Name: Flannery Spicer
User Image
Nicknames: Red.

Age: 21 (17 at creation)

Birthday: April 7th

Sign: Aries

Gemstone: Diamond

Blood Type: B+

Fav. Food: Curry. All kinds of curry, really, with all kinds of food. Curried lamb, curried chicken, curried rice, curried vegetables, whatever. They all have that awesome spicy zing.

Hated Food: If there is something blander and less foodlike than cucumber sandwiches, Flannery would prefer not to know about it, much less taste it.

School: Horizon Institute of Technology and Science, previously Meadowview

Hobbies:
Singing to herself in the mirror (while posing) -- Flannery enjoys acting, although strictly as a hobby. Showing off in front of a crowd appeals to her, and the physicality of being on stage as a ~*dashing hero*~ (Flannery considers unnecessary punctuation terribly important) is thrilling. She gets to live out her fantasies and get applause for it! When not acting in Meadowview's plays and musicals, she spends her time singing to and posing in front of her full-length mirror. She tends to sing Oh, Better Far to Live and Die more often than not, as it's sung by her dream role. It's unlikely she'll ever get it, though; Flannery does have a good singing voice, but she's still a girl. And the Pirate King is not a girl. sad

All in her head -- In Flannery’s daydreams, she lives out her ideal life. Her mental life is fairly colorful, and she has a smattering of casual hobbies related to her goals in life, namely being a pirate king. She often has a piece of string or several with her to practice sailors' knots, despite the fact that she is not a sailor, probably never will be a sailor, and cannot swim for the life of her. When Flannery's knotting, her mind is usually in the clouds, and sometimes she even writes these fantasies down just to stay with them a little longer. She'd be happy to show them to you, but she has learned over the years that most people really don't care. But Flannery doesn't really mind, because she loves her fantasies anyway. Her writing is pretty terrible, since she's only writing it for her own pleasure. But she doesn’t care about that, either.

Archery -- Flannery likes archery because it looks awesome and makes her look awesome, despite it not strictly relating to her general goal of living her fantasies. Unlike most things she does, it requires her to be completely focused on a simple, immediate task, and for Flannery, that’s pretty good exercise for her brain. And she looks awesome doing it, which is more important to her than it probably should be.

Virtues:

What is buried below? -- Not only is Flannery curious, but she loves being curious. When she was younger, she'd frequently decide to investigate strange rocks and trees and bugs. Occasionally she'd investigate other things, like the popular kid's secret stash of Pokémon cards. (She might've taken a few for "memories" and also because it wasn't like he'd admit to having any, much less that he was missing a few.) Flannery pursues her goals with the same intensity still, but the lack of a prize for doing her homework can get to her sometimes. She misses getting gold stars for her efforts.

There’s an open sky and a steady breeze -- Flannery is also an optimist. Not just any optimist, of course, but a gold star optimist. Every day is the best day for whatever activity she has decided to do that day, no exceptions. If it isn't so, she'll make it so, and if you tell her it really isn't so, she'll prove that it really is so. Even if she has to fib. If it will make things right, she'll even believe her fibs herself.

From horizon to horizon -- Flannery loves thrills, adventure, and the thrill of adventure. She has ridden as many amusement park rides as she's been able to. She has explored abandoned houses and tracked down hard-to-find eateries. Flannery does all of these things with an eagerness that borders on incredibly stupid. But what's a scrape when you can achieve glory and/or treasure? Restraint is for wimps.

Flaws:

Far at sea again -- Flannery's focus is absolute. She can be in her own little world where nothing matters besides her current goal. Her focus on things to exclusion of all else can be alienating and just a little bit creepy. God help you if you catch her interest and don’t like her, because she will never notice your feelings about it. Ever. Flannery operates under the assumption that everyone would love her once they get to know her.

Remember to be brave -- Flannery assumes that her bravery will inspire everyone around her to be as brazen as she is. Not that Flannery isn't charismatic-- she is, in her own way, but she misunderstands what charisma can do. She can inspire others all she wants, but her belief that the strength of her personality can change the personalities of others can be extremely irritating and possibly turns more people off associating with her than her charisma attracts.

What’s the matter with you? -- Flannery’s dreams are her dreams, and even though she knows very well that they’re not at all realistic, she does not handle anyone telling her these things very well at all. This is her main anger button. Her dreams are very important to her, and she views the questioning of them as an attempt to take her fantasy life away from her. Flannery knows her fantasy life is just a fantasy, but when she feels that it’s threatened, she will insist that it’s all possible, that she will do it no matter what, and that the person who dared tell her otherwise better agree with her or she will never leave them alone. And Flannery can be pretty violent, even if she’s not very skilled at hand-to-hand. She’ll find a way to beat you up, promise.

Physical Description:

Hair: Very dark brown hair to shoulderblades. Mostly straight. Often tied back with a red cord or string.

Eyes: Red.

Face: Nothing of note.

Clothes: Her school uniform with a bunch of simple jewelry. Longish red jacket when she can get away with it, and always pants when out of uniform.
