Age: 17 (though her parts are, in some cases, much older.)

Faction: Undead
Race: Patchwork

Natural Ability: Interchangeable Parts -- Patchworks can function with their limbs interchanged, heads popped off, so on so forth. Their soul is bound to their patched up body by a strong magic.


Personality: Entitled -- In her early days, while her Creator spent time teaching her how to do simple things like read and write and speak, she was spoiled. He wanted her to like him, and in that aspect, the plan worked perfectly. But as time went on, he realized it worked a little too well. Steffani has a sense of entitlement that might be typical with most teenagers; they want something, so obviously they should have it. She can occasionally be childish in this respect, but mostly she just doesn't see the point in doing something unless she's getting something in return. It's part of the reason she was sent to the school; her sense of entitlement outshines her sense of obedience to her Creator. On the positive side, if someone does offer her something in return (usually clothes, or a trip to the maul), she can be coerced into doing something for someone else. But she's no fool; whatever she's getting better be worth the labor.

Childish -- She's a kid. Still relatively new to everthing. So of course she's not entirely mature. She can be mature when she has to be, sure! ...but more often than not... She's not. She can throw temper tantrums if she's pushed. She hates losing anything, so the tantrums can be something from losing a favorite purse to losing a battle. In the beginning, this is a huge problem, and another reason she's being sent to Amityville, to fix this.

Confident -- This is a doublesided sword. On one hand, confidence is always a good thing; she was built in mind of being a servant and a companion, and while timid obedience is nice, confident obedience is nicer. But this confidence could be taken as stuck-up. She's sure of herself in most situations, and even in the ones she's not, she has a high enough opinion of herself that she'll fake it. When her confidence is shaken, she reverts to her childish state of mind. Luckily, that doesn't happen to often.

Friendly -- There are two sides of Steffani's friendship: The 'Friendship Because It's Useful' side, and the 'Friendship Because I like You' side. It's a lot easier to get onto the useful half of the fence than the like-you side. Steffi is not entirely about friendships that are self-serving; she likes getting things, and that's an easy way to get things! However, there are opportunities for friends who pass the threshold of loyalty, and those are people she genuinely likes. Her Creator falls into this category as a default. With people who she considers friends, she's typically a nice person in private. Her standard face is an aloof one, but once she's with her friends, it melts away. However, be warned; she will consider very few friends if they don't have something to offer.

Loyal -- There's a certain threshold with Steffi between Acquaintence and Friend. But once it's passed, Steffani is unflinchingly loyal to the point of, in some cases, serious stubbornness. This loyalty is a hard thing to achieve, however, and even harder to shake. In her most basic of instincts, Steffi wants to trust people, so once they have her loyalty... They might be capable of just about anything without shaking it. Even murder. ...well, maybe murder.

Resourceful -- Given the nature of her type of Undead, Steffani's resourcefulness is especially handy when, you know... A hand comes off. Her Creator tried to make sure she was perfect in every aspect for him, but he was by no means a tailor, so it's not entirely uncommon for Steffi's stitches to come undone. She's learned fairly quickly how to resew a limb on, and it's gone on to a sort of resourcefulness in other aspects; she's good at fixing things, when she has the motivation to do so. She gets into certain moods where she'll work for hours on end at something just to keep herself occupied. This'll become more and more relevant as she grows older; for now, it's a passing phase that comes and goes.


Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? The whole point of being a Patchwork is to be a minion or servant. Obedient to a fault, reliable, et cetera. That's... nnnot really something she excels at.. She's not obedient, she's only reliable half of the time, and she hates to do anything remotely resembling chores or work. Part of the blame can be laid at the feet of her creator, who spoiled her in the early years so she would like him, but it's backfired terribly. When he needs her to be reliable and obedient, to help him with his experiments, she's often either gone to shop at the maul or holed up in her room with a new album. Typical teenager, certainly, but not a typical Patchwork. Amityville Academy will, hopefully, give her some sense of what she's supposed to do and not just what she wants to do.

FEAR Ability: Like, are you SERIOUS?!
Steffani's move is in the category of The Eye. While in battle, if she gets to the point where her back is against the wall, Steffi will unleash a terrifying scream that, really, shouldn't be possible out of those lungs. The scream is most effective to distract and jar the opponent, thus giving Steffani more of a chance at landing an attack. To be perfectly honest, the scream right now is effective only part of the time, and if it does manage to strike, that doesn't gaurentee she'll be able to land an attack afterward. The scream is something of a bratty defense when she's stuck in a corner, but it's effective. ...Ssssometimes.

Physical Description:

Eye Colour: Icy blue.
Hair Colour/Style: Black, pin-straight.
Skin Colour: Green. Although, interestingly, there's a variation across her abdomen because her creator couldn't find a matching stretch of skin, so about half of her stomach is a darker green than the rest of her.
Clothing Style/Colours: A preferred outfit is black tights and a long striped sweater; there are variations of this in color, but mostly she sticks with what she knows works! She always, always has a purse on her. In fact, a great deal of her wardrobe is purses. Black, red, purple, green, striped, spotted... She has a thing for purses, and likes to stuff as much into them as she can manage.
Extra: Currently, her left ear has six piercings. She's thinking about swapping it out for a new one, but she sort of likes it. Most of the piercings are studs, unless it's a special occasion, then she might wear a hoop in the bottom lobe. Otherwise, studs are neat and effective.

Oh look, what was that buried under the giant pile of cleaning bills? An Amityville application form? If Jim the gnome could tsk-tsk at Arel he would have. Tsk-tsk. Instead, he simply pulled it out and fed it to the Acceptance Bin.
