 Boreal Owl (Aegolius funereus)
Yinzhen (Silver Needle) White Tea

This tiny owl is one of the smallest of its kind and is every bit as smart as his namesake. Strictly nocturnal, he uses his excellent hearing to hunt in the darkness (though he has the odd tendency to stock up food during the winter months).

He'll do anything he can to avoid said problems and will ignore them until something has exploded in his face. It isn't until he's in the midst of a problem that he actually realizes it was even there in the first place. And instead of trying to smooth things out and make them better, Mio flight instinct kicks in and he'll run as far and as fast as he can so as to further avoid actually coming to terms with what's wrong.
Spontaneous: Mio loves surprises. It doesn't matter for who or what, but he likes the aura of mystery that surrounds surprises. He'll never be seeing writing something down or trying to plan things out. He's all to willing to just let things happen, not wanting to be fettered plans and worry if said plans will actually come out the way he wanted them too. He's to busy having fun to want to be concerned over the petty matters of being on time or micro managing everything.
Undying Optimist: If something good will happen, it will. Mio doesn't believe being down in the dumps about life and will always try and look on the bright side of things. He enjoys being happy and doesn't like to be brought down thinking about all the bad things that could happen. This can lead to people finding him borderline irritating because he refuses to even contemplate the downside of things.
Blunt: Mio has no problem telling it like it is. He doesn't saying things to be deliberately cruel, but he doesn't think it's good to keep the truth from people. If asked if you look fat in that dress, he'll tell you exactly what he thinks about it. Better to know than walk around dressed horribly, right? Mio sometimes tries to curb his tongue and say nothing at all, but if asked, a person better be prepared to hear something they don't want to.
Free Spirited: When Mio needs his space, everyone had better just back the heck off. If he wanted to be alone and not talk, he's prone to snapping at others if they invade his solitude. He doesn't like being tied down to things and avoids making promises whenever possible. It's pointless to promise something when he knows something more fun could pop up. Mio is selfish in this way, doing only what he wants when he wants to. It's difficult to pin him down to anything and if a person expects.

Writing: This isn't a hobby so much as it is his job. Templeton is a full time writer for his publishing house and has been for many years. He's most well known for his erotic romance novels, but only because they're the easiest to sell and keep in long running series. His secret passion is detective novels, though he had yet to have any of them accepted for publishing. So, he continues with his day job and dabbles in his own interests at night. He enjoys being a writer and while not rich, he does amass plenty of living funds.
Gardening: Templeton is found of the outdoors, but loathes anything that involves strenuous activity in it. He has strictly confined himself to leisurely walks and tending his garden. He has no interest in vegetables much, but does enjoy reaping the benefits of having fresh herbs and fruit on hand at all time for making his herbal tea and preserves. He sells such things when they're in season, but while not making any kind of profit off them, he does like being able to share his gardening with his neighbors.
Informative Outings: This has to do with Templeton's job as a writer. When he's generating a new idea, he'll often go out and collect information, whether it be pictures of people and things or paper ideas jotted down in a cafe somewhere. He doesn't usually take huge outings when he's starting a story, but he'll sometimes take a trip to a new place if he's particular stumped for an idea.P E R S O N A L I T Y Irritable: Templeton hates being bothered by people. Especially stupid people. He has no time for anyone if he doesn't feel like it. And when he doesn't feel like it, he'd sooner kick a person in the shins than actually stay still enough to listen to what they have to say. This makes Templeton out to be a very independent and stubborn person. He has convinced himself that he doesn't need anyone and that no one needs him. It's almost impossible to get him to do something he doesn't want to. He has to like someone very, very much to actually go out of his way for them. This doesn't mean he isn't kind. He just doesn't let his kindness for others inconvenience himself.
Feisty: Templeton is strongly determined in everything he does. He puts his whole heart things and never gives up. He hates it whenever anyone tells him the odds, because then he'll want to prove them wrong even if he knows he'll probably fail. He always likes to be at his best and this quality is probably what let to his impatience with people. He discovered that he can work and do more quickly if he's on his own. People only ever drag him down (at least in his opinion) and he rather not deal with that. Templeton is definitely not someone who works well with others and it takes time for him acclimate himself in that kind of situation.
Disenchanted:
Lonely: Deep, deep down in the inner depths of Templeton, he's secretly lonely. His indifferent personality doesn't attract many friends and the ones he does have are living their own lives and not needing him around (or at least he feels this way). What makes him angry is that he knows he's purposely isolating himself from others because he doesn't want to be hurt if they don't like him. He also knows that he could be a little more toned down, but why have friends if they don't know who you really are? So far, Templeton has kept to himself, to afraid to branch out and actually create relationships with others.
Giving: Templeton is perfectly willing to do for others, not begrudging them for it or expecting anything else in return. He's gracious to most everyone and tries to avoid fighting openly when possible and takes a more passive aggressive stance when he's truly pissed off. For the most part, Templeton could care less about someone when he's not emotionally invested in then which is part of the reason for his friendly nature. It's so much easier to be nice than mean since he doesn't believe in worrying about people or things that aren't going to have an impact on his life.
