As each Lunarian grows older and reaches a certain point in their lives, the magic that all
Lunarians have - whether dormant or active - stirs within them, their life force communing and
merging together with the spiritual energy of their star in Lunaria's sky. It is at this time that their
physical bodies begin to change; a process that can be somewhat abrupt. This is not a slow-
progressing change that occurs over time, but rather a one-time occurrence; however, it takes
several hours to complete.
A Lunarian's magic colliding with the magic of the stars can be very painful, depending on the
physical stamina of the Lunarian. Tenryujin still maintain their humanoid bodies; their arms and
legs are as they ever were, but they begin to shift; the scales, minimal during the first part of
their life, expand to cover much more skin. Horns and dragon-like spikes can appear along the
head, shoulders, arms, and back, and amphibian / dragon-like tails can appear as well. It is
important to remember that no Tenryujin will look exactly the same as another; each is
unique in their own way. Where one might have curled horns, another might have straight ones.
Once the process is complete, and both of the magics have merged and settled, a Lunarian's
mind becomes much sharper, their own magic abilities having increased significantly due to this
transition. Tenryujin are extremely intelligent, capable, and physically adept people; at this
stage in their life, they are at their peak when it comes to abilities.
Not every Lunarian will become a Tenryujin; some have chosen not to, stopping the change as it
happens by repeating a few well-chosen rites of magic or prayers to the goddess Lunaria. This
is not to imply that they are lesser people than Tenryujin; they simply do not wish to take on that
sort of responsibility. The Tenryujin are nearly revered; they are entrusted with the protection of
Lunaria, regardless of their alliance, and each take their duties with caution. However, they are
still at war with one another, as the Noble Tenryujin still maintain their beliefs just as the Legion
do.
