So, it's been brought to my attention that I'm apparently good at decorating (aaaawe, thanks Span<3) and she suggested me open a decorating service for the guild. Which leads to a few questions:
Which of you guys would use the service?
How should I split up the services? (by picture, by post, by thread, what?)
How much should I charge per?
In other words, for something of very good quality, how much would you be willing to pay if you wanted someone to decorate your thread for whatever reason?
I would really like some feedback, guoise. :3
POTENTIAL PRICES/PACKAGES
By the Roleplay/Thread:
2+: 5k for both, assuming there is four to six posts in each that need to be decorated. 6+ posts = 6/7k for both.
3+ Roleplays/Threads: 7k for all, no post-decorating limit. After 3 roleplays/threads, it's an additional 1/2k for each, depending on how many additional posts need to be decorated.
By the Post:
400g for each post decorated. Only if fonts, colors are used.
Pictures:
Depending on how difficult pictures are to find (or if the buyer is just picky): 350-1k gold each.
Packages:
10 Pictures w/out coding: 4.5k
20 Pictures w/out coding: 9k
And so on. Additional fees may be added depending on how much time it takes, how much detail the customer wants, and how difficult they're being. I call it my a*****e Tax.
Discounts will also be given if the pictures are supplied beforehand. However, the discounts will be slightly less if they need to be edited (because that s**t takes time).

I suppose you could offer packages? Like, 2 pics and coding for X gold. Or by post maybe?
Not sure about prices, but you don't want to make it too expensive, otherwise no one will ask for the service.
Perhaps you might be able to even offer a package for X number of role plays since I know there are several people out there who have a few role plays under their belt.

Packages for a certain number of threads would be awesome. >.>
Anyway, re: pricing. I suppose it would depend on how long it takes you to decorate the average post...I mean, if it takes you twenty minutes, I'd advise less than if it takes you three hours.
Does...hell, I don't know, 2.5k-3.5k sound like a reasonable price range? Too expensive, too cheap?

So, some probable prices have been listed above. Would you guys pay those prices for the services? Or are some of them too steep/too cheap?

Do you have a price if, say, someone only has one thread that needs decorating, but they want you to do the entire thread?
Otherwise, I don't know too much about prices myself, but the packages look pretty fairly-priced to me.

Ha! a*****e tax... love it.
I like it so far. I mean, you're keeping all the general prices under 10k which is good and affordable.
So what you're saying is... if I have a thread of six posts, it will cost me 400g for each post ONLY if you code. But if you just use pictures, then we're looking at possibly 600g per post, correct?

If there's only one roleplay then I was thinking of just doing it via per-post costs. I don't remember my exact process, but something about charging a single roleplay by posts might be less/more expensive than a single-roleplay package, and... I don't know. But I know it was a good reason. >.> Haha, thank you. <3 Cookies if you can guess what movie it's from. Yes, if the pictures are simple and easy to find. If not, it could be upwards of 800g. I want extra if I'm going to spend two hours looking for a ******** picture. Discounts if you supply the pictures. <3
