Cassial pawed the ground with her hoof agitatedly. It was well into mid afternoon and she was by all rights bored. She was beyond bored actually and she couldn’t find her… brother. Yes that was what she would go with for now because he certainly wasn’t her mother or her father but he had been her predominate caregiver for some time now. Yet he wasn’t around at this moment either and it left her in a state of annoyance.

She pranced agitatedly around the little clearing before stopping and flicking her little tail. She had to find something to do someone to bother or something before she lost her wits. It wasn’t that she couldn’t entertain herself and it wasn’t like she shouldn’t be off looking for her actual parents. Yet, still, she was more in a playful mood at the moment. She could halt her adventure long enough to play a little game… right? Of course she could she gave a little whinny and started off to go find someone to bother.

It was a pity she didn’t have many friends, she hadn’t really met many on her little adventures and it was starting to worry her. She honestly was beginning to wonder if there was anyone of interest out there at all. She trotted through the long grass it brushing against her legs as she did so. She wasn’t in any rush or any big hurry because it was such a nice day and as such why would she want to destroy the peace.

At least, she didn’t want to until she found some poor innocent sap to torment. It wasn’t that she was a bad person per say she just… had a bad habit of pushing people’s buttons and setting them off. Or the even worse habit of finding trouble for herself and whoever she was with at the time. Really it was most amazing she wasn’t six feet under by now. She just had a way of finding trouble even when she wasn’t meaning to.

She shook her head mane flying about as she did so. Well nothing to worry about now right? This was a fairly safe area or at least she assumed it was as she had been raised near here and nothing had ever jumped out and grabbed her… of course the fact that Abbadon wouldn’t have ever let that happen seemed lost on her at the moment.

She was so lost in her thoughts she didn’t notice the large log across the path and thus by the time she did notice it, it was too late. She went skidding down the hill somehow managing to make it out the other side as the log bounced harmlessly over her head. “Well then… that was interesting.”

User ImageBlair had meandered alongside the riverbed for a larger portion of his day. There wasn't much else for him to do on the days when his mother was busy with her friend and that was almost every day in fact. So, he wandered down this side of the river often. He had become of the opinion that there was equally as much nothing to do here as there was with his mother at the moment, but the sound was soothing and the quiet gave him some time to think about anything that flitted into his head. He enjoyed that actually, seeing as when he was with his mother she was constantly talking. Not to get him wrong, he enjoyed her talking a whole lot, but it gave him very little quiet to contemplate anything.

As he wandered he would occasionally pause and dig his hooves into the soft earth near the water's edge, to look for anything that could be considered interesting there and once nothing surfaced, he would move on further down the bed. For as long as he could recall he had wandered here and still not found anything that he could consider unusual, save for maybe coming across a stray Soquili. But those were few and far between almost always. He had also played a lot as a child with his brother and his "uncle" down here. They never saw very much in those instances either. Everything Blair had ever seen in his whole life was pretty much along this river side and none of it had ever been remarkable.

The stallion continued along in a daze, not truly seeing what he was looking at as he walked. "I wonder…" Blair murmured to himself as he trotted along. "If I shall ever find anything more than rocks, fish bones and a sun shifts worth of company along this riverbed." The thought of finding something more was appealing to him, though he hadn’t the slightest idea of what it was that he would have wanted to find, the thought of finding something was still better than the nothing he had found. A large, loud splash broke through his train of thought; the stallion jumped as a rather large log bounced into the river and he could only stare as the log settled to the shallows and refused to move an inch.

Slowly he moved his head up to face the direction that the log had tried to assault him from and laid eyes on rare sight. There in front of him, on the other side of the river was another Soquili with brightly colored feathers in her hair. He tossed his mane in apprehension. The last time he had seen another Soquili alongside this river had been quite some time ago and they had been too nervous to stick around for long. "Excuse me… but… did you just throw that log at me?" It was the only thing that he could think to say since a log had come practically hurled itself at him from that side and now there was a mare on the side that done it.
