Gaia name: Astrenose
Character name: Kyofu Dakureto
Weapon name: Kurai Tsume
Translation: Dark Claws
Weapon Type: Twin Retracting Blades
Weakness: Not effective against armor or heavy weapons.
Weapon Description
General Statistics:Kyofu owns two of the same weapon as they are more effective in a pair. Each weapon is about 3 feet in length when the blade has been retracted and has the appearance of a small staff. When the blade has been extended (via activating the mechanism on the handle), the weapons are 5 feet each.
Poison:The bottom of each weapon's handle has a compartment opening in which Kyofu can insert cartridges of any poison he chooses. The poison is then dispersed to the blade. If he wants to swap poisons, he simply needs to swap cartridges and retract the blade to wipe any of the previous poison off before extending it again.
Combinations:Both sides of either blade are compatible with the same side of the other blade.
Combination 1-Both blade ends (blades retracted) are connected. The weapons then form a normal 6 ft staff. He can place cartridges in either side of the staff to prepare for a battle.
Combination 2-The cartridge holding ends are connected. He cannot place cartridges in them without separating them. Either blade or both blades can be extended.
No blades extended: 6 ft
One blade extended: 8 ft
Both blades extended: 10 ft
Weapon Concealment
Location:Each weapon is concealed within flowing black pieces of fabric tied to Kyofu's shoulders. The cloth hangs just past his finger tips and is about a foot wide when spread out. Each piece consists of two pieces of fabric sown together and made to look like a single piece. The weapon lies between the two pieces.
Mechanism:Holding-Just below the shoulder is a metal ring with a hook. The weapon hangs on the hook and moves freely with the cloth.
Release-A silk strap runs from the metal hook to a ring on Kyofu's thumb. When pulled, the hook releases and allows the weapon to fall out of the cloth where Kyofu catches it. The weapon is set back on the hook by sliding it through the concealed opening in the top of the cloth.
