So, I think this is one of the most anticipated games for 3DS. I know I'm really excited about it, and a lot of other people have been talking about it too.

Has there been any date set yet? I heard some people say a date, but when I looked around sites say Gamestop set an imaginary date just to take preorders, but its not a real date. I'm still thinking no way before April.

I also heard that the game is done and has been done, but they're sitting on it to give other games like Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart time to breathe and get more sales. I think Mario Kart has done like crazy good, a pretty high percentage of 3DS owners also have that game. Though will Animal Crossing do even better? Are they going to keep pushing it back for some other big titles to come out first?

I loved playing the series so much, I hope it is soon 3nodding

I really hope by Summer. I'm going to be upset if its not till Fall-Winter. But since this is one of their biggest titles, I'm sure they're planning it carefully for best impact while not taking away from any of their other big titles.

I'm very doubtful of that date as well.
I know it wasn't from official word, but rumors can be leaked.
It gives me a day to look forward to at least. Instead of being completely in the dark.

Nintendo is being retarded with this game. The game is completed, that information has been released. The game is not going to come into USA before it is released in Japan. It could be released in Japan in the summer, and then in the US around September/November (which was about the same time the previous version of Animal Crossing were released).

It's sad that they've been advertising this game PRIOR to the 3DS launch... yet there's nothing about a release date.

I question on why they're holding out, but from my previous experience in games with release dates being pushed back...it's primarily about profit.

What Gamestop is doing is downright wrong. They're mooching extra money early on a game that they know is going to do very, very well, prior to any official release date. I absolutely hate it, but then again, I'm a prime customer of Gamestop. It's a bittersweet relationship.

You can search anything about Animal Crossing 3DS on google, and find screen shots, a trailer, a 10 minute panel discussion, footage, CEO's opinions of the game, ect but nothing on a release date.

They better get to it soon... considering summer is just around the corner. And if Animal Crossing isn't released this summer... I see a lot of people being very upset.

As much as I want this game I completely understand what nintendo is doing. They probably will set the dates to when they will be able to get more profit from it and so it doesn't disrupt any of the other big releases that they're planning. Either way, it will be an awesome game, and even better with the new friend code system, I guess 3nodding

I actually wrote a letter to Nintendo about this, because this is actually a pattern that they've picked up with the 3DS. I told them to reconsider whatever research team they have. I understand that they need to repair from the previous hurt of the 3DS launch, and that at that time they should have considered reconstructing the research team (because that failed, misserably) and now they're pushing back their dates far too long in order to gain a profit? Especially with Animal Crossing. It just does not make sense, at all.

So, hopefully they took my letter into consideration. They are really setting a horrible pattern of releasing footage to "research the hype" without a release date. People can't get very excited over something that's not promised.

It's all illogically planned. Unfortunately, I like their material too much to give up on them. But if Microsoft or Sony pulled this crap without release dates, I'd trade in my PS3 and Xbox in a heartbeat.

Nintendo is luck it has such loyal customers. And they're absuing that!
