Padma swished his tail in contentment. It was so nice to be able to soak up the sun. He felt a bit blessed finding a secluded bit of grass. Around him the trees reached for the sky but this little patch was open to the sun. His ears twitched as he heard a nearby stream and the sound of birds happily singing. He wiggled from side to side before emitting a sleepy yawn. Padma had learned to treasure the simple feeling of a peaceful afternoon. His nose twitched smelling the scent of food in the breeze. Padma stomach growled but feeling a bit lazy he ignored his stomach pains.

She didn't like this, the whole being alone thing. She had thought it'd make her grown up, wandering about like a grown woman. She was, right? Yes. Of course. So why was she almost trembling when she heard thunder in the distance? Faaar in the distance...
She hated that about herself, being so shy. So nervous. Neither mothers were, nor was her sister, yet here she was, a nervous wreck that had a kit for a best friend and trembled at hearing thunder. Seriously... she was...
She was growing sick of being so shy!

Padma slowly relaxed and slid into a light slumber. His legs and nose twitched as he dreamed of catching the nearby birds. However Padma would be reluctant to hurt any creature but well one could enjoy dreaming of tasty birds. He slowly woke up and smiled in a sulky way. “Why now I’m really hungry," he grumbled sleepily.

At the sound of a voice her heart jumped, head whipping about. Eh? Tilting her head to see a rather interesting male, her tail flicked when she caught his words. Hungry? Well... she knew of food....
"E-Excuse me." She whispered, approaching him. Ah! Wouldn't her sister be proud? "If you're hungry... I have food back at my house. I can get you some... Sir."

Padma golden eyes gazed at the female. “But my mothers always told me never to go with strangers.” He slyly said before coyly smiling at the fame. But perhaps you’re related, you do have the familiar look about you.” Padma stomach protested. “Hmm I might just take you up on your offer. If you promise not to hurt me, “Padma said as he winked at the girl.

She blushed heavily when he looked at her, her tail flicking before her face to hide it. Oh. He was really handsome. Her head shook softly, braid flipping to the other side as she did. "R-Related? I know my entire family.... well... I know my Mama said her family didn't come here, so we can't be related." Wait. He just said he wouldn't go with strangers.
"That doesn't make me bad! I promise I won't hurt you." She didn't think she was strong enough to do that, either. "You don't have to come, I could get it and come back." She looked at the male, worried perhaps. She wasn't scary, did he think she was because of her appearance. Oh. Suddenly self conscience, she flipped her tail over most of her face now, yellow eyes peering over the fluff nervously.

“Pity I was hoping I had such a cute little cousin,” Padma felt a little disappointed. Well he certainly felt a pull towards the mysterious female. If it wasn’t a family connection..Padma shook he head, perhaps he would find out later. His magic often gave him nudges and he had learned to follow its hints. Padma gazed at the girl trying to make up his mind about the female. She seemed very nervous and unsure. Perhaps she was younger than what he first thought. For some reason Padma wanted to protect her. “You wouldn’t want a older brother,” Padma said halfway in jest.

Blinking at the man, she turned a bright red, again, and shook her head. "Selee is much cuter." She mumbled softly, though a nervous smile touched her lips. At the mention of an older brother she tilted her head briefly, thinking about it for a second.
"Depends. I'm the older sister and yet... I'm a horrid big sister. Selee ends up being the tough one... Maybe an older brother would be good for the both of us." Shaking her head. the vixen looked up at the man. "But Mama and Mother didn't have any boys, so we have to make do. You didn't answer.... Should I bring the food back to you?"

“Well know you mention it, I’m a bit hungry and you don’t mind I’d be happy to receive any food you like to give. “ Padma replied as his stomach rumbled one again. Really his stomach should behave in a proper manner when around company. “I think I should introduce myself, I’m Padma Pardus and now were not strangers. As for your sister I can’t imagine she could be any prettier than you,” Padma said charmingly. He patted the girl on the forehead.”I’m sure you’re a very good big sister who always try’s her best. You should have a little more confidence in yourself. I’m sure your little sister looks up to her pretty big sister. “

Blushing once again at the compliment, Near's ears flattened a bit when he patted her on the forehead. Oh. He thought of her as a kid... That was why he was so easy to give compliments. A bit of shame touched her heart, causing her cheeks to blush brighter. Oh. Yellow eyes flicked up to Padma, nodding gently.
"I'm Near Tra'veil." She mewed back, glancing at his stomach. "I'll go get the food, then." She added, cat-like eyes scanning him briefly before she began to move away, glancing back over. "Please don't leave this spot."

Near Tra'veil.. Padma liked the way the name sounded on his tongue. “What an interesting and lovely name When you come back you must tell me of your names meaning.” Padma placed his paw over his heart. “We’ll miss Near, I promise I will not take one step from this spot, “He replied in weary amusement. Near was so cute and she must be younger then Padma originally thought. Near ‘s youthfulness was utterly refreshing and Padma found himself charmed by it.

With a grin and blush, she nodded at the male, pleased. She was unsure what her name meant, however she could say this when she returned. She was unused to such flattery. Sure, Shadow flattered her constantly, but it didn't make her blush or nervous as when Padma did it. Shadow was like family, like a brother she never had, she treated such flattery as if a brother was saying it.
Though, from a stranger? Eep! Well, he wasn't a stranger, she knew his name! She padded off towards her home, tail wagging side to side when she approached her home, exchanging words with her mothers and sister and attempting to dodge around explaining just why she needed food. Knowing Nyx and Selee, they'd probably come running out to meet this boy. Once she had food, a few meat sandwiches and a thermos with potato soup in it, she padded back to find the nice male, finding him rather quickly.
Plopping the food before him on a tiny blanket, her tail wagged excitedly. "The soup is last nights left-overs, and the sandwiches I made."

“I find that some food becomes especially tasty when it has time to sit. Soups for example only become yummier as time goes by. Sandwiches on the other hand are always tasty. “ Padma said as he intently eyed the spread placed in front of him. His paw came forward towards the food and his stomach growled. He hesitantly laughed at himself. “My stomach's clearly is in agreement. It’s seems my stomach is looking forward to eating food from such a skilled lady. “

Eyes raising to watch his, she blushed happily, glad he was going to take the food so willingly. "You can't say if I'm skilled or not before tasting the food." She nervously replied back, though she was confident it was good. It was just about the only thing she could do right.
"Why are you out here?"
