I know that if you plan on buying essential oil, it can cost quite a bit for a small bottle. So I figured, why not make my own? From what I found online though, I either said to have/make a distiller, or to basically soak the herb/plant/flower/etc in oil.
I was wondering if there's anyway I can make/produce my own essential oil at home without having/needing either of those, especially the distiller. I have a decent amount of dragon's blood, and wanted to collect the oil from the plant.

Without a distiller, the best you can hope for is an infusion or paste. To genuinely distill the essential oil out of a plant is a lengthy, complicated process which can get quite pricey - hence why genuine essential oils are so expensive. Not to mention that it takes a huge amount of plant material to distill even the smallest amounts of eo. A very small bottle of rose essential oil can sell for theoretically hundreds of dollars, which is why it is much more likely that you'll find an infusion of rose than a real essential oil.
That doesn't mean you can't create your own infusion... Which is what you would be doing if you soaked the plant in oil. I would use a very neutral oil, maybe evoo or almond oil, though regular old canola oil would be ok too. Obviously, you'll need to be careful about allergies, and I would consider what exactly you want the infusion to be used for before you make it.
