Forest Field: Thick trees, some small while others greatly exceed double your own height, sprout at random places throughout the field. Giant roots provide easy excuses for pokemon to trip if they do not watch where they are going. Spacing between the trunks vary, making passage difficult for those on the ground and in the air. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to BUG and GRASS type attacks.This field also reduces damage from FLYING type attacks by 25 HP.

"Oh no, not this field again!" Zinnia complained. "Okay, Shadow, this time, make sure that I can see you, okay?"
Shadow nodded and flew out to her place on the field. She tried to peer through the trees, but there was no clear view of the other end of the stadium. Still, she had a feeling she might see a familiar face...

"Another nice day for battling, right Chromatic?" Ms. Sparkles spoke to her Whimsicott that was still in her Pokeball.
"Though, I do wonder if they have different fields in this stadium." The trainer commented, as she saw the familiar forest in front of her. "Well, it suits us more the better! Come on, Chromatic!" She released her Pokemon from the Pokeball.
Chromatic paused, taking a whiff of the air, then pawed at the ground with her hoof like a charging bull-- or ewe, in her case. She had recognized the scent of her opponent before she saw her. Without warning, she dashed into the forest.
"What's the matter? Why are you so worked up?" Ms. Sparkles was a bit worried.

There, she saw her opponent. Chromatic started off strong by charging into the Mew, never breaking her speed. She wanted the advantage of having the first attack.
Ms. Sparkles rushed to see where Chromatic had run off to. Did she recognize something that was in the field?
"Ahhh, wait for me!" cried Ms. Sparkles. That Whimsicott of hers was always charging head first into everything... literally.

"Ah!" Zinnia said in surprise when a pokemon suddenly appeared and attacked her mew. "Ice Beam!"
Shadow winced. So it was the same opponent as last time. She had been defeated by the grass pokemon in the previous battle... She wasn't one to hold grudges, but the fact that she had lost made her feel all the more wary for the coming battle. She lifted a paw and send a blast of freezing cold energy at Chromatic.

One second she was triumphant that she got the first hit in, the next-- she was blasting with something cold, and couldn't move anything.
"I told you to wait! Now look, you're frozen." Ms. Sparkles sighed.
"Well, I can't do anything to help you. No matter how long you throw those pleading eyes at me." She shrugged.

"Nice job, Shadow!" Zinnia exclaimed. "Now get her with an X-scissor!"
Shadow Mew flew over the frozen pokemon and crossed her paws in front of her. She quickly slashed Chromatic with the claws in both paws, making an X-formation in the attack.

It was the worst feeling in the world to be attacked, and not being able to do anything. This angered Chromatic even more. She struggled to move her limbs. They gave a slight twitch. A little more...

"Again!"
Shadow could see that Chromatic was starting to wiggle a bit, and knew that the ice was about to wear off. She didn't really want to get close to the angered pokemon. Still she soared at her quickly before the ice wore off completely and executed the siccor-like attack.

Success! Chromatic broke out of her icy tomb, but not before taking a huge hit from another attack.
"Great job, Chromatic! Now, we can get back to the battle at hand. Use Absorb!" Ms. Sparkles commanded.
Chromatic gathered a healing light around herself, absorbing the Mew's energy.

The new tactics of close-quarters combat seemed to be working well enough, so Shadow didn't complain. She felt some of her strength get stolen away, but she swiped her claws at Chromatic again without hesitation.

Chromatic dodged the claws. She couldn't afford another of those bug attacks.
"Seed her!" Ms. Sparkles called out.
The Whimsicott planted a seed on the Mew to leech her health.

Shadow tried to shake the seeds off, but they clung to her fur stubbornly. Annoying hindrance! She slashed Chromatic again. She didn't want to lose again.
