Tremors ripple forth from center-field as the basic floor shifts to a rock and dirt field. Rock towers emerge forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an advantageous attack position. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirs the loose sand on the field, creating a mini sandstorm that reduces visibility.
This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ROCK type attacks.
This field reduces FIRE type attacks by 25 HP.

Ms. Sparkles was greeted by a swirling storm of dust and sand, as she stepped into the stadium. She coughed, and wiped the sand from her face.
"Chromatic, this should be your battle, not mine," she spoke to her Whimsicott, then let her out of the Pokeball.
"We haven't seen this field before," the trainer commented, peering at the tall towers of rock. Just then, the breeze picked up another gust of sand. "Ack! I hate this one!"

Lecila opened the stadium doors to get blasted by sand and dirt from the field.
"Ahhhhck!" Lecila exclaimed. "Stupid rock field! Urgh."
Using her arm to attempt to block the sand from going into her eyes and shirt over her nose, Lecila strolled in quickly to her podium. Once she got there, the sandstorm had minimized. "Thank goodness." Before releasing Kashti, her Dratini from his pokeball.
Kashti appeared onto the field and looked around and hissed a little in distaste. Fortunately, there was a small pool in the center of the field and couldn't wait for the battle to begin so he could get out of this forsaken dry field.

Lecila looked up at the screen where it showed who goes first and her picture was on it with the number 97. Well, it looks like Kashti gets to make the first move. She looked down at Kashti who was already eyeing the Whimsicott for weakness.
"All right, Kashti. Let's start off strong with, Flamethrower!"
Kashti trilled in acknowledgment before taking a deep breath and letting out a blast of flames towards his opponent.

(( Oh man, fixed your Kashti's HP in OP. ))
Chromatic spotted her opponent in the middle of a pond. The Dratini released a stream of fire, but the Whimsicott saw it coming, and dodged before the flame strike.
When the dust passed, Ms. Sparkles called out, "Tickle attack!"
Chromatic charged head on, only to stop when she was near the Dratini, and nudged him with her nose.

Kashti gaped widely as the Whimsicott managed to dodge his attack and somehow managed to get within touching distance of him. Before he could even move, the Whimsicott nudged him with her nose right under his earred-wings and Kashti could not help but giggle.
He cringed away in shock at the undignified noise that came out of him.
Lecila leaned over the railing. "This is no time for fooling around! Ice Beam that Whimsicott!"
Slightle dazed in shock of what happened just a few seconds ago, Kashti charged up an arctic ball of energy in front of his gem on his forehead before it blasted towards the Whimsicott.

Chromatic hopped backwards, avoiding an icy attack.
"Nice save! Poison the Dratini!" called Ms. Sparkles.
The Whimsicott shook her fur, releasing a cloud of poisonous powder that spread quickly when another breeze blew their way.

Lecila saw the poisonous cloud heading their way and shouted. "Dive underwater to avoid it, Kashti!"
Kashti had dived underwater and missed breathing the toxic cloud just in time before resurfacing once the cloud had dissipated. "Good work, Kashti but we need to stop that Whimsicott before it can do any more damage of any kind. Ice Beam again!"
Kashti, once more, sent another freezing beam of energy over at the grass pokemon.

Chromatic dodged another ice attack. She was getting frustrated that her hits weren't making contact.
"Try that poison again!" Ms. Sparkles suggested.
The Whimsicott released another cloud of poison.

What the heck! Why are they always missing!? Lecila frowned darkly. This just means they have to both train harder on aim.
Kashti was thinking along the same lines as Lecila, even though they are not linked mentally as he dodged another poison attack. . This is unacceptable! If he was to be a powerful dragon, he needs to be able to keep up with his opponent's movements.
"Ice Beam again, Kashti! This time hit the target!" Lecila shouted.
Kashti hissed angrily and charged up another Ice Beam. Putting all of his focus on this particular attack, he let it loose at the Whimsicott.

A familiar feeling overcame the Whimsicott. She couldn't move, no matter how hard she tried. Anger grew inside her, but all she could do was stare.
