..................Hello and welcome to the housing of Sharur! A few things to understand before you get started:≫----> This is a journal and intended as a record of events. Please do not post here; if you need to contact me, feel free to PM me.≫----> Obligatory mention of the Daisy Code: It is full of very wise concepts.≫----> Please keep OOC and IC separate. If I do something IC that disturbs you OOC, come and talk to me and we might be able to work something out.≫----> All art belongs to their respective artists. Ivynian owns the art of Sharur and the overall ideas of Edelsteine. Vesale owns the banner design. I own the characters of Sharur and Isaac, plus anything else that I write.

Deity (banner goes here)
Name: Sharur Domain: Hunt Gender: Female
Appearance: She's a gemstone with a drop-brilliant cut in a scintillating orange-to-red tint, with a white radiance at her core.
Personality: While Eamnonn is the hunt of the wild, Sharur is the hunt of the people. She isn't the give-and-take of predation, in which the pursuer will inevitably become the pursued - she is the mastery of prey and the seizing of dominion over territory. This is most evident in her hunting style: she elaborately plans out strategies for her chosen target before bringing them down, usually through ambush tactics, and harvesting trophies to add to her prominently-displayed collection.
Sharur is confident to the point of arrogance and has overweening pride in her skills. This shows itself in condescension rather than anger; she's quite willing to answer any challenges with extensive demonstrations. She exhibits a warm, genial attitude and a dry sense of humor. This isn't a lie, but Sharur controls her external appearance well as she knows that the slightest tell can alert a predator. She's extremely reluctant to show weakness and hates to admit failure. She prides herself on self-reliance. She can also be possessive of things and people she considers her property, and has a bloodthirsty streak. She places a high value on cunning, prowess, independence and audacity in both herself and others.

Host
Name: Isaac Dausat Gender: Male Species: Human Age: 37 Appearance: Isaac stands at 5'4" and has a sturdy build - he makes sure to keep in shape even when confined in tight quarters. He has medium-dark skin, purple eyes, and black hair that he keeps neatly trimmed at chin length along with a small goatee. His face has become prematurely lined, and there are faint scar lines along his cheeks and jaws, radiating from the center of his head.
In private he prefers to wear the most casual of clothes (sweatpants and undershirt) but when expecting company or going out in public he usually wears utilitarian if boring trousers and dress shirts (business casual). Usually he wears long sleeves to hide the scars that cross his body. His eyes are usually warm and filled with amusement.
Personality: Isaac is a friendly guy. He likes people, in particular making people smile. He has a self-deprecating air and a willingness to make a fool out of himself if it accomplishes his goal (which is often having fun). His temper is quick to ignite but quick to burn out. He has a certain inattentiveness with things he doesn't care about and a tendency to keep his cards close to his chest, but is generally well-intentioned.
However, while he enjoys superficially relating to others and making them happy, he avoids making any deep connections. He refuses to be introspective and distances himself from his emotions, keeping himself busy and distracted with whatever he can. He avoids situations in which he would be expected to take responsibility for anyone other than himself, and has taught himself to run at signs of serious danger.
History: If you ask Isaac about his life he'll say he's a trecker - a spacer who's never had place to call home, who lives out of his personal ship, and who travels where his engines happen to take him.
This is not, strictly speaking, true.
The people of Toci had expanded beyond their home planet to the rest of their solar system and beyond. Isaac was only the second generation of settlers who could freely walk in the open air on Neithat, a Mars-like body that had been terraformed into bare-bones hospitality. His father was a grim man who tried to instill duty and honor into his three sons, while his mother encouraged them to develop along their own lines (like she would with the young AIs she created). Colony life, despite the advances in Neithat's climate and the sophisticated technology available, remained insular; so while the eldest son moved to another colony to study medicine and the youngest son joined the merchant fleet among the stars, Isaac stayed behind to follow his father's footsteps into atmospheric control. He learned to operate the probes that monitored the sky's composition and the facilities that released gases and vapors as appropriate.
At the age of 24 Isaac had developed a place for himself in the 20,000-strong base. He was a sub-director of an atmospheric factory, developing skills in machinery and piloting, a part of the bar-hopping crowd, and in a relationship with one Nami Veswor.
But that all changed when the Sopetu Dominion attacked. Isaac had rejected a lot of his father's teachings, but one thing he kept was pride and ownership in the planet he helped transform. He signed up for the Interplanetary Defense Force and became a recon-light assault pilot. He became an expert at maneuvering his ship through enemy fire, delivering precision laser fire to vulnerable targets, crossing enemy-held territory undetected and tuning out the screams that came over the ansible.
The war lasted eight years. The people of Toci lost. Their enemies wiped their solar system from existence.
Isaac has spent the last five years traveling further and further from the remaining debris cloud, taking whatever odd jobs that won't ask him for a long-term commitment (mostly mining and mechanical work). He has a one-person shuttle that's heavily scarred and many replaced parts. It's just him and the ship's AI, Asima. It doesn't really matter what he does with his life, he thinks, or the people he leaves behind when he moves on - all that matters is that he keeps on running. If he goes fast and far enough he can outrun his ghosts.

≫----►Asima: Asima was the companion to Isaac's recon vessel, and he took it with him after abandoning his ship for the first time through extracting the neurobox, the "brain" of an AI. Asima prefers to manifest herself as a crystal with kaleidoscope colors when communicating visually but will switch to a human form if it's required, that of a small woman with dark, almond-shaped eyes and curly black hair. She has a meticulous and observant nature with a quiet, understated humor, much like her creator, Dr. Veswor - after all, AIs have to be expanded on an existing neural framework, and it's common for scientists to use their own. Asima can only control the technology with which her neurobox is connected. Currently that means the ship, which is busted up and not leaving port any time soon. However, she can also communicate through ansible and radio. If he's either expecting trouble or going to be away from the ship a long time, Isaac will carry a headset transceiver to stay in contact.
