Forest Field: Thick trees, some small while others greatly exceed double your own height, sprout at random places throughout the field. Giant roots provide easy excuses for pokemon to trip if they do not watch where they are going. Spacing between the trunks vary, making passage difficult for those on the ground and in the air.
This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to BUG and GRASS type attacks.This field also reduces damage from FLYING type attacks by 25 HP.

"Your first battle and luck is already on your side!" The trainer spoke to her Pokemon, still in it's Pokeball.
"Come look at the greenery, Chromatic!" The girl grabbed Chromatic's Pokeball from her bag, and released the Whimsicott.
"Now, we just wait for someone to arrive...It's doesn't even matter who it will be, this field's great!" She took a deep breath, enjoying the smell of the forest, then sat down next to her Whimsicott.

Zinnia walked into the stadium seemingly alone this time; both of her pokemon were being carried in their pokeballs, both for convenience and to attract less attention. The young trainer tried to peer through the trees to the other side of the field to find out who they would be facing, but she couldn't see whoever it was very well. "Hi there!" she called across the stadium. "Let's have a good battle!" More quietly, she said, "Okay, Shadow, show 'em what you're made of." She removed the master ball from its place on her belt, and pressed the button on the center once to enlarge it. She pressed it again, and it opened up and materialized the mew in a beam of red light.
Shadow Mew blinked a couple of times to adjust to the difference in light before silently taking her place on the field. So many trees... They might hinder her flight; she would have to keep that in mind while trying to dodge attacks. It reminded her a bit of the forest she had once called home, so long ago, before she had met Zinnia... But a battle field was no place to be sentimental.

A voice called out, signalling the arrival of their opponent.
"Oh! Someone's there!" She said to her Whimsicott.
"Helloooo! I'm Ms. Sparkles and I'm going to be a gym leader someday, so any battle is a good battle!" The trainer called back to the voice.
"Break's over. That's your cue! When you see them, use a Shadow Ball to lower their defense." She gave her Grass Pokemon a hug before sending her off into the forest.
Chromatic pranced into the forest, keeping an eye out for her opponent.
There-- she spotted the other first. It was a Mew. Chromatic's eyes sparkled in wonder. Her first battle and it's with a legendary! How exciting!
She quickly brought her thoughts back to the battle at hand, and gathered a purple shadow in front of her. It hovered for a moment before hurling towards the unsuspecting Mew.

"Silver Wind!" Zinnia commanded.
Shadow felt her defense fall after being hit by the shadowy attack, but she boosted it back up again in a swirl of silver scales.

Chromatic watched the Mew buff herself up with a swirling mist.
No, no! Chromatic stamped her foot, and summoned another ball of shadow, same as before.

Shadow enveloped herself in another mist after the second shadow ball. It seemed that Chromatic was going to be a stubborn opponent! Or perhaps this was all part of the strategy, to prevent Shadow from giving herself any buffs... Still, there wasn't much else she could do yet.
"Silver Wind!" Zinnia shouted belatedly. "Um... Shadow, I can't see what's going on!"

"Chromatic! What are you doing?! I think you should use an attack now!" Ms. Sparkles suggested to her Pokemon.
The Whimsicott has now taken a liking to Shadow Ball, and she released yet another one towards the Mew. It was a nice purple color, quite fun to watch. Plus, she didn't actually have to get her fluff dirty.

The Shadow Ball came with quite a bit of pain that time. Most of the time, Shadow Mew despised physical attacks where she had to actually get close to her opponent and touch them, but in this case, it might be for the best. Shadow Ball was a long-ranged attack, so it wouldn't matter much how far she was from the fluff ball of a pokemon.
She darted toward Chromatic and swiped at her with her needle-sharp claws.

"Are you thirsty, Chromatic? Mega Drain!" Ms. Sparkles yelled out.
Chromatic was definitely thirsty-- for revenge. The Mew scratched her!
The grass Pokemon backed away from the Mew, and drained her health from a distance.

"Fury Cutter again!" Zinnia shouted from somewhere behind the field of trees.
Judging by Chromatic's reaction, Shadow wasn't too sure if provoking her further with another scratching attack was such a good idea. She went ahead anyway, slashing her claws at the grass-type pokemon.

Chromatic took a strong hit from the bug attack, and stumbled backwards, but she wasn't deterred just yet.
"Use a bug attack of your own, Chromatic! U-turn!" shouted Ms. Sparkles.
The Whimsicott charged, aiming her horns at the Mew.

The U-Turn hit Shadow with enough force to send her hurtling back into a tree. She slammed against the trunk and felt the air whoosh out of her lungs. She gasped for a moment before she was able to find her breath.
"Hang in there, Shadow! Silver Wind!" Zinnia shouted. She couldn't see what was going on, but she had heard a thud. She hoped that Shadow was doing okay...
Shadow was glad to use the ranged attack while she recovered from Chromatic's terrible blow.
