Tien was hoping to go visit with Tian Yue; the only time she had seen him since she woke with him at her bedside after Gehenna was at the ceremony to relight the sky. He was one of the Councillors now and no doubt busy but surely he had time for a small break, just to have a coffee or tea with a friend right? That was what she hoped anyway. It would give them time to talk and work a little toward that proposal she had made last time that he found agreeable.
Her feet walked the path to the Dragon King's rooms almost without thought and before she knew it she stood before his door and she suddenly felt nervous. Its just Tian Yue. Nothing to be scared of. The Goddess took a deep breath, shifting the strap of the small bag she carried onto her shoulder before running her fingers through her hair and fiddling with her tatted mask until the feeling of butterflies in her stomach passed.
Once she was sure the nervous look was gone from her face she raised her hand and knocked on the door. Kaulu slithered out of the bag on her shoulder, winding her way up her mistress' outstretched arm, perhaps offering support in her own way.

An Aoide opened the door a few moments after her knock - not familiar Toki, but a goat-like woman who bowed after a quick glance, sizing up the visitor in an instant. "How can I assist you, my Lady? Be welcome to the home of Tien Lung." It was clear from the polite, neutral tone of voice and look on her face that she did not know her visitor, other than that said visitor was divine.

"Ah." Trickery was a little surprised when it wasn't Toki who answered the door. This one is new. She reminds me of Gul a little. "Hello, I don't believe we've met. I'm Tien." She smiled impishly and shifted the small bag to the other shoulder. "I'm was hoping to see your Lord, Tian Yue, for a little while. Would he happen to be available?" Her head tilted a little hoping to be able to peek past the aoide and perhaps spot a familiar face.

"Ah, Lady Trickery." Xing Yun bowed, seemingly unsurprised by the revelation of the goddess' name, though there was a faint flicker of curiosity in her gaze as she rose once more. "He is within, scaled. I will take you to him, if you would follow me..."
The Aoide led the way down a small hallway. Tien Lung's chambers were much changed from their original form, from anything Tien or her host would have seen. Creation's return had restored the Pantheon to its original willing malleability, and the Dragon King had taken full advantage of that. An archway opened up onto a massive space, a bright dome held up by arches - massive enough to comfortably contain the enormous mass of purple dragon currently within.
Tian Yue had his head down, forelegs tucked neatly under his body as the tip of his tail swayed back and forth idly. A familiar girl with bright red hair was in front of him, rocking back on her heels as she regaled the Dragon King with a story. The rapport between girl and god was apparent just from their body language.
Xing Yun cleared her throat. "My Lord, Priestess - the Lady Trickery is here, if it please you."
Immediately, the huge head swung Tien's way. "Tien," Tian Yue said, surprise evident in his voice. "It has been a long time... please, come. Sit with me. Penny, if you don't mind...?
The red-haired girl shook her head. "Of course not, my Lord. I'll tell the others, and they'll bring back their reports in a weeks time." She bowed, a bright, easy smile on her face, then bowed again to Tien before following Xing Yun out.

Tien followed after this new aoide, taking in the changes to the place. It was quite lovely and it certainly suited him better than the smaller rooms had. She waited quietly to be announced, her smile brightening at the surprise in his voice. Hopefully that meant it was a good surprise.
Priestess. Penny. The Dragon had mentioned this girl to Morgan once, but she couldn't remember if the two had ever actually met. None the less it was information worth filing away for later. She nodded to Penny and listened to the young woman's retreating footsteps, waiting until they were gone before speaking. "Too long, definitely. I thought I'd come and visit to share a few things I've gotten you might appreciate." She made a motion to the bag on her shoulder. "Hopefully I didn't pick a bad time."
Trickery felt a bit more at ease now than when she had been standing in front of the door debating whether to knock or chicken out and try again another day. Tien wasn't sure whether it was the Dragon's power or simply his presense that helped relax her. She reached up, undoing the cord that held her tatted mask in place and slid it off her face, tucking it into a belt pouch. She didn't feel right wearing it in front of him. "Much better."

"I can only think of a few situations that would constitute a 'bad time', and none of them are like to occur any time soon, Crown willing. Forgive the scales - they are most comfortable, and being skinned too much.... chafes." The Dragon King tossed his head cheerfully, his mane rippling with the movement. He was definitely more draconic now, as full deity, than he had been previously.
He did, however, tilt his head to one side at the removal of the mask. "I feel honored," he remarked. "Sit, please; you need not stand on any sort of ceremony. We are equals." Even if he wasn't quite sure how he felt about Trickery, even now... he did not hate or even dislike her, far from it, but he could still see the faintest flickers of her in the goddess' movement... a faintness that awoke tiny answering flickers in his own mind.

"I don't blame you, I wouldn't want to deal with formal robes and those shoulder spikes either." Tien was clearly amused at some memory of an awkward 'younger' Dragon King. She found a spot to settle herself where he would still be able to see her and got comfortable; sitting cross legged, elbow against her knee and chin resting on the heel of her hand.
"Hiding one's face is generally a sign that they aren't to be trusted. Wouldn't want you to get that idea about little old me." A serious statement covered by a cheeky grin and giggling. Mutual trust would go a long way toward easing the situation between the two of them, at least she thought so. She relaxed after a few moments, though the smile still remained. "So tell me how things have been since we saw each other last?"

Tian Yue made a face, though given that his face was currently draconic it had a number of sharp, pointy teeth involved. "Indeed. Toki is constantly stitching and making new robes to replace the ones I impale or burst out of when shifting. Fortunately, he likes that sort of work..." He shook his head, amused.
"How things... have been." He tilted his head to one side, thoughtfully. "Busy, primarily, with the business of the Council, not to mention the restoration of the sky and the duties of a Dragon King. My people in the Cosmodrome are all clamoring for attention - there are ships to be rechristened and relaunched, babies to bless, all that sort of thing. The activities of abundance. A happy change from the past, but it all takes time. How can we, who have infinite time, be so rushed?"

"Tends to happen when you have to run on a mortal's schedule, for some things at least. They run out of time in a day so quickly sometimes. I envy you a little for being able to be busy. I spend more time than I would like being idle." To Tien it was preferable to be out, possibly getting into trouble, to sitting there idle and bored. "I'm sure your folk appreciate what you do though, if that little priestess of yours is any indication."
Trickery stayed quiet for a little while, watching him and toying with whether to ask a question or not. Eventually she decided. "It may seem an odd thing, but can I touch your scales?" The question was a bit of nagging curiosity, coupled with other things. If she knew where she should with him she would've just done it without asking, even if it was just to provoke a reaction, but it seemed safer to be polite for now.

"Penny? Ah, yes... somehow she became High Priestess, though she doesn't much care for the title. Toki will do his best to pin it on her, though, no matter what Penny herself thinks." Tian Yue shook his head with a wry snort.
He stilled at her next question. "Ah... I suppose?" he said, taken aback. He shifted one forepaw forward with care, so as not to knock her over by mistake. "I don't suppose they feel much different from any other scale. Larger, perhaps. More... divine. Things like that."
.... He was babbling.

Tien nodded and giggled a bit at his reaction. Still so easy to set him off balance. "I'm allowed to be curious aren't I? I've never laid eyes on a dragon, much less one of the Kings before this life. Didn't make it a habit to cause trouble for things that could eat me whole if they were of a mind to." She reached out and touched the offered forepaw, fingertips gently tracing part of the pattern of his scales.
After a few moments she stopped, simply letting her hand rest against his paw and looked up at him, smiling. "Thank you, for indulging my curiosity."
Suddenly that smile turned into an expression one of mild embarrassment. "Silly me, already forgetting why it is I came to visit in the first place. I brought some things from the market I thought you might like." She motioned to the bag currently resting on the floor. "Tea, of course, some peculiar sweets and Gul actually found a tin of coffee, if you can believe it."

"What, never?" Tian Yue tilted his head to one side once more. "Did you not come to the Old Pantheon often? Surely you saw at least one of us, myself or one of my brothers... at least Yu Five Claws, who is nearly always in the Twin Crown's presence. Perhaps you have and simply forgot?"
Apparently, the Dragon King was so aghast at the thought of another god never seeing one of his kind before that everything else became secondary. After a moment, though, he relaxed a bit and inhaled appreciatively over the bag. "Ahh... that smells lovely... mostly." Something in there had a weird tang to it, possibly one of the 'peculiar sweets'. "But your portions are far too small. I could eat the entire bag and barely taste it," he said, with a sigh. There was a playful twinkle in his eye, though.

"No, I don't think I ventured there often. So if I have seen one of you its definitely on the list of things I've forgotten." Tien was thankful since most of that list seemed to be things of little consequence that could be sought out again in this lifetime. "But its remedied at least in part now, since I've seen you."
She giggled, watching his expression. "I imagine what you could taste from it wouldn't be pleasant all together like that either."

"A Dragon King in scales is a sight worth seeing. On that, we are most definitely agreed... but I fear I'll have to put said scales away to indulge in your gifts." Tian Yue cleared his throat, a bit awkwardly. "If you wouldn't mind turning your back for a moment? Transformation is a bit... a bit private, I suppose. Then, we shall have tea. Or coffee. Or both."

"Still as bashful as ever, I see." Despite the gentle teasing she still did as asked, turning her back and resisting the temptation to peek.
