Bukaera saw a nice healthy gazelle. He was on hunting duty for the Mazunguko lands. He promised to bring home a large feast. So far he wasn't having much luck. Normally he was a great hunter, one who could catch his prey in no time but lately he seemed distracted and he knew what the distraction was.

Recently he joined Mazunguko, the brotherhood. It was a huge change of life for him. He went from being free to going where he wanted and being with whom ever he wanted without worrying about who was around to judge him. But now he had a son to worry about and a pride to take care of. He didn't want to disappoint his friends new friends in the pride.

But for once he wished he could spend a day like he used to. Be free from the burdon of being in a pride. Perhaps today he would have to take a break from hunting and have a day to himself, a day to relax. That would be nice. No son to worry about and no pride to worry about. Just himself to keep him company and any lovely leopard that came around.

He walked away from the gazelle and instead found a nice warm rock to lounge on. Now why wasn't there a rank in the pride where you got to rest all day, he pondered to himself. That would be the perfect job for Bukaera.

It had seemed that Shinrin had lost her way once again; and although no home to return to or stray from, she could scent the slight mixed scents from a pride or pack of some sort, carried by the wind into the lands that she prowled now. Immediately upon scenting such smells, her shy, motherly, and cautious traits caused her to drop down low, belly skimming the ground, as she awaited her other senses to kick in and alert her of any further signs of possible danger. After letting several moments pass her by without any such signs, she slowly crept back upwards, walking onwards in a upward stalking position, still wary of what was surrounding her. Just as she was beginning to unwind, Shinrin's gaze spied upon a resting body, simply relaxing upon a rock. Upon further gazing, she noticed that it was a leopard, and a handsome male one, to add. He seemed harmless enough, and if her simply natural warm, innocent personality wasn't to his social liking, she was more than polite enough to turn away and continue traveling.

Now smiling, she trotted over to the rock with a light-hearted bounce in her step. With every stride, his musky, mixed smell grew more potent in her nostrils, peaking a sense of curiosity that began to churn in her stomach. With so many different unique smells melded into his coat alongside his own, could he possibly belong to a pride of some sort? What an interesting gentleman! And he hadn't needed to even say a word to peak her interest yet! When she reached an appropriate distance, she began to purr in greeting. "Hello there, sir~" She began with a voice low and gentle enough to not startle him, but loud enough for a leopard's sensitive ears to pick up perfectly. "I'm sorry to bother you, but I noticed you relaxing by your lonesome, and you looked kind of lonely so I decided to say hello." Although she continued to stand, she did so calmly and submissively, keeping her head slightly lowered and her tail limp against the ground.

Bukaera opened one of his eyes to see who was talking to him. Once he realized it was a leopardess he opened both eyes and gave her a welcoming smile. "Hello there." He got up and walked closer to her. He took a moment and admired her colors. She was a very lovely leopardess, he thought to himself as he approached her.

"I would be honored to have your company. It's not everyday I get a chance to be with a beautiful leopardess. Usually I'm stuck with lions and such. That's not exactly my piece of meat." He said with a laugh. It was true that Mazunguko had far more lions than he expected, not to mention their king was a lion. He was slowly getting used to it though. As long as they didn't tell him what to do he was happy.

"My name is Bukaera by the way." He introduced with a hint of arrogance. "It's very nice to meet you. Would you like me to catch you a meal?" He didn't mind hunting if it was for a beautiful leopardess. He would hunt later for the pride. Right now the leopardess was his top priority. Plus it would give him a chance to show off his skills.

Oh my, how charming this leopard was! Let alone incredibly handsome as she came to notice when he approached her in return! His sky blue eyes captivated her, causing her to temporarily loose her breath and her heart skip a beat, giving her an odd feeling of which she could do anything just to have his gaze fixed on her. She began to blush at such an odd thought, followed by his kind words that preceded afterward. "Thank you very much for such kind words, sir," she purred, totally in awe of his kindness and his voice. She sat herself down now, feeling more at ease, with her tail politely wrapped around her paws. She even chuckled sweetly along with his light joke, very amused by it and relating to it herself with the amount of creatures she had viewed along her travels.

"Oh, not at all! It's all my pleasure, sir," she briefly responded to him as he spoke of being honored with her company. It truly was hers to have, for she knew that she really wasn't anything special, and this male must be for being able to make her feel so off-guard, so unlike her usual self. She continued to listen to him, purring and flicking her ears in amusement as he spoke. Yet, although arrogance was usually a turn-off for Shinrin in both friendships and, well, interested persons, this time it was somehow very amusing to her ears to hear it ring in his words when he stated his name. "What a lovely name you have, sir! I am named Shinrin, and it is very nice to meet you, too! I just apologize for intruding on your down time that you seemed to be having!" She bowed her head, her face flushing with her feelings of guilt and embarrassment, before raising her head and catching his eye contact once more to respond to him properly. "That wouldn't be necessary, but I truly appreciate you asking! I would hate to be a burden on you!" Her words purred together in a cooing tone, completely genuine as she would feel very guilty for him to do such a generous thing for her.

However, a rare portion of her personality suddenly began to churn deep within her chest, threatening to bubble over and spill words foreign to her heart out of her lips. She tried her best to hold such a part back, but as much as she shuffled her paws around shyly or twitched the tip of her tail, the words seemed to find their way up her throat. "However, if you truly wished to," she began, her eyes batting at him shyly and coyly at the same time, her words lathered in honey and rumbling in her throat in a purr, "I would most definitely be in your debt, and would owe you such a favor." Where those words had formed within her, she did not know, and how she pulled off such a flirtatious attitude was unknown to her, since she was generally such a conservative yet polite, even known to be motherly, type of leopardess.

"Aw you are not intruding at all. On the contrary I was rather bored before you came along." He said truthfully. "You wouldn't be a burdon on me what so ever. I love helping beautiful leopardess'" He admired her coat once more before giving her a beaming smile.

As she spoke he couldn't help but grin wider. She was flirting with him. How cute, he thought as he watched her. He loved when females were flirty. It made them even more easier to get along with. "Let me see what I can catch." He said with a wink. He turned away from her and surved the area.

In the distance he would see a herd of gazelle stood grazing. Silently he stayed close to the ground. He moved gracefully across the grassland until he was close enough to them. Normally he would go after one of the weaker ones, but today he felt like showing off. He saw a strong male and decided on him. He mentally prepared himself before pouncing. He was able to get one strike in before the male ran off. The chase was on.

He knew he couldn't outrun a gazelle, but he might be able to use the landscape around him to his advantage. He chased the gazelle to a near by rock formation and was able to trap the gazelle against the rocks. With a quick slice he was able to kill the prey. Proud of his kill he brought the beast back to Shinrin.

"And here is our feast my lady." He said with a laugh. He panted for a few minutes and felt like he should rest. Resting could wait, he told himself.

Wow, this male was being such an absolute gentleman! And his flirty tone, well, it gave her chills that traveled through her veins and under the layer of her skin of which she had never felt before, especially after watching him hunt the gazelle and seeing how his muscles moved underneath his skin. He was giving her butterflies with the look in his eyes, the way he spoke to her, how nicely he was treating her. And nobody had ever been so kind to her as to not only give such a conversation that he was giving her, as well as offer to either share or get her something to eat. She purred with gratitude and happiness as she flicked her tail around, patiently awaiting the gentleman's return.

"Wow, what a feast this is! Thank you, good sir~! This is greatly appreciated, more than you would know!" she purred, dipping her head briefly in gratitude before she flashed him a beaming, warm smile. She let out a childish giggle for a few seconds because her inner level of happiness was just so great, that it just rose out of her chest and poured through her lips. "And what an excellent catch that was! You have such amazing hunting skills! You should be proud of yourself!"

She gingerly approached the carcass of the gazelle, keeping her eyes on Bukaera the entire time, still slightly shy. The closer she stepped to the male, the faster her heart began to race, making her tail twitch with anxiety for she still had no idea about how in the world she should act with such feelings inside of her. She never felt such a giddy way before, nor had she ever felt this interested in someone in a possibly intimate way before. So as she lay herself on the ground and take her first few bites into her meal, her mind buzzed around with many different kinds of words and sentences that flashed around.

"I was my pleasure to hunt it. For me, hunting releases stress and that short hunt released a lot of stress. Though that also might be because I have wonderful company." He looked at his catch, and started to dig in. It was a pretty good catch. "Thank you. He's the largest I've caught in a very long time. Probably one of my more taster catches."

As he ate, he ate carefully, not wanting to dirty his paws or face. He kept an eye on Shinrin, making sure she was happy. "When I was headed over here, I saw a small stream. If you would like I can show it to you," he offered between bites. "It is a lovely area, and the stream is nice and cool, perfect to dip your head in especially on warm days."

He thought that the area was lovely and thought it would be only right to share it with his beautiful companion. As he traveled, looking for prey he had come a crossed it and rested there for a moment. He wished that there was a stream like it near his home so he didn't have to travel so far for cool water such as that.

For some reason she felt much more comfortable as she ate as soon as he joined her, although she did start to feel a bit more self-conscious. Her motherly side of her wanted to get her to stop eating and fuss over the way he was eating, but as she looked over to him she noticed he was eating very properly and neatly. She still paused from her meal for half of a second, feeling as if she were eating with her long lost brother, her mouth hanging open for a few minutes in a motherly, scolding fashion, but after a few moments she closed it back up with an embarrassed draw back of her ears before starting to enjoy the meal again.

"Oh, I'm sure all of your catches are this delicious~! No need to be so modest! I'm sure you're an excellent hunter, especially after receiving this lovely meal!" she cooed at him, purring at him. He was probably just being nice about it! He must be such an excellent hunter with the muscles she saw as he ran, even as he walked and dragged the gazelle towards her.

"Wow, really? How wonderful!" she said in almost a shrill, yet excited, voice. Part of her naive side of her gave her such reactions as if she were still so very young, in love with the simple joys of the world around her and not afraid of many things at all. All she was focused on was that she was in the company of such a wonderful gentleman, who was being so very kind to her and was more handsome than she deserved to be sharing her presence with. And he was now offering to take her somewhere as lovely as a stream! She absolutely adored streams! "Would you be so kind as to take me there, sir? That would be so perfect! Especially after a meal and on such a hot day as this! It would be great to clean off my paws and have a sip of some nice, cool water~"

Bukaera took a few more bit, before deciding he was done. He would leave the rest for some other animal to eat, once Shinrin was done. He was excited to show her the stream. It had been ages since he had real company. And even longer since he had company as lovely. He wondered if he could stay away from his pride long enough to spend more time with her. It would be terrible if he would have to leave after just meeting her, not to mention rude. He was sure the members of the pride would understand.

He got up when he thought she was finished. "It is one of the prettiest things I have seen since I started traveling. The area is so vibrant with colors. No matter where you look, there is some sort of flower." He said with a grin. He was sure that she would love it. He headed into the forest, going deeper and deeper. Birds chirped overhead, some even looked like they were dancing in the wind.

He managed to find the stream again. It tinkled down a mountain side. There were a few fish in the stream as well. Flowers of all shapes and sizes were scattered. He picked up a pink one with large petals. "I think this one would look good with you." He said, handing it to her.

When Bukaera finally stood from the carcass it seemed as if it were perfect timing, for it was then when Shinrin felt as if she were finally perfectly and utterly contently full. And there was still such a good and decent amount of the carcass left, which only meant that now some other hungry individual would have the chance to have something to eat~ How wonderful that was! Not only had his act of kindness helped her out immensely, but now it would be able to help out someone else, as well! What a wonderful, positive impact on the world this was!

"Wow, can something really be that beautiful? I don't think I've ever seen one particular place with that many flowers in one spot!" she exclaimed, her eyes brightening and her ears perking up. Her paw pads prickled with a new found feeling of excitement, just itching for her to adventure on with this male and discover this mystical seeming stream for herself. And as they even began their travels, the route to get to this stream was mystical in its own way, at least to Shinrin! She absolutely adored the forest, and it both thrilled her and put her at ease every step deeper into it that they traveled in. Everything from the rich smell of foliage to the songs from the birds overhead just felt absolutely magical to her!

And when they finally reached the stream, she felt her breath get stuck within her throat. Such a fantastically beautiful place this was! True to Bukaera's word, there were flowers growing everywhere, and even fish dotted the bottom of the stream in harmony. Her heart began to beat strongly against her ribs as the male approached her once again, bringing her the gift of a beautiful pink flower.

"Oh, no sir, I'm sure you're just saying that," she said to him, flustered, after he gave her the compliment. But even so, she gently took the flower from his mouth, almost as if she were carrying a cub, and gave him a large, beaming smile. "But surely it doesn't look its best just hanging from my mouth!"

Bukaera chuckled. "I agree. It's the mystery of the land," he said quietly, looking around. He say himself down next to the stream and put his paws in the water. Playfully, he began to chase a little fish around. It was a calming place, the smells, the sight, and the company. Especially the company. He loved her reactions to the place.

"I don't usual say things unless they're true," he said with a smile. "I think you're adorable, even with it in your hanging from your mouth. However I think it would be better suited behind your ear. Do you mind if I move it?" After drying his paws off he carefully grabbed it from her and placed it gently behind her ear.

"There! Now that is beautiful. You should see yourself." He gestured toward the stream. Yep, right now he could not go home. He hoped that they wouldn't send a search party. It was just too relaxing being here with Shinrin. As perfect as it could get. He knew that it couldn't last forever. It never seemed to for him. He had a responsibility to his pride and too his son. There was no way he could just ignore it.

He glanced at Shinrin. Though for a little bit he thought he could.

Her attempt to be cute and flirty actually worked! She didn't expect it to, yet at the same time she was only being herself. A giddy, warm feeling bubbled in her chest as he took the flower from her mouth with his claws, feeling him tuck in softly in behind one of her ears. And for a few moments, she thought she had never met anyone who made her feel as happy as this male did, other than her long lost brother. What an excellent creature he was! She felt as if she could travel with him forever!

"Oh, sir - Bukaera - I'm sure it doesn't look so pretty! But if you insist, I would love to see how it looks behind my ear, instead! After you were so kind as to tuck it there, anyway, it would only be fair to see how it looks!" And so she slowly angled her head over the surface of the water, the water being still enough to have a sturdy reflection. Wow! She did look a lot prettier than she expected to, as well as more grown-up than she expected to. Sure she was an adult for the past year and a half or two now, well matured enough and grown, but she didn't expect to look so regal and mature just by putting a simple flower behind her ear. She let another purr rumble in the base of her throat as her tail swished around in the air before turning to gaze deeply at the handsome male with her eyes glittering with happiness.

"You're right, it does look pretty, doesn't it! I think it matches my eyes the most~" she purred, her voice smooth and sweet like honey. "You've been so nice to me since we met! You're more than I could have ever hoped for when it comes to company! And there I was thinking that I would be the one to give you such company, instead!"
