond with them so that you can successfully accomplish the goal of any meister and turn their weapons into death scythes. Until then, Stop being so stubborn and open up to them. The ice around your heart will prevent you from reaching your full potential. So to help i had this dinner arranged for you three. Food usually brings people together. Enjoy.
~Magic Council Headmaster

Luther gripped the letter in his hand crinkling it up before trying to hide it from Yin and Yang.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah..."

"Well actually Yin will only stay inside if he's asleep. Normally, he'll go out and draw or find a place to sleep some more," Yang explained, giggling. "Mmm... Something smells delicious! Wow!" Yang admired the table of food before she realized something. She spun around looking for something completely on alert. "Did someone come in here??" she asked as she kept looking around.
"Oh yeah? Well you're always like a lost puppy, clinging to the person nearest you," Yin retorted to his sister, "sure, you're not loud but you hate to be alone." He stuck his tongue out to Yang who was doing the same thing to him. "Wow is right! Look at all this food!" Yin was practically drooling over it all. "Who cares if someone came in the house! They gave us food! Let's eat!" Yin jumped into a chair and was ready to scarf down the food. "C'mon, Luther, stop 'yeah, yeah, yeahing' and let's eat!"
PostPosted: Fri Feb 03, 2012 5:36 pm

"You two can enjoy it. I don't feel much up to eating now." He sat at the table and crossed his arms glaring at the food. "Don't worry. No ones planning to attack us or anything. You can rest easy and eat Yang."

"They trained me to be cold hearted yet now they want me to change my ways? He isn't still mad about his granddaughter is he??"

Luther sat there with a blank stare his eye twitching as he slowly got angry again.

"So...where did you two come from anyway? My hometown is in france. Bordeaux, France. I was moved to Wales when i was a kid though. Apparently I was chosen because i had the aura of a warrior. I guess its the personality of my soul i think they call it here."

Yang relaxed a bit though still a bit conscious of her surroundings. "Are you feeling okay?" she asked Luther, placing her hand on his forehead, "you don't seem to have a fever but maybe I should make some chicken noodle soup for you. Can never be too careful." With that she walked towards the kitchen talking to herself. "Oh and while I'm at it, I could bake some cookies and make a cheesecake and..." her voice trailed off once she reached the kitchen where much banging and rattling could be heard.
Yin was slurping down food as if he hadn't eaten in years. He would talk in between bites. "There she goes... she loves baking...pretty good at it too." He thought about Luther's question, "Well... we really don't have a home... even when our mom was alive... we traveled everywhere.... we never stayed in one place for longer than a month... nor were we ever chosen for anything... just came here on our own... me to get stronger... her to make friends." He stopped eating at that sentence, his face turning into a scowl as he thought about Takeshi. "Though now, I wish we continued traveling," he said still scowling.
