And I've got gaian's telling me that my members are spamming them with guild advertisments, when it's actually this other guild who I think are doing a big referal contest? I don't know how to stop it from ruining our reputation sad

I don't think that would work, as the owner of the guild stole that guild off me sweatdrop Which is probably why people get mistaken, cos my threads to set up the guild etc. are all under my username and our guild names are similar. I don't want to have to change this guild name though sad

It's one of those things that happen, and there really isn't anything you can do. I suppose you could mention it to the other owner because diplomacy never hurts, but considering the drama before, it's probably best to just calmly explain that it's not your guild that is advertising and explain that they are just two guilds with similar interest.
I might get some comments for this, but I also don't think it's productive to continue talking about the whole drama thing, especially with people it didn't involve. That just seems like it could stir up the drama again. Just my two cents.

That is what I'm doing. But I'm also getting told my members are spamming their PM's and I don't want my members to get that reputation when it isn't even them xD I don't wish to bring all the drama up, I was just saying why I can't really talk to her about it. I know it would be a lost cause, and I don't think anything will come from contacting her. But I just didn't know if anyone else had any ideas of showing we are different guilds? Also - Nice to see you here Jessa, wondered where you had gone! sad

I tend to forget about guilds... sweatdrop
Most of my time on Gaia is in RPs. lol
Anyways, I know things are hard between the two, so I guess the only thing that could be done is to either mention in the home page that there are two guilds that have similar names and that you're not affiliated with the other anymore.
However, I think the contest is ending soon, so it shouldn't be an issue much longer. lol

lol, I try to remember to stop in every now and then to all of my guilds, but some of them are dead, so I tend to think of all of them as dead. xD
